  • Crowning Music of Awesome: Death's "Cosmic Sea," the title theme of the game.
  • Demonic Spiders: The Shocktroopers. Not only do they either dual wield MP5 submachine guns or carry a SMAW rocket launcher, but they're also extremely aggressive, are crack shots, and wear heavy body armor that makes them nearly impervious to smaller caliber firearms (unless loaded with armor piercing or other special ammo). Throughout most of the game they show up as Elite Mooks, but during the last chapter you'll be facing them and the Robotanks and gun turrets exclusively in very unforgiving terrain. Hope your squad commanding skills are up to task.
  • Unfortunate Implications: Quite a few. The portrayal of some Marines as borderline psychopaths is questionable, as is the whole premise of a few missions in the 3rd chapter where you, leading a fully armed fireteam of US Marines, assault militia compounds in the United States just to seize "illegal weaponry."
    • To be fair Richard Rouse (the game's designer) stated that the entire concept of Damage Incorporated (a covert team organized to combat terrorism by any means necessary) was to him, rather morally questionable, especially in light of the then recent events at Ruby Ridge and Waco. He felt it was a possibility that the US government at that time would create a unit like Damage Incorporated to deal with domestic terrorists but he by no means was necessarily supportive of such an action.
