• The Woobie: Ursula of Portugal. Unmarried daughter of the King of Portugal, she was a naive non-entity until she was suddenly installed on the throne of Spain and thrust into an unwanted marriage with Henri of Navarre. Her country was in shambles from the war with France, and with the loss of their colonies, the economy nosedived. Her Italian possessions revolted and her Spanish subjects hated her for things that weren't even her fault. After just 9 years on the throne, she was assassinated.
