YMMV / Adventures of the Little Koala

Go To

  • Germans Love David Hasselhoff:
    • While popular in Japan, the show was very popular when exported to Europe and North America. In fact, it was one of the more fondly remembered shows airing on Nickelodeon in the late 1980s/early 1990s.
    • As stated on the main page, this show came about because of a koala craze in Japan.
  • Narm: The ending of the episode about Mommy's birthday. She opens her gifts (a hat, an apron, and a framed photograph of herself) and thanks everyone. Then she puts on the hat, picks up the apron and the photo, and proceeds to twirl around the room with them in her arms, singing to herself while everyone watches. This doesn't seem to strike anyone as an unusual reaction to the gifts, either.
  • Nightmare Fuel: "Is Weather a Frog?" Some of the content of this episode makes one surprised the episode wasn't censored in America, in particular the magician's disembodied laughter, not to mention the Wicked Wizard's TV show, which includes a close-up of the Wicked Wizard's brew which seems to include a dissolving skull. The kids even remark they don't know why they watch the show in the first place since it scares them so.
  • The Woobie: Pamie Penguin, namely in "Pamie Falls in Love", and Mingle, especially in "Is Mingle A Nuisance?" and "A Broken Umbrella".
