  • Awesomeness Withdrawal: Following the series to the current end can have an effect not unlike a caffeine withdrawal.
  • Better on DVD: As the chapters go into the triple digits, the manga authors add both more continuity and more characters while only releasing eight pages a month, to the point readers have to remember plot points like the Ginger girls losing a job at Bright Bunny to Yura that not only happened over a year prior, but also had other plotlines interupting that one while it was going on. Needless to say, rereading through the series in volume format not only alleviates this, but it's practically required just to remember what the hell is going on at any given time.
  • Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: The "mayim mayim" dance from 2x11. The series has a lot of the typical exaggerated anime flourishes, but the dance scene gets so weird it starts to border on Deranged Animation.
  • Fan Nickname: Sharo is sometimes called Sxaro, as a compromise between two rival romanizations of her name, Sharo and Syaro.
  • Harsher in Hindsight:
    • In vol. 10 ch. 4, Chino wails at her grandfather, "Don't say things like 'You don't need me anymore' that make it sound like you're going to disappear!" A mere twenty-two chapters later, after Chino finally says what he needs to hear, he ascends to Heaven in the middle of the night without saying a word to anybody, which utterly devastates Chino.
    • Chapter 136 ends with Chino and her grandfather debating whether she should continue to run Rabbit House the way he ran it, or spread her wings and find a way to run it that makes her happy. He ends the chapter by saying, "Maybe we'll find out soon enough." When Chino finally answers that question in chapter 145, it becomes the trigger for his ascension to heaven.
  • Heartwarming in Hindsight: Right before the girls (and Tippy) leave for their trip to the beach in chapter 140, Chino's grandfather asks if Takahiro will be alright running Rabbit House "while I'm away". Takahiro says not to worry about it and Aoyama pops up to say she'll be helping out too. This chapter is the start of a story arc that ends with Chino's grandfather ascending to Heaven, so basically they're telling him Rabbit House will be in good hands after he goes to the great beyond.
  • Launcher of a Thousand Ships: Cocoa gets shipped with literally all of her peers and kouhai, thanks to the countless Les Yay moments she's had with everyone.
  • Les Yay:
    • Syaro's admiration for Rize is very strong; between her fantasies about Rize, becomes flustered when she's around and blushes when complimented, it's clear she's got a crush on her. On the whole, however, the girls do not have such a dynamic with one another: compared with other works in Manga Time Kirara, such as Sakura Trick, Kiniro Mosaic, and Yuyushiki, GochiUsa is more tame.
    • Chapter 139. After Yura buys a bunch of BDSM equipment from the flea market, she asks Rize if she wants to try the stuff out.
  • Memetic Mutation:
  • Moe: Cute girls doing cute things in a café.
  • One True Threesome: Megu/Chino/Maya. For One True Foursome, Cocoa may be added.
  • Shipping: This series has a lot of different possible ending couples and threesomes, especially since many of the girls have expressed interest and attraction to one another. There is basically enough Ship Tease for any couple one might like.
  • Ship-to-Ship Combat: Cocoa/Chino Vs. Chiya/Cocoa Vs. Syaro/Chiya Vs. Rize/Syaro, and that's just the main pairing fights.
  • Sweet Dreams Fuel: This series is just like a nice hot cup of coffee; allowing you to sit back and fall into a relaxing world of warmth, belonging and comfort.
  • Sweetness Aversion: The series is so full of cuteness that some may find it too saccharine for their tastes. The ending animation for the second season is so sweet some feel that there's a possibility of getting saccharine overdose while watching it.
  • Tear Jerker: Once Chino's grandfather hears what he needs to hear, he's suddenly shepherded off to heaven by Saki in the middle of the night, never getting the chance to say goodbye to his family. Poor Chino spends the whole next chapter depressed and bawls her eyes out at the end.
  • What Do You Mean, It's Not for Little Girls?: The series has a brightly-colored art style and takes place in an idyllic European-style town, and the characters are adorable girls who look younger than they are thanks to the art style. Like other manga that are serialized in Manga Time Kirara, it's actually aimed at adult men.
