YMMV: An Inconvenient Truth

- Complaining about Shows You Don't Watch: A lot of the people praising or condemning the film haven't seen it.
- Crowning Moment of Awesome: Depending on who you talk to. A large quantity of Democrats will say that this is a CMOA for Al Gore and the movement to combat climate change. On the other hand, it's a very risky subject to bring up around Republicans.
- Documentary Of Lies: Again, depending on whom you talk to, despite being sound science.
- Some of the documentaries "refuting" it have been called this by both sides, sometimes with misrepresentation and sometimes with blatant falsehoods.
- Nightmare Fuel: Some of the implications of global warming discussed in the film are legitimately frightening. The time lapse of worldwide flooding destroying coastal cities? The graph showing how much CO 2 below the line equalled "a mile of ice over our heads", and then how much above the line we are now, and the projected level getting higher and higher until it was over twice as high as the ice age level was low? The calm, simplistic way in which this is all presented makes it even more chilling than if they had made a high-budget dramatization and played melodramatic music.
