YMMV / Looped

  • Adorkable: Gwyn's pink hair, short stature, and cute voice makes her somewhat of a lil' cutie.
  • Cliché Storm: Since the show takes place in a school setting, it's filled to the brim with student stereotypes, from the typical bully with a hidden soft side, the popular mean girl of whom everyone worships the ground she walks on, her two clueless girl sidekicks who do as she says without question, the nerdy girl, and the handsome boy who every girl falls for.
  • Growing the Beard: The second half of the series is seen by some as an improvement over the first half, downplaying the grossout humor, fleshing out the characters a little more, and engaging more with continuity and worldbuilding.
  • So Okay, It's Average: The general reception of this series. While the show does have a few fans and has been given some praise for its worldbuilding, it is overall seen as a middling show that wasn't particularly memorable outside its gimmicky premise, especially when compared to Neptoon Studios' previous series Grojband, which has achieved cult status with many.
  • Tough Act to Follow: While Grojband developed a loyal Periphery Demographic that still lingers to this day, Looped's reception was much more lukewarm with those who saw it, and it's often seen as a disappointment compared to Grojband. Even Todd Kauffman's first series Sidekick managed to develop a more larger fanbase than Looped, despite receiving a generally more mixed reception than Grojband.
  • The Woobie: One can't help but feel somewhat bad for Principal Applecrab, as Luc and Theo love tricking him into doing all kinds of painful and humiliating things for their amusement, despite the fact that he's shown as a miserable and pathetic man with big dreams in life rather than a hateful Dean Bitterman who deserves such abuse.
