* VillainDecay: Dr. Minyak --the show's original BigBad-- suffers from this trope big time. In his first appearance, he was built up as being one of Captain Man's greatest foes, knowing his secret identity, his weakness, and nearly ending his superhero career, and his next first appearances have him place Henry in a deep sleep, and have Charlotte brainwashed and beat up her companions. However, by the time Season 3 rolls around, he starts to lose is creditability as a genuine threat, and in Season 4 the heroes stop taking him seriously altogether. Even the news reporters and civilians don't view him as a threat anymore.

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: Despite, Charlotte and Jasper being some of the main characters for the series just as much as Henry and Ray are, were barely get to see Jasper's home life, and we don't get to see Charlotte's at all. We don't even get to see her parents! This would possibly make her a bit more complex and sympathetic as we'd likely get to see some of her own personal struggles, and showcase that under her guise of being the group's OnlySaneWoman, she's broken down by something in her life. But alas, no such luck.

* BigLippedAlligatorMoment:
** Near the start of the episode ''"Cave In"'', an elderly man enters the shop asking if anyone has seen a newspaper with several thousand dollars rolled up in it. Henry and Charlotte say they haven't and the man leaves in worry. Other than a "Who reads newspapers" comment from Henry, ''nothing'' is made of this at all after the fact.
** The whole first scene was full of allusions to ''Film/ItsAWonderfulLife'' (with a pretty decent Creator/JimmyStewart impression when Ray yells at the little girl trying out the piano) including this man who was clearly a reference to Uncle Billy who lost money in this manner in the film.

Per thread, this is a shoehorn.

** To anyone who does not support Donald Trump, Hilary Clinton or care about politics in general, "The Trouble With Frittles" in its entirety definitely puts a sour taste in viewer's mouths nowadays due to real life occurrences relating to the General Elections that have occurred in 2016 and 2020 respectively. The plot features a snack debate between Henry and Ray over red and blue Frittle chips to see what would become the newest Frittle flavour; three days after this episode aired, Donald Trump won the 2016 election, done some controversial things throughout his time as president and raided the Capitol in 2021 after Biden won the 2020 election. Looking back at this episode now makes you wonder if you should watch it or skip it.

* CastingGag: Having Ray be a fan of the red Frittles in the obligatory election episode is incredibly funny, considering that Cooper Barnes is a staunch progressive.
* ContrivedCoincidence: In "A New Evil", Rick Twittler used the interdimensional goo from "Danger Things", the Flabbergas from the same named episode, the cake from "Henry's Birthday", the bomb from "Whistling Susie" and the cactus from "The Great Cactus Con" to take the hero's powers. While the first two can be explained, Rick had no reason to believe Henry's family would buy him a special diez leches cake (heck, Henry's father had to fight off other customers to get the last one) nor would he have reason to think Ray would have any of the cake. As for the bomb, unless it was a BatmanGambit, why did he believe the vice mayor would send it down to the Man Cave rather than calling the appopriate authorities?

* FreeRangeChildren: Occasionally they have aspects of this. However, "Spoiler Alert" showed Piper and Charlotte as well as the equally young president of the Man Fans and her friends all attending the midnight showing of the new "Galaxy Wars" movie without parents or any other adults.
** Also with "Meet Cute Crush" and its subsequent ''Series/GameShakers'' crossover "Babe Loves Danger" (airing on the same day), Henry goes to New York City by himself, staying at a hotel rather than with his friend he went to visit.
