- Friendly Fandoms: Due to the shared music motif and both works featuring Gael García Bernal in main roles, a good number of adult Coco fans jumped onto the show shortly before Season 4.
- Funny Moments: In the episode "An Honest Ghost", Rodrigo and Hailey go to look for relics that Mozart touched so he can contact Mozart's spirit. They're greeted by a herald at the door. Hailey is about to introduce herself when Rodrigo introduces him for her as "Hai Lai Rutaledge". The herald says exactly that.
- At the end of "An Honest Ghost", Mozart's spirit departs from Rodrigo. While looking for Mozart, Rodrigo finds the spirit of a musician he has more in common with: Liberace.
- Moment of Awesome: The Season 3 episode "Not Yet Titled", a Mockumentary in which the orchestra goes to Rikers Island to perform music by Olivier Messiaen for the prisoners. Yes, they really did go to Rikers Island, that was a real concert, and yes, those are actual prisoners talking about what it was like. Even given the slightly pretentious tone of Bradford's film, it's still amazing.
- Hailey calling Rodrigo out in the third season for his hypocrisy. He claims that the orchestra is his family and yet he leaves them constantly.
- Retroactive Recognition: It's hard to tell under all that makeup, but Santino Fontana (much better known for his roles in Frozen (2013) and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) plays Mozart.
