World Building: Tree Of Possibilities
This page shall be a log for the many worlds created by this forum game.

Rules

In infinity, anything is possible. We're going to make Another Dimension - actually, a lot of them.

The bulk of this game will take place in private messages. If you would like to participate, please announce this at the top of your post! (Some people may just want to make witty commentary.)

Each message will use the title "Tree of Possibilities", and contain a brief description of another world. (From an omniscient creator perspective. This is NOT for roleplaying hapless explorers.)

When you receive a message,
  • Read through the description that currently exists.
  • Add another sentence.
  • Send the entire description to two other players.
  • When the description gets at least five sentences long, name the world and post it!
  • If you post the fifth world, start a new description and send it to two other people! (Or let someone else do it if you don't have any ideas, that works too.)

16 people would like to receive messages:*

The world is lit by two suns - one black, and one white.
  • FIRSTLAND - The world is lit by two suns - one black, and one white. Massive forests cover it. In fact, forests take up %80 of the land or %50 of the entire world. Giant stone monuments made by an ancient civilization are in the forests. These monuments are guarded by genetically engineered beasts created by the civilisation for that purpose, now having long outlived their creators. However, a few of these guardians have decided this is boring and started up 3 rival basketball teams.
  • Edict - The world is lit by two suns - one black, and one white. Massive forests cover it. There are four massive natural pyramids spaced at equidistant points around the equator, and there is another pyramid at each pole. Inside each pyramid is a beacon transmitting a message to a distant part of the galaxy, although the purpose of these transmissions are unknown. The beacons are powered by geothermal generators, but in the absence of their original creators they are slowly losing power as the mantle cools.
  • Zeal - The world is lit by two suns - one black, and one white. Massive forests cover it. In fact, forests take up 80% of the land or 50% of the entire world. In the ocean lives a race of intelligent sharks, which have established civilisations. They power their cities by using a rare, radioactive rock that's found in the deepest parts of the ocean. What they don't know is that this rock is intelligent, and has been silently manipulating their evolution for longer than they've had awareness.
  • Marsh - The world is lit by two suns - one black, and one white. Massive forests cover it. In fact, forests take up %80 of the land or %50 of the entire world. Intelligent life exists only in the oceans, with occasional forays into the hungry forests for rare resources. The beaches are the home of monstrous predatory reptiles.
  • Unimaginatively Named World -The world is lit by two suns - one black, and one white. Massive forests cover it. In fact, forests take up %80 of the land or %50 of the entire world. Intelligent life exists only in the oceans, with occasional forays into the hungry forests for rare resources. But because of the nameless, mindless horrors that inhabited the forest, few of those sent made it back alive and sane.
  • Toxin - The world is lit by two suns - one black, and one white. Massive forests cover it - in fact, forests take up 80% of the land or 50% of the entire world. Giant stone monuments made by an ancient civilization are in the forests. The civilization itself, however, has migrated underground to avoid being poisoned by the excess oxygen that accumulated as the forests spread. The people are called mentorians, and they usually live 150 years. They must use advanced filtration plants to get rid of the poison in the water.
  • Spring - The world is lit by two suns - one black, and one white. Massive forests cover it - in fact, forests take up 80% of the land or 50% of the entire world. In the ocean lives a race of intelligent sharks, which have established civilisations. The ecosystem on land, meanwhile, is dominated by a clade of vertebrates that are as diverse in form as birds and reproduce by mitosis. While not intelligent, their undirected behaviors do result in forming some incredibly intricate tree structures. These structures are used as homes by the tree-dwelling reptiles and mammals of the world.
  • Sharkle - The world is lit by two suns - one black, and one white. Most of these creatures are omnivores, but one island houses a group carnivorous and (the only) intelligent birds, currently entering the dark ages.
  • Chromacia - The world is lit by two suns - one black, and one white. Massive forests cover it. The forests' trees come in two colors, one to photosynthesize the black and one to photosynthesize the white. Because of the changing distances of both stars relative to the planet, the black sun's trees are often in "autumn" while the white trees are in "spring", or vice versa. Living creatures are almost unanimously covered with either thick fur or thick plating to protect against the different kinds of radiation from each sun.
  • Dichromia - The world is lit by two suns - one black, and one white. Massive forests cover it. The forests' trees come in two colors, one to photosynthesize the black and one to photosynthesize the white. Because of the changing distances of both stars relative to the planet, the black sun's trees are often in "autumn" while the white trees are in "spring", or vice versa. This has caused two vastly different and distinct ecosystems to develop on the planet.
  • Polaris -The world is lit by two suns - one black, and one white. Massive forests cover it. There are four massive natural pyramids spaced at equidistant points around the equator, and there is another pyramid at each pole. The pyramids are the bases of massive towers of light, drawing power from the world and firing it farther than the eye can know for reasons unknown. When these beams chance to be directed into the black sun, the white sun glows proportionally brighter, and vice versa.
  • Gzhdnk - The world is lit by two suns - one black, and one white. As a result, they have lost the power of sight, and rely mostly on smell to find their way around.

