* CriticalResearchFailure: In the 2016-17 Marvel NOW ''Foolkiller'' miniseries, Salinger is now allegedly a therapist with degree in psychiatry. During his appearances in ''Deadpool and the Mercs for Money'', he made references to also going to graduate school for psychiatry. It would be more appropriate to say that Salinger has a degree in psychology. A psychiatry degree involves first qualifying to be an M.D. (Medical Doctor) and then additional training in psychiatry. You need to be an M.D. because this is required to prescribe medication of any kind. Greg does not give the impression that he has spent the years needed for an M.D., residency, and years of additional psychiatric training and his history makes it somewhat improbable. With his apparent education (which seems to be a Master's Degree at most), he may barely still qualify as a psychological therapist but he would most likely be working in tandem with a psychiatrist. And, again, given his own history, as well as the fact that he would be relatively new to the practice, he would definitely be working under heavy supervision.
* FanonDiscontinuity:
** This is how most Foolkiller fans treat a lot of the post-1991 appearances of Salinger or Gerhardt, with major examples being:
** The bizarre Lunatik episode in which a renegade FBI agent allegedly had Salinger temporarily released so that he could frame Comicbook/GhostRider character Vengeance. The Foolkiller's method of executing his victims by burning is similar to Vengeance's; that's all that the two have in common however, as Vengeance does not kill, he only torments.
** Gerhardt was among the many villains who escaped from The Raft and joined ComicBook/TheHood's army during ''ComicBook/CivilWar''. Still later, he was seen in a mental hospital picking fights with SelfDemonstrating/{{Deadpool}}, and was among those vying for the bounty placed on Agent ComicBook/{{Venom}}'s head by Lord Ogre.
* InNameOnly: This is the attitude many fans have towards the Creator/MarvelMax Foolkiller.
* MemeticMutation: The various rants in the miniseries, but especially:
--> '''Gerhardt:''' The garbage is home to me. I thrive in it. It strengthens me.
