- Awesome Music:
- Mecha-Spaghettio's music. It's a remix of an already awesome song. You may recognize it, especially since it was briefly featured in the original I Wanna Be the Guy during the Vic Viper sequence.
- The boss battle music from the new Hell Zone, a rock remix of the first Dr. Wily Stage theme from Megaman 2. You know the one.
- The music from the lock-platform ascent up to Stickykeys' castle is a relaxing track from Ape Escape.
- Crosses the Line Twice: THE HAND flipping you off in the Mario part.
- Sequel Difficulty Spike: Although it's not technically a sequel, this game is widely acknowledged as being even harder than I Wanna Be the Guy.
- Funny Moments: Finding out who the final boss is.
- Goddamned Bats: Exactly what it says on the save point.
- Nightmare Fuel - Trial 5. When you get down to ground level, the a horrific, loud noise occurs and the colour messes up, everything begins to shake, and the screen size suddenly shrinks to about a TENTH of the width, starting off one of the most horrifically difficult scrolling levels in the history of mankind. The noise and music are right from level 6 of Eversion, which doesn't help due to the heartbeat, and if you die, the walls close entirely, making the screen entirely black, making your death look very...final. And then, right at the end, theres a giant Delicious Fruit in the way, that only appears after its scrolled backwards a bit, so it appears in a previously empty spot.
- Even though the Delicious Fruit at the beginning was supposed to be "the only one in the game."
- Nightmare Retardant: The Mario Eversion segment isn't all that scary, but then all of a sudden you see a giant eye pop out above Bowser's castle.
- Scrappy Mechanic: Deliberate. Because the controls can't be altered like in the original game, the StickyKeys window will appear more often, unless it is disabled. It turns out to be the Final Boss of the game.
- That One Level: The Autoscroller part of the final dungeon, as well as the bit directly after it - you have to get past a cascade of falling fruit that even Remilia Scarlet would find excessive. This falling fruit section has mercifully been taken out of the game in the final version.