The entire world is a scorching desert
  • Constellation - The entire world is a scorching desert. Water is an extremely scarce resource, existing only in small oases near the planet's poles. There exists barely ANY life on the planet, except for a few cacti. However, the inside of the planet is hollow, and bacteria feasting of the warmth leaked from the surface provide light. Strange cnidarian creatures float through the void in the world, barely metabolizing the few bacteria they need to survive.
  • Auscultation - The entire world is a scorching desert. There is no life, but the sand in the wind plays songs. The density of the sound refracts the light, creating majestic arcs of color in the sky. Occasionally, these arcs collide, producing beacons of blinding white light that linger in the sky for a short while before dissipating. At night, the temperature drops to almost absolute zero.
  • Ruin - The entire world is a scorching desert. There is no life, but the sand in the wind plays songs. The density of the sound refracts the light, creating majestic arcs of color in the sky. In the north pole a massive system of tunnels runs for hundreds of miles. However, due to the heavy weight of music, color, and sun, it will collapse and destroy all the mysterious paintings and sculptures in the tunnels. Millenia later, passing explorers will create a religion based on the chaotic remnants.
  • Hivebent - The entire world is a scorching desert. Water is an extremely scarce resource, existing only in small oases near the planet's poles. There exists barely ANY life on the planet, except for a few cacti. However, the inside of the planet is hollow, and bacteria feasting of the warmth leaked from the surface provide light. These bacteria are cultivated by a group of insects with a hive mind. Little does it know that the bacteria are growing more intelligent themselves...
  • Jakol - The entire world is a scorching desert. But at daytime, there's an average of 124 F.
  • Oasis - The entire world is a scorching desert. Water is an extremely scarce resource, existing only in small oases near the planet's poles. The small size of the oases leads to scarce vegetation, producing oversized fruits. On the other hand, the nearness of the sun and the strength of the magnetic field also mean that the sky over the poles is always lit by a handful of auroras. These auroras can be seen from space, and even at certain parts and times of a nearby planet.
  • Vespiary - The entire world is a scorching desert.
  • Kehto - The entire world is a scorching desert. Water is an extremely scarce resource, existing only in small oases near the planet's poles. There exists barely ANY life on the planet, except for a few cacti. Intelligent species live only at one pole - north, magnetically - and are unaware that anything exists outside the oasis, let alone that the world is round. Yet somehow, wrecks lie in the south desert on the edge of their knowledge. The wrecks look modern, but the northern civilization is in suspended stone age, so they likely tried to escape an awesome terrorism attack with no tech.
  • Polaris - The entire world is a scorching desert.
  • Omega - The entire world is a scorching desert. These auroras are used by fungi that possess primitive eyes to regulate their growth cycles.
  • fhaGGgsw - The entire world is a scorching desert. Water is an extremely scarce resource, existing only in small oases near the planet's poles. There exists barely ANY life on the planet, except for a few cacti. Intelligent species live only at one pole - north, magnetically - and are unaware that anything exists outside the oasis, let alone that the world is round. They are the fifth civilisation to have arisen in this oasis.
  • Sandrak - The entire world is a scorching desert. There is no life, but the sand in the wind plays songs. The density of the sound refracts the light, creating majestic arcs of color in the sky. Occasionally, these arcs collide, producing beacons of blinding white light that linger in the sky for a short while before dissipating. Once in a while, they appear to do so with purpose.

In a universe governed by four-dimensional geometry, the gods have died.
  • Maurits - In a universe governed by four-dimensional geometry, the gods have died. Taking their place are crystals sentient from their exposure to the entirety of time. There are around 50 crystals in this specific planets, each with their own topic of controlling. The crystals are housed in great halls by the creatures limited to 3-dimensional perception, and are both worshiped and consulted for guidance of civilization. The crystals and the creatures, which resemble insects, have a complex, mutual symbiotic relationship, and neither can live without the other.
  • Makkah - In a universe governed by four-dimensional geometry, the gods have died. Taking their place are crystals sentient from their exposure to the entirety of time. There are around 50 crystals in this specific planets, each with their own sphere of influence. The crystals are enzymatic and cause physical reactions within whatever touches them. To be so changed is considered a great blessing by many of the galaxy's religions, who worship nothingness in the absence of the gods, and hundreds of thousands of pilgrims from many different planets visit every year.
  • Luminous - In a universe governed by four-dimensional geometry, the gods have died. However, these crystals have slowly been losing their power and intelligence
  • Cascade - In a universe governed by four-dimensional geometry, the gods have died. Taking their place are crystals sentient from their exposure to the entirety of time. There are around 50 crystals in this specific planets, each with their own topic of controlling. The crystals are enzymatic and cause physical reactions within whatever touches them. These can range from melting, to freezing solid, to atoms splitting
  • The Last Work - In a universe governed by four-dimensional geometry, the gods have died. With no gods to stop it, the raw chaos of the universe has destroyed many planets with intelligent life. The last inhabited world is just beyond the event horizon of a singularity, orbiting it. Most of this planet's civilization is doomsayers, but some are fruitlessly trying to find a way to get away from this singularity. Those few who have hope look to the last work of the gods, a massive continent spanning machine, for salvation.
  • Felmaros - In a universe governed by four-dimensional geometry, the gods have died. With no gods to stop it, the raw chaos of the universe has destroyed many planets with intelligent life. Yet from this chaos, new planets and forms of life have begun to arise. Among these planets is a gathering of massive rocks in orbit around a gas giant. The inhabitants, only just achieving sapience, are the last chance of salvation for this universe, as their worship creates a new pantheon set to fight the chaos.
  • Unnamed - In a universe governed by four-dimensional geometry, the gods have died. The second faction is further divided into two sub-factions, one who believes that by studying the chaos they can find a way to prevent its harmful effects or perhaps even harness its power to their own ends, and a second who believes that they can survive by harnessing an ancient power that was called 'magic.'
  • Olympus - In a universe governed by four-dimensional geometry, the gods have died. With no gods to stop it, the raw chaos of the universe has destroyed many planets with intelligent life. Yet from this chaos, new planets and forms of life have begun to arise. Among these planets is a gathering of massive rocks in orbit around a gas giant. Strange, almost ethereal life forms survive in the rocks, passive and drifting in the gathering. These ethereal beings are formed from the corpses of the gods, and after experiencing all of time will become the gods reborn.
  • Liner - In a universe governed by four-dimensional geometry, the gods have died. Taking their place are crystals sentient from their exposure to the entirety of time. In the far future they see a terrible war coming, but being crystals they are powerless to warn anyone or stop it. Multi-faceted beings who lurk in the dimension harvest the crystals for sustenance or to power unknowable machinery for bizarre purposes. The crystals also help keep the planetary system in a straight line due to magical properties.
  • Zyxwuvtsromligfedca - In a universe governed by four-dimensional geometry, the gods have died.
  • Lovecraft - In a universe governed by four-dimensional geometry, the gods have died. With no gods to stop it, the raw chaos of the universe has destroyed many planets with intelligent life. The last inhabited world is just beyond the event horizon of a singularity, orbiting it. Its inhabitants live underground and do not know of the universe outside their planet. However, there are rumors of a cavern above their world so massive that you can't see the ceiling.
  • Mothar Len - In a universe governed by four-dimensional geometry, the gods have died. With no gods to stop it, the raw chaos of the universe has destroyed many planets with intelligent life. The last inhabited world is just beyond the event horizon of a singularity, orbiting it. Its inhabitants live underground and do not know of the universe outside their planet. They have evolved to their bleak landscape and are now blind.
  • Fractal - In a universe governed by four-dimensional geometry, the gods have died. With no gods to stop it, the raw chaos of the universe has destroyed many planets with intelligent life. Yet from this chaos, new planets and forms of life have begun to arise. One of these planets has a surface covered completely by water. Floating beneath the surface are the great cities of a highly fractured race.
  • Sounds Like Jaws - In a universe governed by four-dimensional geometry, the gods have died. With no gods to stop it, the raw chaos of the universe has destroyed many planets with intelligent life. Yet from this chaos, new planets and forms of life have begun to arise. One of these planets has a surface covered completely by water. Brutal killing machines fight one another for the top spot in the food chain, ranging from the massive to the minute.
  • Teapot - In a universe governed by four-dimensional geometry, the gods have died. With no gods to stop it, the raw chaos of the universe has destroyed many planets with intelligent life. Yet from this chaos, new planets and forms of life have begun to arise. One of these planets has a surface covered completely by water. Floating beneath the surface are the great cities of a highly fractured race. Each city is independently governed and supported, and the chief culture in each has determined a different list of "natural rights" - none of which are the same, and despite their own satisfaction each imagines the other governments to be exclusively tyrannical oppressors.
  • Quadilin - In a universe governed by four-dimensional geometry, the gods have died. No two machines that they create are the same, each having their own unique appearances and outputs.

