* BetterThanCanon: In a sense. The manga version of ''VS Knight Lamune & 40 FIRE'' is in many ways better executed than the anime, especially in the final chapters where the original cast of ''NG Knight Lamune & 40'' is actually involved with the final battle and we get to see King Scassher & Queen Cideron one last time in a more dignified way. ESPECIALLY in comparison to the anime where Queen Cideron was destroyed as a result of Da Cider dropping the egg and King Scassher was never mentioned at all in ''VS Knight''.
* FanonDiscontinuity: As far as many ''Lamune & 40'' fans are concerned, the series ended with the final episode of ''VS Knight Lamune & 40 FIRE'' and most of them like to pretend that the ''FRESH'' OVA (aka ''Knights of Ramune'') doesn't exist.... [[DorkAge you can't really fault them for that, to be honest.]]
* DorkAge: The ''FRESH'' OVA for many fans.
* EarWorm: [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sN4PIcL_qPA Both]] [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGOk9Fg-NhM&feature=related openings]] and the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VB4DQQ_hbUk first ending]], as well as all of the other songs in the franchise.
* EvilIsSexy: Gold Mountain and Silver Mountain from the ''DX'' OVA. Actually they are [[{{Fanservice}} barely clothed]].
* GrowingTheBeard: The series starts off like mose kid's shows of it's time, but as the series progress it became more worthy of adult attention, hence why the ''EX'', ''DX'', and ''FRESH'' OVA's were targeted at older audiences.
* HilariousInHindsight: In the XX novel the main villain of the chapter's name is [[NamesTheSame Sasuke]] Yaoi, and well... eight years later, [[{{Manga/Naruto}} would come a certain manga about ninja that's extremely popular with yaoi fangirls]].
