• Anvilicious: This is a hundred-minute plus long PSA about the dangers of doing drugs and the evils of drug smuggling, hidden behind a somewhat mediocre story.
• Padding: While episodes starting with the last moments of the previous episode (if they are part of the same story) isn't unheard of in Classic Who, Part 3 opens with the last two-and-a-half minutes of Part 2.
• Special Effects Failure: The Mandrals have gone down as one of the least impressive monsters of the series.