The planet is covered almost completely by water.
  • Zephyrus - The planet is covered almost completely by water. It's nearly sterile; life is in the skies. The creatures in the sky have a disproportionate amount of iron in their system, and thus glide effortlessly with the guidance of the planet's magnetic field. The magnetic field is unusually strong due to the planet's large molten metal core, and an aurora-like effect can be seen from almost anywhere on the planet during the right season. The aurora gives the creatures strange, seemingly supernatural powers, that they are not (yet?) capable of understanding.
  • Ferrus - The planet is covered almost completely by water. It's nearly sterile; life is in the skies. The creatures in the sky have a disproportionate amount of iron in their system, and thus glide effortlessly with the guidance of the planet's magnetic field. The iron in their originates in one of the few water organisms, towers of single cell organisms that gather it in shallows. They accrue the iron to use collectively as a skeleton for the tower, raising most of them out of reach of hungry amphibians and exposing them to clearer sunlight for photosynthesis.
  • Stagnant - The planet is covered almost completely by water. It's nearly sterile from lack of oxygen; life is in the skies. Ship-sized water lilies float on the sea, collecting water and air simultaneously and providing an roost for all sorts of flyers in exchange for fertilizer.
  • Gemesia - The planet is covered almost completely by water. It's nearly sterile; life is in the skies. The flying creatures rest in great floating rocks that litter the air. The larger rocks are covered in forestry. The biggest of these rocks have attracted satellites, and act as miniature planets.
  • Unnamed - The planet is covered almost completely by water. It's nearly sterile; life is in the skies. The flying creatures rest in great floating rocks that litter the air. The larger rocks are covered in forestry. The rocks are held aloft by the plant life that lives on their undersides, which resemble seaweed and produce gigantic gas-filled bladders.
  • Ferropia - The planet is covered almost completely by water. It's nearly sterile; life is in the skies. The creatures in the sky have a disproportionate amount of iron in their system, and thus glide effortlessly with the guidance of the planet's magnetic field. The iron in their body originates in one of the few water organisms, towers of single cell organisms that gather it in shallows. However, increasing amounts of oxygen in the air threaten the organisms' survival by making the iron rust, and hence making it unusable.

