• Moral Event Horizon: Jack is a thief, and worse. As he grows more powerful, he does terrible things to his enemies, but in his mind, it is only fair after what they have done to him. Evene makes a game effort to steer him in the right direction... which stops when she sees what he's done to her former master... and there's no excuse for what he does to her then.
  And he departed, and these things were done as he had said.
  • ...and yet it's only fair to note that he begins to think differently under the influence of actually having a soul.
