Insulting the Queen is regarded as this in Britain. There was a DJ who was fired for cutting her off the radio during her Christmas Day Speech on the grounds that it was "Boring."
While people DO criticize her and the system even people who don't respect the system respect her. It must be something about her doing her job for 60 years after the example of her uncle.
Unacceptable Targets: Especially in the early years of her reign it was considered quite taboo to depict the Queen on screen or in print, let alone aggressively mock her. This has obviously lessened considerably in recent decades.
