YMMV / David Guetta

Go To

  • Broken Base: The Electronic Music fandom is divided as to whether Guetta is a positive force in the scene.
  • Fandom Rivalry: Fans of Armin Van Buuren are especially cold with Guetta.
  • Harsher in Hindsight: His decision to use Sia's demo vocals for "Titanium". To say she didn't want the new attention she'd gotten so soon after her intended retirement from being a singer is an understatement. She later revealed that she was nearly Driven to Suicide over it.
  • Signature Song: "Love Is Gone" and "Titanium" are the best candidates, as in each case, the vocalist isn't famous enough to overshadow Guetta on the song. But once Sia became more famous on her own, the song became less associated with him and the former has now taken the lead.
  • Suspiciously Similar Song:
    • The backing track to Flo Rida and Nicki Minaj's "Where Them Girls At?" sounds very similar to "Sexy Bitch", one of Guetta's other songs.
  • Win Back the Crowd: Needless to say, 2014 was not the best year for him with his divorce and the controversy surrounding "Titanium". In 2022, he proved he's Still Got It with the massive success of "I'm Good (Blue)".
