  • Awesome Music: The game features a pretty rocking soundtrack. Certain standouts include Lady Crimson and Malicious Roses. For the slower side of things, there's Eve, a duet between Arnice and Lilysse.
  • Difficulty Spike: While the main game itself is rather simple and the bosses preceding were challenging in their own right, the fight against Ludegert is where the game jarringly shifts the difficulty level. Then in the bonus scenarios that are required to obtain the Golden Ending, the enemies encountered are all at level 11-12 and the bosses at the end of the dungeons (Mistral and Christophorus) are tougher than even the Final Boss.
  • Game-Breaker:
    • Steel Hellion + Vlad's Crest = Everything dies as you spam his extremely damaging Kamehame Hadoken Burst with impunity.
    • Equip Arnice with a Boomerang that has a high attack rating. Use her Nightmare Form. Watch as your projectiles do extra damage because of the added homing ability. Combine this with the Steel Hellion + Vlad's Crest combo from above and a Macersaur's Servan Burst and Arnice can shred through most opposition in mere seconds.
  • Porting Disaster: When Koei-Tecmo ported the game to Steam, they barely gave keyboard users an afterthought. You can use any controller you like (at least, post-patch), but the keyboard layout is unconfigurable, unintuitive, takes three hands to use properly and isn't even mentioned in the game's manual. The game also has no quit option; if you want to end the game, you have to force-quit it, the easiest of which using Alt+F4 (and on some computers, doing this requires you to kill the game's process, because it refuses the X button).
  • That One Achievement: The Colliseum Queen achievement, thanks to the Abyss challenge, which is a battle against an extremely powerful and durable boss and her high-level minions that make the Bonus Bosses seem easy. To even unlock the Abyss challenge, though, you need to get through a challenge that has you facing a giant Steel Hellion fiend. The worst part about this challenge is that the Steel Hellion can one-shot you and your Servans regardless of level or defense rating so you need to defeat it without getting hit even once.
