- Broken Aesop: The comic pokes fun at fangirls quite often, while at the same time being a host to some of the more prominent traits.
- Crack Pairing: Specifically referenced.
- Funny Moments: A fair few. Often involving Blinky. ("Hugs for everyone!")
- There have also been crossovers with Nukeland Cinema and Warped.
- Also this. (bonus points for the MST3K reference) and the last panel of this.
- Heartwarming Moments: The ending.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: In this comic, both versions of The Fallen hang out together despite him not having an Alternate Self. After the events of "Out of One, Many" Multiversal Singularities no longer exist, meaning that The Fallen can now interact with alternate versions of himself.
- Memetic Mutation: All over the place.
- Shipping: The 'Serious Business' arc involved every Transformer speed-dating every other Transformer (and thereby supporting every single possible ship) as a hilarious Take That! to shipping.
- Moment of Awesome: Arguably "Hydra Cannon" for the Brigade, and Unicron's entrance.
- The ending with Thrust defeating the forces of Chaos for good by rickrolling them.
- Villain Decay: Done deliberately with The Fallen who starts out as the Knight of Cerebus but soon decays into an Ineffectual Sympathetic Villain. In the final storyline however he comes back in a big way, just in time to be humiliatingly defeated for good by Thrust rick-rolling him.
- Word of God: Regarding Dreadmoon and Skyfire being Flat Earth Atheists, "Super-powerful and inexplicable entities exist in the ''Insecticomics''. Skyfire and Dreadmoon acknowledge their existence while denying their divinity."
