Big Lipped Alligator Moment: There are many strange scenes that seemingly doesn't add anything to the film. Among them is a scene where two Mexican hitmen swerve their car through a puddle of mud with trademark Peckinpah slo-mo, and Benny pouring booze on his dick after a night of making love to Elita. At the time, critics used these scenes to dismiss the film as the work of an insane drugged out idiot. Nowadays they are more likely to be seen as self parody.
Memetic Mutation: Variations on the title. For example, a Dilbert collection was called Bring Me the Head of Willy the Mailboy, while on I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue Graeme uses the title practically every time they have to come up with thematic titles (e.g. if the theme is food, "BRING ME THE FRIED BREAD OF ALFREDO GARCIA!")
So Bad, It's Good/Love it or Hate it: Has been featured on many lists of both the best and worst movies of all-time. Notably, Michael Medved belongs to the former camp, while Roger Ebert belonged to the latter. Most who have seen it say its campy as hell, but still a good watch!