The world stretches away in every direction to the horizon, curving smoothly away from an infinitely high spire in the center of the world.
  • Unnamed - The world stretches away in every direction to the horizon, curving smoothly away from an infinitely high spire in the center of the world. It is an artificial world that was created by an ancient race of dimensional travelers, and the artificial lifeforms that maintain it live on the central spire, descending when the unnatural physical laws that sustain it begin to unravel. This happens every 100, 000 earth years, and causes electrical storms across the entire planet. The lifeforms that fail to descend in time cease to function, dropping from the tower to litter the ground below for miles. A race of six-legged doglike scavengers that live below use these empty husks to build their dens.
  • Yticirtcele - The world stretches away in every direction to the horizon, curving smoothly away from an infinitely high spire in the center of the world. These electrical storms aren't normal, as the electricity is attracted to red items and is green itself. This event is looked forward to and celebrated, as it gives the artificial lifeforms a sense of purpose.
  • Mechanasia - The world stretches away in every direction to the horizon, curving smoothly away from an infinitely high spire in the center of the world. These electrical storms aren't normal, as the electricity is attracted to red items and is green itself. This lightning was engineered as part of the world, and is used to program the next set of coordinates that the planet will venture to, as part of a remote controlled exploration of this universe by the original dimension travelers.
  • Oscillation - The world stretches away in every direction to the horizon, curving smoothly away from an infinitely high spire in the center of the world. The artificial lifeforms are otherwise immortal, and they believe that the spirits of their dead fellows ascend the spirit-spire which descends into the physical world only on these occasions.
  • Alter - The world stretches away in every direction to the horizon, curving smoothly away from an infinitely high spire in the center of the world. Most intelligent life on the world lives near the spire, but every so often groups of explorers go searching for the edge of the world. The further one gets from the central needle, however, the emptier the world gets - larger and more barren continents on windless and silent oceans. The needle never leaves sight, and returning to the needle doesn't take nearly as long as was spent traveling away from it. It is said that the land beyond the needle lies between dimensions
  • Ryleigha - The world stretches away in every direction to the horizon, curving smoothly away from an infinitely high spire in the center of the world. Most intelligent life on the world lives near the spire, but every so often groups of explorers go searching for the edge of the world. The further one gets from the central needle, however, the emptier the world gets - larger and more barren continents on windless and silent oceans. Deep in the ocean trenches, strange massive creatures have grown. These creatures frequently flail, causing massive earthquakes and fissures, but never damaging the tower.
  • Spira Tirelon - The world stretches away in every direction to the horizon, curving smoothly away from an infinitely high spire in the center of the world. There is a philosophical schism between those who believe that if you travel far enough you will be able to see the spire on both sides of the horizon, and those who believe that if you travel too far from the spire, you are lost forever in Outer Darkness.
  • The Endless Lands - The world stretches away in every direction to the horizon, curving smoothly away from an infinitely high spire in the center of the world. And it is rumored that they, in their wide-ranging migrations, have found the edge...or at least, something equally momentous.
  • Unnamed - The world stretches away in every direction to the horizon, curving smoothly away from an infinitely high spire in the center of the world. Most intelligent life on the world lives near the spire, but every so often groups of explorers go searching for the edge of the world. Those that go never come back, yet also never die. New, rudimentary colonies from these pioneers have sprung up, tucked away in worlds with strange properties. For the world's edge is connected to every other inhabitable planet in the universe, and those who go searching for it usually end up on another world entirely.
Although they are now not considered as intelligent by those who live near the center, their survival skills have gotten to points thought impossible.

This world is toroid in shape.
  • Ion - This world is toroid in shape. Its sun orbits it in a figure-eight pattern that passes through the hole in the middle. Irregularities of the orbit cause gravitational distortions that drive the world's molten iron core around the torus, acting as a solenoid coil and creating an exceptionally strong magnetic field. This field is exploited by intelligent species from nearby other planets to power their machinery, and it's a widely contested area. The native species have been worked to near extinction by those who wish to harness the planet for energy.
  • Hephaestus - This world is toroid in shape. Its sun orbits it in a figure-eight pattern that passes through the hole in the middle. Irregularities of the orbit cause gravitational distortions that drive the world's molten iron core around the torus, acting as a solenoid coil and creating an exceptionally strong magnetic field. The planet itself, covered in liquid metal, is too hot for any life to form, but creatures made of electromagnetic energy live in the atmosphere above, thriving off the strong magnetic field. Due to the lofting of the liquid metal, the electric field of the planet flares out at random, killing of the creatures, and forcing rapid evolution through "survival of the fittest".
  • Spicy Donut - This world is toroid in shape. These creatures cannot draw a distinction between self and other. However, they CAN (all of them) theoretically cook up a mean cheese pizza.
  • Magnetom - This world is toroid in shape. These creatures cannot draw a distinction between self and other.
  • 7D - This world is toroid in shape. The primitive lifeforms that live on this planet are unaware of what is going on in the skies above; they believe that the occasional ship that falls to the surface is a god's chariot, and is evidence of war in Heaven.
  • Sandaxia - This world is toroid in shape. Its sun orbits it in a figure-eight pattern that passes through the hole in the middle. Inside the ring live a species of intelligent crosses between bunnies and cats. They crust of the world is filled with the wiring of a giant computer. This computer existed before the Bunny-cat creatures, and is a staple part of their understanding of the universe.
  • Bob - This world is toroid in shape. Its sun orbits it in a figure-eight pattern that passes through the hole in the middle. Inside the ring live a species of intelligent crosses between bunnies and cats. They crust of the world is filled with the wiring of a giant computer. The computer was originally built by the bunny-cats, but they have forgotten this, and now worship it as a god.

The world rockets through space, ripped free from its sun.
  • Parasurn - The world rockets through space, ripped free from its sun. And this is meant literally - it's propelled by more than unjudging gravity. The world has been partially absorbed by an eldritch creature of demi-god proportions, and is being dragged from galaxy to galaxy as part of the creatures plating. In the parts that are not absorbed by the Eldritch Abomination lives a sturdy termite like lifeform that can survive the harsh conditions of the planet in secreted hives of their own creation. The secretions by the termite beings preserve the absorbed planet's atmosphere, and sustain conditions for life on the planet.
  • Temocia - The world rockets through space, ripped free from its sun. And this is meant literally - it's propelled by more than unjudging gravity. The world has been partially absorbed by an eldritch creature of demi-god proportions, and is being dragged from galaxy to galaxy as part of the creature's plating. In the parts that are not absorbed by the Eldritch Abomination lives a sturdy termite like lifeform that can survive the harsh conditions of the planet in secreted hives of their own creation. Those beings that have seen the world transit their suns, catastrophically disrupt their tides and solar winds, have it enter their mythologies as the source of evil that they believe, rightly or wrongly, will sometime return. And if they do, a piece of the world will be thrown off.

