• Ensemble Dark Horse: Angus MacGregor, the Scottish blacksmith who can somehow shoot fireballs from his crotch. The silliness of this made him quite possibly the most popular character in the game, as well as for his rather cool Death Move in which he kicks his opponent's head off and then headbutts it out of mid-air.
• Narm: The voice of the Asian Speekee Engrish announcer was unintentionally fun:

• They Copied It, So It Sucks!: The game is a blatant rip-off of Mortal Kombat to the degree of using the same gameplay, same kinds of moves such as the uppercut, and the same number of characters as the first game. To make matters worse, Mortal Kombat II was released a year before this game, and the console versions were already out by the time this game hit store shelves.
• WTH, Costuming Department?:
  • Despite Alaric I usually being depicted as a muscular man with a beard and light-weight armor, this game depicts him as an androgynous person resembling a cross between Anne Ramsey and Meat Loaf, wearing a plaid tunic and a white vest that conjure images of a redneck housewife wearing an apron.
  • Despite being portrayed as a street vigilante, Danja looks more like a prostitute thanks to her very strange spandex jumpsuit, which has no less than five Cleavage Windows all over it.
