YMMV / Blossom

  • Ass Pull: The 13th episode, "Love Stinks!", revolves around Blossom suddenly having a boyfriend, Ricky, who comes home from college and breaks up with her because he met someone else. This is treated as a big deal, however, for the entirety of the first season, Blossom is shown dating several boys without one mention of Ricky. Blossom is also depicted as being completely inexperienced with boys and suddenly she has a much older boyfriend that we've never seen before. It's also hard to believe that Nick, who has been established as being overprotective of Blossom, would ever let someone as old as Ricky get near Blossom.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight:
    • Just the mere fact that the titular protagonist's name is "Blossom".
    • After the kids are being worn down by playing endless board games with Nick, Joey states he would rather shave his hair than keep going. In the 2000's, his actor Joey Lawrence rocked a cueball.
    • The Russo Brothers are named Anthony and Joe.
    • In one episode, a love interest for Blossom was played by Johnny Galecki a.k.a. Leonard Hofstadter.
    • In another one, a friend of Joey's was played by David DeLuise, who would later play the father to another Russo family.
    • The B-plot of the Season 5 episode "Who's Not on First" (in which Joey goes up against Blossom and Albert Einstein on Jeopardy!) could count with Mayim Bialik becoming part of the rotating series of guest hosts that have hosted the show following the death of Alex Trebek; with it being subsequently announced that while executive producer Mike Richards would be the new hostnote ; Bialik would get to host primetime specials and any Jeopardy spinoffsnote .
  • Retroactive Recognition:
  • Values Resonance: "38 Special" became more relavent in the wake of Columbine and other mass shootings.
