- Crazy Is Cool: All the heroes... An exorcist, a female ex-librarian turned into Action Girl, a X-Men mutant wannabe, a blind man that claims to have superpowers, a man covered in orange fur who sweats acid... All of them using I Know Mortal Kombat and a lot of luck to fight, and it works.
- Funny Moments: It's an humoristic series, what did you expect? Almost all of these are also Moment of Awesome.
- Heartwarming Moments: A few of them too.
- Ho Yay: Leona Vaskez with Ellen Replay in Star Hounds Genesis and with Belit in Dracula Returns.
- Moment of Awesome: Thousands! Thousands of them! It has to be expected in a series constructed around the Rule of Cool.
- Tear Jerker: The novel begins with a big one: John Konstantin's death from cancer, with his wife (Belit) and daughter (Erika) at his side
- Alejo's death at the end of The Final Conflict
