* HarsherInHindsight: The picture in which [[spoiler:which you and your romantic partner lose the fight against Evil Namco High]] was used for the "Namco High is shutting down" announcement on Website/ShiftyLook.

** The Galaga ship is already extremely popular, probably due to the sheer intrinsic lunacy of the idea.

* TaintedByThePreview: Some people were turned off by the idea due to Hussie's presence. But by that same token, Hussie's involvement sold many others on the idea, in spite of it being a DatingSim (a notoriously unpopular genre outside of Japan), and a particularly strange one at that.
** The announcement of ''Homestuck'' characters in the cast drove a lot of people away, as they'd hoped Hussie could do something completely new rather than go back to the well.

Oh, and it doesn't help that this picture was used for the "Namco High is shutting down" picture, so if you've played the game it results in a LOT of HarsherInHindsight FridgeHorror: the reason Website/ShiftyLook existed was to boost up old Namco franchises and make them popular to a modern audience. And considering the only thing that resulted in it was Wonder Momo getting her own game, all the other franchises basically DIED. Ouch.]]

* WTHCastingAgency: Non-actor example, but pretty much everyone had this reaction when it was announced Hussie was doing a DatingSim. Apparently, the people at Website/ShiftyLook wanted Hussie to do something, and he suggested the genre.

* HoYay: While pretty much ''any'' interaction could count as this depending on how you interpret Cousin's gender, especially during the introductory scene, there's rather a lot of this between Hiromi and Toby in her route (Toby being, despite the name, female), and one of Valkyrie's first lines is to make a fairly blatant pass at Meowkie while winking hugely. Then there's Nidia's route, in which her initial list of likely candidates, based solely on hotness, consists of Richard Miller, Hiromi, and the Galaga ship.
