YMMV / Butt-Ugly Martians

• Awesome Music: The show's theme song is very catchy.
• The Problem with Licensed Games: The series has had three licensed games of varying quality.
  • Butt-Ugly Martians: Martian Boot Camp for the PC, where the player chooses to play as B-Bop A-Luna, 2T Fru-T, or Do-Wah Diddy to earn points in various minigames to determine whether they are worthy to continue invading Earth for Emperor Bog. The game is considered mediocre.
  • Butt-Ugly Martians: Zoom or Doom for the PlayStation 2 and Nintendo GameCube is an uninspired racing game panned for its lack of challenge.
  • Butt-Ugly Martians: BKM Battles for the Game Boy Advance has the player control the Butt-Uglies while they explore different areas and gather keys to go to the next stage of each level and defeat the boss. The game isn't perfect, but is better received than Zoom or Doom.
• So Bad, It's Good: For a lot of people, the show is entertaining to watch because of this.
• They Copied It, So It Sucks!: The show often gets accused of being an Invader Zim knock-off. Incidentally, it had its initial American run on Nickelodeon.
  • The show also follows the formula set down by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1987) with Totally Radical colour-coded junk food loving non-human heroes aided by human allies - well over a decade after the trend had died out.
• Unintentional Uncanny Valley: A lot of viewers consider the human characters to be even more butt-ugly than the titular Martians. Shaboom-Shaboom also falls into this with her more realistic appearance compared to the rest of the characters, humans included.
