* DesignatedVillain: The Rottens are designated as the villains for cheating despite the Scooby Doobies and Yogi Yahooeys doing plenty of cheating themselves.
** The rail handcar race justified the Scoobies' cheating. Since the Rottens were using a jet rocket for their car and detoured a section of track for the Yogis (Doggie Daddy and Grape Ape) to burst through a rock, giving them an advantage, the judges ruled that Blue Falcon and Dynomutt could use their gadgets in the race.
* EvilIsSexy: Daisy Mayhem
* HarsherInHindsight: In one episode, they went to two locations. New Orleans... and Atlantis.
* StrawmanHasAPoint: Issue 9 of the comic has a sheriff forced into mandatory retirement and his replacement refusing to allow him to help with a theft on the grounds that he's too old. Thing is the new sheriff isn't wrong as the theft happened because of the old one being overpowered by the thieves. The new sheriff was ''perhaps'' a little insensitive about the situation but no bringing someone that has proven they can't handle such a problem is the only sensible solution. Not to mention that the old sheriff only manages to get involved in the case because of the new one getting trapped and only being freed if he allows the old one' involvement.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: A fourteenth issue of the comic book, about a vengeful college professor who makes the Yogis and Rottens shrink to tiny size, went unpublished.
