Magnificent Bastard: Alex is a selfish, materialistic, underhanded Jerkass, and makes no attempt to hide this, but he does it with a great deal of style and charisma.
Misaimed Fandom: The creators have had letters from people who chose to become bankers and stockbrokers because of the comic.
Villain Sue: Alex herself. She's human, has a sword and gun and nobody ever fights against her wishes. It really becomes glaring in the first chapter, where Finn doesn't even give a second thought about going against his own friend.