  • The Wanderer - The world rockets through space, ripped free from its sun. And this is meant literally - it's propelled by more than unjudging gravity. The planet is actually a gigantic living creature, whose breath propels it and whose internal heat warms the creatures living in and on it in the absence of a sun. The creature "feeds" of of cosmic radiation in a way, absorbing it through its skin. It is the last of its kind, the rest having flown into burning stars or become trapped in black holes.
  • Mr. W - The world rockets through space, ripped free from its sun. And this is meant literally - it's propelled by more than unjudging gravity. The planet is actually a gigantic living creature, whose breath propels it and whose internal heat warms the creatures living in and on it in the absence of a sun. The inhabitants are aware of their world's nature and worship it, except for a small but growing group of dissidents. This group wishes to rule this world, bringing their prejudice about the other creatures.
  • Lavos - The world rockets through space, ripped free from its sun. The life on and within the creature doesn't know of their 'lord'.
  • Matrice - The world rockets through space, ripped free from its sun. It has cooled down in the absence of its sun. The aliens there have formed an economy based on trading meager heat from geothermal activity - and life. This trade in life has recently extended to other sapients. This activity has lead to giant warehouses, filled with shelves, each lined with pods containing the beings having their heat being harvested.
  • Unnamed - The world rockets through space, ripped free from its sun. It has cooled down in the absence of its sun. The only remaining life is found underground, close to the planet's core. These creatures have adapted to convection and lava and now drink lava as you or me would drink water. A space station orbits the world, tugged along by its gravity.
  • MANHATTAN PROJECT - The world rockets through space, ripped free from its sun. It has cooled down in the absence of its sun. The aliens there have formed an economy based on trading meager heat from geothermal activity - and life. The recent invention of nuclear energy threatens to disrupt this economy. The inhabitants are hoping to fix this by making a treating banning the use of nuclear energy.

The aliens there have formed an economy based on trading meager heat from geothermal activity - and life. The recent invention of nuclear energy threatens to disrupt this economy. A group that believes that nuclear energy will create a utopia has emerged and is trying to develop and spread the technology at all costs.
  • Ipotsrevia - The world rockets through space, ripped free from its sun. It has cooled down in the absence of its sun. The aliens there have formed an economy based on trading meager heat from geothermal activity - and life. This trade in life has recently extended to other sapients. This is very contentious, and has sparked a war between factions who approve and disapprove of it.
  • Homeworld, Oh Wait, That's Copyrighted - The world rockets through space, ripped free from its sun. It has cooled down in the absence of its sun. The only remaining life is found underground, close to the planet's core. However, an alien civilization has recently discovered this world, and set up archaeological and mining expeditions on the surface. When the former residents of the planet send a research probe back to its old homeworld, tensions arise...
  • The Dig - The world rockets through space, ripped free from its sun. It has cooled down in the absence of its sun. The only remaining life is found underground, close to the planet's core. However, an alien civilization has recently discovered this world, and set up archaeological and mining expeditions on the surface. They hope to find helium-3; poor them.
  • Qor - The world rockets through space, ripped free from its sun. It has cooled down in the absence of its sun. The only remaining life is found underground, close to the planet's core. These creatures have adapted to convection and lava and now drink lava as you or me would drink water. They live in solid rock, and have armor made of diamond to protect them from the pressure and to cut through the rock.
  • Acheron - The world rockets through space, ripped free from its sun. And this is meant literally - it's propelled by more than unjudging gravity. The world has been partially absorbed by an eldritch creature of demi-god proportions, and is being dragged from galaxy to galaxy as part of the creature's plating. In the parts that are not absorbed by the Eldritch Abomination lives a sturdy termite-like lifeform that can survive the harsh conditions of the planet in secreted hives of their own creation. While most of the abomination exists in unfathomable dimensions, this has left a considerable amount of the surface untouched - though the oceans are slowly filling with ichor, volcanic activity enfogs the air with pus, and what remains of the ecosystem is slowly being xenoformed.
  • Kujata - The world rockets through space, ripped free from its sun. The planet consumes nebular gases in order to survive - gases which affect the upper atmosphere as they are ingested and prevent the civilization from developing past steel-age technology. If the people are to survive in the long run, it is argued, they must spread to other worlds - and to do this will require killing their god.
  • Going Native - This world's atmosphere is comprised mostly of chlorine and ammonia gas. The land is marshy and almost uninhabitable. The planet's only significant inhabitants are miners from colonial settlements throughout the galaxy who wear special suits which protect users from the planet's atmosphere while they work to strip the planet of a precious resource found only on this particular planet. Retrieving the deposits is very hazardous, so the planet is used as a penal colony / labor camp, and convicts who have been sentenced to death or imprisoned for life are made to work. An unfortunate "minor" consequence is that some of them go crazy and wander of into the marshes, somehow surviving long enough to harass the camps.

