  • Harsher in Hindsight:
    • In the second episode, Breanna finds the bathtub filled with chocolate pudding after Flex and Duane have an all night party. With Flex imitating Bill Cosby afterward, it’s actually gotten hard to watch after he was convicted of sexual assault.
    • In "The Case of the Almost Broken Heart", Arnaz's white cousin Alicia is given a makeover to look more hip. When a cop pulls her over and questions why she drove past a stop sign, she responds with "'Cause you the man and you like to put your foot on our necks? Yay-Yayy!" This was funny back then. Following the death of George Floyd in 2020, however, Alicia's response can be hard to watch.
  • Hollywood Homely:
    • Spirit, who audiences were expected to believe has any trouble whatsoever attracting guys.
    • Lisa, as they didn't even try to make her look unattractive. They just felt the need to keep telling us she was.
  • The Scrappy: D-Mack. While the rest of the new cast in Season 5 at least got somewhat better with time, and were at the very least somewhat interesting, D-Mack was neither of those things. He was a wannabe gangster rapper and casanova who constantly called Lisa, who he knew had a massive crush on him, ugly and insulted her, was a general prick to everyone else, and seemed only there to see how many stereotypes they could cram into one character.
  • Seasonal Rot: Season 5, which did away with every character except Breanna and Arnaz and brought in four new characters to replace them, threw in a bunch of random transitions, and generally lost what humor they had. It got better towards the end of the season, but sadly the show ended before it could pick up again.
