YMMV / Jimmy Davis

  • Awesome Art: If "King of the Plums" Michael Rosen or the dancing King Harkinian that looks straight out of the source material are any indication, Jimmy is quite talented at both 3D-modelling and 2D art. It says a lot that the Zelda CD-I cutscenes can be listed under this trope because of him.
  • Bizarro Episode: "SpacedHipster Creeps Out Mario" plays out somewhat like a drug trip and was even called "freakin' weird" by Jimmy himself.
  • Broken Base: Jimmy's videos have steadily been increasing in the amount of adult humor and occasional swearing that they contain from approximately "MyCarly" onward. Some don't really have a problem with this, given what the YTP genre/artform is known for, while others are lamenting the fact that Jimmy is drifting away from being one of the cleaner YouTube Poopers in the field and wish he would go back to cleaner humor.
  • Crosses the Line Twice: The ending of "The MythBusters Discover the Penny": Jamie needs to find someone who will let him shoot them in the eye in order to prove that "if you get shot in the eye, it probably wouldn't kill you", to which Adam volunteers. One "BANG!" later, we cut to Jamie sitting atop Adam's headstone as Jamie declares the myth busted, complete with the requisite "Busted" seal. It's both incredibly messed up and hilarious at the same time.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: A quick gag in LarryMan Twice involves the singers of the "LarryMan" theme song singing "Here comes Dat Boi", followed by Michael Rosen protesting that "you're supposed to be dead!" to the eponymous meme character. Dat Boi then declares that "the dead shall rise again". Coincidentally, the Dat Boi meme was, at the time of the YTP's upload date, currently seeing a resurgence in popularity after having previously petered out.
  • Nightmare Fuel:
    • LarryMan Twice
      • Somewhat of a more nuanced example, but there's the real opening of "Larryman Twice". Larry once again refuses to do the theme song despite Bob's insistence. Bob then snaps, chases after Larry with a shotgun, and shoots him several times off-screen. But it turns out that Larry survived being shot several times and then declares that he is going to do "what [he] should have done all along". Cue Larry throwing Bob into a food processor and putting his remains in a pizza, set to an increasingly demented version of "Pizza Angel". Fortunately, Larry then wakes up to find that it was a nightmare... only to be infomed that it wasn't a dream, and Larry looks down to see a smashed piece of pizza covered in tomato sauce on the ground. Cue Big "NO!".
Pizza Angel, please come to me
Tomato sauce and cheese so gooey
Tomato sauce and cheese so gooey
Tomato sauce and cheese so gooey
    Tooomaatoo saauce aaand cheeese sooo.....
    • "Larryman Twice" has quite a few of these moments, such as Dat Boi suddenly rushing at the screen in the "Larryman" song, Junior's dad jumpscaring the viewer after being revealed to be a robot, and the sudden Scare Chord when the giant Weegee shoots Junior.
      • There's also a moment where Larry is told by Alfred to speak to the mayor on the phone. He picks up the phone, only to be greeted by a distorted version of Mayor Kravindish. The scene then cuts to Alfred's face twisting and becoming increasingly distorted as he repeats "It's the mayor...", while behind Larry, the weegee-fied Junior closes in. Fortunately, all this is reversed when Larry tells the 'mayor' to "Go to hell!".
    • I.M. Meen's Deteriorating Mental Stability:
      • There's a Pacman parody, with I.M. Meen as Pacman and the children as the ghosts. Meen eats a power pill, then chases after the children and eats them. The creepy part comes afterwards, where there's a close up of Meen with a Twitchy Eye, screaming "I ate those little children... I ATE THOSE CHILDREN!"
      • There's also a part where I.M. Meen teleports away, but forgets his eyes, which leads to a close up of him with no eyes.
  • Tear Jerker: Jeff aka. Space Hamster crying at PBG's grave near the end of "PBG's Ping Pong Poop". Granted, the whole sequence involving PBG being Driven to Suicide after accidentally shooting someone is played for (dark) laughs (and is revealed to be all just a movie PBG was watching almost immediately afterwards), but there's something heart-breaking about seeing Jeff crying at his good friend's grave, YTP or not.
  • Visual Effects of Awesome: Nearly all of his poops feature excellent chroma-keying and other effects.
