* CultClassic: While more short-lived than Series/TheBachelor, the first two seasons arguably have a more passionate fanbase than its "rival" and the appearance of the show on streaming services have allowed fans to binge-watch again despite it being over 15 years since the premiere.

* ThisIsYourPremiseOnDrugs: It's Series/TheBachelor with the trashiest, cattiest women you've ever met, with more sex, swearing, fights and general bad behavior in one season than the former would see in a decade, alongside the man they are competing to get being the hype man of Music/PublicEnemy. However, despite being short-lived and more of a guilty pleasure than accessible crowd-pleaser ''The Bachelor,'' it nevertheless accumulated an unprecedented fandom that rivaled the series it was based off of, and some viewers did commend [=VH1=] for making Tiffany Pollard "the first black [[Series/TheBachelorette Bachelorette]]."[[note]]It would take the real Bachelorette another ten years to feature a black female protagonist, and was considered big news at the time.[[/note]]

* [[MagnificentBastard Magnificent Bitch]]: New York

* JerkassWoobie:
** New York becomes this for being dumped by Flav in the final round ''TWICE.'' Even Buckeey admitted in an interview that she felt bad for New York despite not liking her.
** Deelishis can count. While she was a {{jerkass}} to Krazy due to implied jealousy, many hints have been revealed that this is also due to insecurities regarding her appearance. She's shown to have gotten ''a lot'' of plastic surgery done and it can be summed up to self-hate (she also bleached her skin). Deelishis even made an appearance on Wendy Willams' show back in 2007, with the latter insulting Deelishis looks (she made really cruel remarks about Deelishis' teeth) and Deelishis looked as though she wanted to cry.
* LoveToHate: New York was ''the'' contestant to LoveToHate when the show first debuted. Nowadays, most people take her character with a grain of salt and love her even while she's being a JerkAss.

* TheScrappy: This show has a few.
** Pumkin is so disliked by fans that it would be so difficult to find any nice comments about her. This is probably why Pumkin had made several excuses as to why she can’t appear on Lacey’s Talk of Love podcast.
** Krazy isn’t liked too much either due to her naivety. This is probably why Krazy had decided to stop appearing on reality shows (and also why she skipped the Charm School reunion). She is also not too active on social media either as a result of this.
** Plenty of people dislike Cherry due to her whiny, embittered and loud-mouthed persona, especially at the reunion and trying too hard to stay relevant. You'll be hard-pressed to see anyone who likes her, let alone if they actually ''remember'' her.

* TheWoobie:
** Sweetie in the episode of her elimination. She explained a traumatizing story about her fear of chicken, and she had to cook a chicken for Flav.
** Krazy. While she was naive and made very stupid decisions, it's hard to not feel sorry for her when the other contestants act hostile towards her when she was never truly malicious to anyone.

* WhatAnIdiot:
** There were many obvious hints and foreshadowing that Flav wasn’t a good person for New York to be with and that he didn’t want to pick her, but New York chose to ignore them and though with her heart instead of her brain and made bad decisions regarding Flav (sleeping with him many times). Even New York’s own mother warned her about the possibility of Flav not picking her for the second time.
** Smiley has an emotional breakdown and confides her insecurity about her participation and confides in seemingly the first person she sees... not the laid-back Hoopz or the TeamMom Goldie...but [[JerkAss New York]]. New York even questions why she, of all people, would be the one to confide in when she's completely uninterested in socializing with the other girls. (To her credit, New York didn't betray her by name to Flav, however.)

* BrokenBase: Pumkin spitting on New York. Some fans seen as reprehensible especially considering that she's white and New York is black even though it wasn't about race. Other fans while seeing that it's wrong think that New York is almost deserving of this due to her confrontational behavior.

* ValuesDissonance: Insults about being gay, transgender, and "retarded" are thrown around frequently. While they were never classy comments to make, it was much more common to hear these kind of insults in the mid-2000s, even on public television. Today, they are considered much more offensive and it would be outrageous to have a contestant use that language without being kicked off the show or lambasted online. [[SoBadItsGood That being said, it wouldn't be celebreality without that level of trashiness]].

* FirstInstallmentWins: While this was actually a spin-off of a spin-off, it started the VH1 celebreality dating show trend but was by far the most popular of the "universe." As a straighter example, the first season of the show is the most popular and well-known.

* SoBadItsGood: Despite this show being considered trashy, many people still took the time to watch it. The finale even broke VH1 viewing records. Even today, some people love watching this show ''only'' because it's so bad, in comparison to other safer and more family-friendly dating shows.
