* AwesomeMusic: The whole soundtrack, really. To give some notable examples:
-->'''[=BattleTanx=]'''
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9_IEsYRdEM The main theme]].
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKAGrQ8MQoU "Ground Zero"]], which sounds like an industrial remix of ''Ride of the Valkyries''.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u67LZRISVxk "Armageddon Highway"]].
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sn9ey1p81Ik "Fremont Street"]], which tends to make players feel [[NothingCanStopUsNow invincible]].
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UY4Amk9k9OU "The Crimson Gate"]].
-->'''[=BattleTanx=]: Global Assault'''
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EiUlo2e0hjI Global Assault's main theme]].
** The [[{{Playstation}} PS1]] version of [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eX0NnMUTQ9w "San Francisco Airport"]]. The EtherealChoir is what sells it.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dO8DBr4YuUk "Arizona Truck Stop"]].
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNKwWVxTfik "Tower of London"]].
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPUCdXxgilw "Champs Elysees"]], a sad tune some fans have have come to associate with the death of 3DO.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTmKEiO58oU "Berlin War Zone"]].
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2c-K7dj8uE "Special Battle"]], a multiplayer-only track.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ln6OVQzYqh8 This nameless track]] ([[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H1mzjRT9dhI Playstation version here]]), which, sadly, [[CutSong didn't make it into the final game]].
* CultClassic: While not widely known outside the public eye, the series has a small but ''passionate'' following.
* GameBreaker: The Nuclear Knights in the first game's multiplayer mode. They use Goliaths exclusively, and each one of them has a nuke onboard.
** The Psycho Brigade and Iron Maidens spawn with DeflectorShields.
* MostWonderfulSound: [[NukeEm NUKE DEPLOYED.]] [[AC:*CLUNK* *CLUNK*]]
* ScrappyLevel: The [[EscortMission convoy missions]] in the second game, [[TheLoad for obvious reasons]].
* SuspiciouslySimilarSong: The music for the "Fremont Street" stage in the first game sounds similar to Music/{{ACDC}}'s "TNT".
* ThatOneLevel: The prison break level In the second game. Finding the prisoners is easy; getting to them is another story. The entire base is loaded with plenty of strategically planted, heavy hitting turrets that can take a licking and keep on kicking, and the thick barriers surrounding them means you usually have to put yourself right in their line of fire in order to shoot them. The m1 barely stands a chance against them, and they will mop the floor with the Mototank. Making matters worse is that this is a fairly early level in the game, so it can easily catch you off guard.
