• Accidental Innuendo: Happens when Max overhears the rather suggestive banter when Bruce and Conner fight.
• Base-Breaking Character: Lucy is either an awesome and powerful heroic figure who steps in to save Kale, or an annoying character who shows up out of nowhere to take over the comic.
• Nightmare Fuel: Kale. As a guinea pig. First he was transformed into a human, and then when he was beaten up, his repressed memory of him transforming into a fox tried to kill him in his dreams. Later, it's implied that unless they are able to erase this memory (fox Kale, or Fale) then he will have to be killed.
• No Yay: The author himself has said he doesn't like when fans ship his characters sexually (the ones in high school, anyway), since they are all canonically under the age of consent.
• Squick: Funny Animals in this universe do not like washing their hands, because fur clogs the drains and takes awhile to dry. That can be quite a bit unappealing for anyone with even rudimentary hygiene hangups.
