• Crosses the Line Twice: One of the riffs on the jazz soundtrack comes after the moon rover blows up:
  Crow: Wait, oh, the jazz combo was still in there.
  Tom: The day the music died...
  • There's a joke about John Landis crashing a helicopter. Keep in mind this was less than ten years after that incident.
• Hilarious in Hindsight:
  • When the crew is naming games that will be played in the future, Crow mentions "Super Lunar Mario Bros." 17 years later...
  • At one point the crew makes a crack about Donald Trump chasing the good guys. Cut to 2016... It may also be Harsher depending on which side of the aisle you're on.
    • And during the 2020 Live Riff-Along, the live tour cast indeed does note how the joke is still relevant.
• Special Effect Failure: The cookie that Joel "eats" as a part of his Invention Exchange demonstration is clearly fake.