This world is half barren, half lush, almost evenly divided along a specific longitudinal arc.
  • Truxia - This world is half barren, half lush, almost evenly divided along a specific longitudinal arc. Each side is home to a kingdom, and each kingdom is ruled by one of two twin brothers. One hemisphere of the planet always faces towards the sun, and one always faces away, causing perpetual day on one side and perpetual night on the other, resulting in the division between the fertile and almost lifeless halves of the planet. Trade between the two hemispheres was recently interrupted by a disaster on the one safe trade route. The twin kings have declared war on each other, with each side fighting and losing with techniques honed in their home territory.
  • Eclisor - This world is half barren, half lush, almost evenly divided along a specific longitudinal arc. The lifeless half, however, is littered with great machines and ruined cities, the remnants of a long dead people. Oddly enough, the level of technology mirrors of the extinct people mirror that of the side in constant day.
  • Unnamed - This world is half barren, half lush, almost evenly divided along a specific longitudinal arc. A deep canyon divides the two sides, crossed by thousands of bridges all around the world. Exploration has found that there is no bottom to the canyon. Because the crystals that line the canyon are extremely useful in construction, dangerous mining operations have been set up on the walls of the cliffs. This mining is slowly making the planet crumble to pieces.
  • Sorry For Being Nitpicky But That Would Probably Actually Be Latitudinal- This world is half barren, half lush, almost evenly divided along a specific longitudinal arc. Communications between the kingdoms were completely disrupted, and the separate teams working to clear the path inadvertently worsened the problem because of this.
  • Rio Del Vidrio - This world is half barren, half lush, almost evenly divided along a specific longitudinal arc. A deep canyon divides the two sides, crossed by thousands of bridges all around the world. Within the canyon lies a clear as glass river, overflowing with alien wildlife. The plants and animals of this river form the basis for all aspects of society across the world, including food, cultural referents, and currency made from the rarer animals. Were any one group able to control the river altogether, it would give them effective control over the whole world.
  • Unnamed - This world is half barren, half lush, almost evenly divided along a specific longitudinal arc. A deep canyon divides the two sides, crossed by thousands of bridges all around the world. Within the canyon lies a clear as glass river, overflowing with alien wildlife. A city hundreds of miles long runs along the river, which provides ample resources to its citizens. Away from the canyon, the environment quickly becomes much harsher, with one hemisphere completely covered by a dangerous jungle filled with deadly plants and animals, and the other side a scorched, irradiated wasteland where only the most tenacious microscopic lifeforms can survive unaided.
  • Wetharia - This world is half barren, half lush, almost evenly divided along a specific longitudinal arc. The lifeless half, however, is littered with great machines and ruined cities, the remnants of a long dead people. A mysterious untouched rotation machine rests in the center of the core at 70 degrees fahrenheit somehow.
  • The Gap - This world is half barren, half lush, almost evenly divided along a specific longitudinal arc. A deep canyon divides the two sides, crossed by thousands of bridges all around the world. Exploration has found that there is no bottom to the canyon. Because the crystals that line the canyon are extremely useful in construction, dangerous mining operations have been set up on the walls of the cliffs. Some caves have recently be found around 5 miles below the surface (These people are great builders) and have been reported as having creatures made of pure tropes in them.
  • Bulbion - This world is half barren, half lush, almost evenly divided along a specific longitudinal arc. Each side is home to a kingdom, and each kingdom is ruled by one of two twin brothers. The barren kingdom trades precious metals, stone, and glass-quality sand with the lush kingdom in exchange for food. Once, both halves were equally lush, but a horrific disaster in the distant past scorched half the world's surface irreversibly. This also causes the wildlife smaller than a laptop that enter the barren hemisphere to turn into lightbulbs, relating to the "horrific disaster" (which will forever be a Noodle Incident).
  • Unnamed - This world is half barren, half lush, almost evenly divided along a specific longitudinal arc. The population of the barren kingdom has been steadily declining due to emigration since the accident.
  • Aneurysm - This world is half barren, half lush, almost evenly divided along a specific longitudinal arc. A deep canyon divides the two sides, crossed by thousands of bridges all around the world. Exploration has found that there is no bottom to the canyon. Rather, the entire world is divided in two, its sides held apart by forces not understood even by its very advanced civilization. These forces also prevent all technology from working within 100 miles of the canyon, and those who go near it soon start to suffer from severe brain damage.
  • Oraes - This world is half barren, half lush, almost evenly divided along a specific longitudinal arc. A deep canyon divides the two sides, crossed by thousands of bridges all around the world. Exploration has found that there is no bottom to the canyon. Rather, the entire world is divided in two, its sides held apart by forces not understood even by its very advanced civilization. They have begun a great drilling project into the sides in their attempt to decipher the secret.
  • Unnamed - This world is half barren, half lush, almost evenly divided along a specific longitudinal arc. Each side is home to a kingdom, and each kingdom is ruled by one of two twin brothers. The barren kingdom trades precious metals, stone, and glass-quality sand with the lush kingdom in exchange for food. Because of the importance of trade to the planet's economy, most of the cities are located near the border. The border itself is considered neutral territory, and no weapons are allowed into the countless markets that fill the bridges there. The people of this planet consider trading a spectator sport, and millions of people watch live broadcasts from the markets every day.
  • Bastion - This world is half barren, half lush, almost evenly divided along a specific longitudinal arc. A deep canyon divides the two sides, crossed by thousands of bridges all around the world. Within the canyon lies a clear as glass river, overflowing with alien wildlife. A city hundreds of miles long runs along the river, which provides ample resources to its citizens. Outside the city are large barbarian hordes who strive to conquer it.
  • Dichroma - This world is half barren, half lush, almost evenly divided along a specific longitudinal arc. The Lush kingdom have recently managed to grasp the concepts of artificial Bio-engineering, a path which may upset the delicate balance between the two kingdoms that have settled on the planet.

