• Alternative Character Interpretation: It's heavily implied that Kane raped her backstage. Perhaps that messed her up and turned her into the "Hoeski" everyone knows her as.
• Creator's Pet: A rather complex case, while never particularly hated, WWE tried to push Eve as their new golden girl for a long time to mixed results. Her second championship win came at the expense of cutting off Natalya's momentum at the knees. After that title run proved to be a bust, the company paired her up with Kelly Kelly, who legitimately was the most over Diva at that point and soon tried to push Eve as the face of the Diva Division. Eve was then paired with Zack Ryder, who was currently at his most over point with the crowd. The crowds still weren't buying it, so Eve was finally turned heel, betraying Zack Ryder. This time it finally worked, and Eve has been able to roll with it make her heel turn work. Irony comes into it when one realises that crowds did begin to cheer for Eve during her 2010 push - she was getting very respectable reactions. Then she was Demoted to Extra in favour of the returning Melina and her further face pushes failed to get over with fans.
• Fridge Brilliance:
  • Her rather petty firing of the Bella Twins. She probably hadn't forgotten that they cheated her out of her second Divas' Championship. Notably they didn't return to WWE until after Eve herself had quit. Though as of the 2013 Slammy Awards, it seems all three Divas have put it behind them^note Eve returned as a face to present the Diva of the Year award, which the Bellas won
  • In hindsight with her heel turn, her Idiot Ball tendencies when Kane was chasing her. Foreshadowing that she was really a Dirty Coward.
• Growing the Beard: During her first Divas' Championship reign, Eve was noted by many to be always mixing up her moves and attempting to do something new in the ring. Crowds also began to warm to her, until she was suddenly pushed aside in favour of Melina.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Eve revealed her evil plan to seduce John Cena to the Bella Twins. Shortly afterwards, Nikki Bella would begin a relationship with John. And would later have a kayfabe storyline where other women accused her of using him to further her career.
• Hollywood Pudgy: Averted. She's of noticeably more muscular frame than the likes of Kelly Kelly, Alicia Fox and the Bella Twins but the announcers never mentioned this.
• Never Live It Down: Since her initial heel turn, her character has developed into a heel manager's ball-busting female assistant. But the "HOESKI" chants from her angle with Zack Ryder have still stuck.
• Rescued from the Scrappy Heap: While she wasn't exactly a scrappy before she turned heel (quite popular with Diva fans on the internet), the amount of heat she got after her turn was insane, especially for WWE today.
• Shocking Moments: Her match with Alicia Fox at Money In The Bank where she went for a senton splash and landed right on Alicia's knees (planned obviously). Yikes that had to hurt.
• Suspiciously Similar Song: Her third theme was one of "Call On Me".
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: As Eve showed against Beth Phoenix at Vengeance 2011 and in various matches on Superstars, she was more than capable of going in the ring. And in 2010 when she won her first title, although she was green, crowds did begin to cheer for her. However her momentum was abruptly cut off as she lost the Divas' Championship to Alicia Fox, who in turn was buried in favour of the returning Melina. Eve's second title win came out of nowhere and again very little was done with her. She could have made for a great top babyface and become over if WWE had followed through on her face pushes. Thankfully averted as of her Face–Heel Turn - her heel run was very well received.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Eve's storyline with Zack Ryder ended rather lamely after WrestleMania and he never got much of his own back on her; the closest thing was a segment a few months later where he accidentally drenched her with punch. It was rumoured that Layla would return as a Face to help Zack Ryder out, against Eve and another male Superstar. That would have both given Ryder some closure and set Layla up as a face, while also giving Eve something to do other than act as secretary for Johnny Ace.
• Unintentionally Sympathetic: Some fans found the crowd turning on Eve for kissing John Cena a little too extreme - since she and Zack Ryder were Just Friends. This is likely why WWE went out of their way to illustrate that Eve was manipulating them both for attention.
• Why Would Anyone Take Her Back?: Zig-zagged. She kissed John Cena while kinda dating/being courted by Zack Ryder and subsequent episodes have gone back and forth as to whether Zack is with her or not and where that leaves the two of them if Ryder is a babyface and Eve a heel.