The entire world is actually a massive sphere of prokaryotic monocellular organisms, 6800km in diameter.
  • Grag - The entire world is actually a massive sphere of prokaryotic monocellular organisms, 6800km in diameter. These organisms change color depending on how much sunlight is available, meaning the planet has four distinct areas: Winter night, winter day, summer night, and summer day. Inside each of these areas has evolved vastly different forms of life, with all of them unable to survive for very long in the other areas. As a result, intelligent creatures use mechanical beings for trade and war. The most frequent natural hazard is the deathworms, burrowing serpents that live in the temperate zones between regions; they feed primarily on the bacteria that make up the planet, but they also feed on the higher organisms when given the opportunity.
  • Unnamed - This world is half barren, half lush, almost evenly divided along a specific longitudinal arc. A deep canyon divides the two sides, crossed by thousands of bridges all around the world. Within the canyon lies a clear as glass river, overflowing with alien wildlife. The plants and animals of this river form the basis for all aspects of society across the world, including food, cultural referents, and currency made from the rarer animals. Hundreds of different nomadic tribes live in the world's barren half, but the plants of the lush forests, jungles, and marshes that cover the other half produce a gas that is toxic to the planet's dominant intelligent species.
  • Breathing Void - The entire world is actually a massive sphere of prokaryotic monocellular microorganisms, 6800km in diameter. It floats inside an asteroid belt, with asteroids constantly colliding with it. The microorganisms cling to the asteroids on contact, and begin to reproduce, slowly turning the asteroid into a similar planet. Some of these organisms have gathered together in great intelligent creatures, who attempt to use the asteroids to spread. However, they're too stuck in internal warfare to get far.
  • Reach - The entire world is actually a massive sphere of prokaryotic monocellular microorganisms, 6800km in diameter. These intelligent creatures soon made a new civilization, using the new planet's resources to make their new empire. The creatures evolved a shared consciousness to support their interplanetary networking.
  • Unnamed - The entire world is actually a massive sphere of prokaryotic monocellular microorganisms, 6800km in diameter. It floats inside an asteroid belt, with asteroids constantly colliding with it. The microorganisms feed off the copious iron. More organisms from the asteroids join the group, slowly growing bigger. Because of the constant bombardment by meteors, no living things larger than a single cell live here.
  • Organic Grey Goo Planet - The entire world is actually a massive sphere of prokaryotic monocellular microorganisms, 6800km in diameter. It floats inside an asteroid belt, with asteroids constantly colliding with it. The microorganisms feed off the copious iron. More organisms from the asteroids join the group, slowly growing bigger. As the planet grows, its gravity draws in more asteroids with which it feeds.
  • Kevin - The entire world is actually a massive sphere of prokaryotic monocellular organisms, 6800km in diameter. These organisms change color depending on how much sunlight is available, meaning the planet has four distinct areas: Winter night, winter day, summer night, and summer day. Winged multicellular organisms fly over the world, always remaining on summer night. Almost all non-plant life on the planet, in fact, is nomadic, and travels around the entire planet once every day. The single-celled organisms are lose as air in some places, and hard as rock in other places, creating a sort of system of floating islands.
  • To The Strongest - The entire world is actually a massive sphere of prokaryotic monocellular organisms, 6800km in diameter. They consider the microorganisms to be a god, and try to expand their habitat's extent.
  • Spacewar - The entire world is actually a massive sphere of prokaryotic monocellular microorganisms, 6800km in diameter. It floats inside an asteroid belt, with asteroids constantly colliding with it. The microorganisms cling to the asteroids on contact, and begin to reproduce, slowly turning the asteroid into a similar planet. The most "advanced" of these asteroids are ruled by beings no bigger than a child's fist, no more intelligent than an ant. Their cruel rule is only opposed by slow-thinking and slow-moving but huge juggernauts.
  • Herasne - The entire world is actually a massive sphere of prokaryotic monocellular organisms, 6800km in diameter. These organisms change color depending on how much sunlight is available, meaning the planet has four distinct areas: Winter night, winter day, summer night, and summer day. Winged multicellular organisms fly over the world, always remaining on summer day. A few small asteroids orbit around *them* in different ways, a notable one being Herasne which is the biggest and is shaped like a tin can. Every few hundred years, Herasne glows with a brightness rivaling that of the sun, which throws the planets natural cycle into utter chaos.
  • 396365 - The entire world is actually a massive sphere of prokaryotic monocellular organisms, 6800km in diameter. The few plants that do exist have black leaves to absorb as much light as they can while in the dayzones, and often resort to carnivory to retain energy while in the nightzones.
  • Gellaumolt - The entire world is actually a massive sphere of prokaryotic monocellular organisms, 6800km in diameter. These organisms change color depending on how much sunlight is available, meaning the planet has four distinct areas: Winter night, winter day, summer night, and summer day. Inside each of these areas has evolved vastly different forms of life, with all of them unable to survive for very long in the other areas. The majority of these lifeforms live in the air, facilitating their constant migration. Recently, one of the airborne species has developed a parasitic relationship with its host prokaryote, and threatens to spread to the rest of the world.

100 years ago, a mutant form of rabies created a zombie apocalypse on this planet.
  • What the eff: Biohazard edition - 100 years ago, a mutant form of rabies created a zombie apocalypse on this planet. But when you were infected, you grew very small and became blind, so everyone really just stomped the zombies away and they completely disappeared 99 years and 4 (out of 5) months ago. However this symptom of the strain did not affect the feral creatures of the planet, and did quite the opposite: enlarging the creatures and heightening their senses. The people have developed devastating chemical weaponry to destroy these creatures. So far, the war has been raging for two years, as the militaries of the world fight the undead creatures in cities and towns...
  • DID - 100 years ago, a mutant form of rabies created a zombie apocalypse on this planet. It destroyed all animal life, leaving a lush yet eerily silent forest in its wake. This stimulated rapid evolution among the trees. The trees' fruits eventually evolved into brains, each fruit with a distinct personality. As you can imagine, the lack of limbs made every fruit lose its mind. The peak of insanity corresponded with the fruits ripeness, and it would drop off of the tree at peak ripeness.
  • Crazy Fruit Island - 100 years ago, a mutant form of rabies created a zombie apocalypse on this planet. However, they also developed the ability to bounce around.
  • Feraline - 100 years ago, a mutant form of rabies created a zombie apocalypse on this planet. This tragic drama will end within months, however - happily, provided those who remain can take the time to divert an incoming asteroid.
  • Pharaoh - 100 years ago, a mutant form of rabies created a zombie apocalypse on this planet. However, these senses are psychic, and the creatures' sensory organs have disappeared. In a few million years, some of these animals will evolve into a new race of intelligent, psychic organisms that will establish new civilisations.
  • Trilliania - 100 years ago, a mutant form of rabies created a zombie apocalypse on this planet. It destroyed all animal life, leaving a lush yet eerily silent forest in its wake. Due to the lack of animals, the plants of this forest are slowly dying off. However, the exists a unique species of plant that can utilize zombiefied flesh as it's nutrient source. It soon evolved into a humanoid plant people, rebuilding from the ashes left by the apocalypse.
  • The Unclean Streets - 100 years ago, a mutant form of rabies created a zombie apocalypse on this planet. But when you were infected, you grew very small and became blind, so everyone really just stomped the zombies away and they completely disappeared 99 years and 4 (out of 5) months ago. However, the virus proved impossible to destroy, and new victims arise on a weekly basis. Because of the blood. So the streets and floors of the cities are lined with the tiny corpses of the infected.
  • Psychia - 100 years ago, a mutant form of rabies created a zombie apocalypse on this planet. However, these senses are psychic, and the creatures' sensory organs have disappeared. To avoid the attentions of the creatures, the planet's other inhabitants have developed a complex form of Psychic Static.
  • Gulistan - 100 years ago, a mutant form of rabies created a zombie apocalypse on this planet. It destroyed all animal life, leaving a lush yet eerily silent forest in its wake. Due to the lack of animals, the plants of this forest are slowly dying off. However, the exists a unique species of plant that can utilize zombiefied flesh as it's nutrient source. Unfortunately, the flesh is quickly running out, and soon enough they will die out too.

This world has one thousand moons, and it is larger than its sun.
  • Revanchism - This world has one thousand moons, and it is larger than its sun. The government is feudal, with lords fighting out the satellites [e.g., moons] while the king sits pretty in his massive dominions. The peasants are stuck in the middle of this feud, most of them dying of the large scale battles fought. Because of this, the defeated lords and their families are forced to breed and be the new wave of peasants. These defeated nobles often lead rebel peasant states.
  • Desolas - This world has one thousand moons, and it is larger than its sun. The government is feudal, with lords fighting out the satellites [e.g., moons] while the king sits pretty in his massive dominions. The darkness of this place makes guerilla warfare popular here, kingdoms falling as soon as they grew and vice versa. By tradition, all of its kings take up the names of their kingdoms and attach their regal number after it. When one kingdom is assimilated into the other, the populations from one moon is added to the other, leaving the original moon barren and empty, waiting for the next wave of settlers.
  • Unnamed - This world has one thousand moons, and it is larger than its sun. The planet itself is the most peaceful, but only the richest can live there. In spite of its massive size, the planet is mostly hollow, so its inhabitants are not crushed by its gravity.
  • Unnamed - This world has one thousand moons, and it is larger than its sun. The density of the star and of the planet are near equal, so the two have formed a kind of "binary star", orbiting each other. Because of this, the planet has very long seasons and its winter is especially harsh. The sun frequently collides with some of the 1000 moons, adding them to its mass. Because of all this, no life has been able to survive on the planet.
  • Cicluly - This world has one thousand moons, and it is larger than its sun. The density of the star and of the planet are near equal, so the two have formed a kind of "binary star", orbiting each other. Because of this, the planet has very long seasons and its winter is especially harsh. The sun frequently collides with some of the 1000 moons, adding them to its mass. It's estimated that in 675 full orbits (equivalent to 400 Earth years), the sun would stop orbiting, leaving it only to the planet.
  • Avalanche - This world has one thousand moons, and it is larger than its sun. The density of the star and of the planet are near equal, so the two have formed a kind of "binary star", orbiting each other. Among the moons and the planet, a war rages between creatures, civilizations, things from between the spaces, and from other dimensions. This war was started due to a "flake" of a moon scraped off by a comet crashing into one leader's house. Three hundred years later, that event is long forgotten, but the war goes on.
  • SEP - This world has one thousand moons, and it is larger than its sun. The sheer unlikeliness of all this, and the many variegated timelines resulting from the combined influence of so many eldritch and otherworldly factions, is causing the entire universe (and some unfortunate bystanders that were merely passing by at the time) to slowly unravel from the edges back to the epicenter.
  • Flashy Name - This world has one thousand moons, and it is larger than its sun. The density of the star and of the planet are near equal, so the two have formed a kind of "binary star", orbiting each other. Among the moons and the planet, a war rages between creatures, civilizations, things from between the spaces, and from other dimensions. Due to gravitic interference from this intersattelite warfare, two of the moons are now on a collision course for each other, threatening the entire system. Only a few scientists of each civilization have realized this, and work together in secret to avert this catastrophe.

This world exists half in one dimension and half in another.
  • Unnamed - This world exists half in one dimension and half in another. The only real difference between the two is in chirality - whenever an electromagnetic interaction follows the "right-hand rule" in one dimension it obeys a "left-hand rule" in the other. As a result, two populations evolve, appearing similar, but neither can process the half of the world that lies outside their own dimension. At first they fought, but eventually they realized that it was fruitless. They now coexist peacefully (for the most part) and due to their world's unique nature, have an understanding of other worlds that has allowed them to create advanced technology, to the point where most other intelligent species would view them as gods.

The planet's only significant inhabitants are miners from colonial settlements throughout the galaxy who wear special suits which protect users from the planet's atmosphere while they work to strip the planet of a precious resource found only on this particular planet. The nature of the resource is unknown even to the miners; only their employers, who provided their equipment and training, seem to have any idea what it is. The employers are tainted by the precious resource's influence from further along in the fourth dimension, as the resource is a sentient being focused on self-preservation; the mining of it now will prevent the future scavengers from violating it and ultimately destroying it.
  • Verzan - This world's atmosphere is comprised mostly of chlorine and ammonia gas. The land is marshy and almost uninhabitable. The planet's only significant inhabitants are miners from colonial settlements throughout the galaxy who wear special suits which protect users from the planet's atmosphere while they work to strip the planet of a precious resource found only on this particular planet. On the unfortunate occasions when two planets' miners choose to collide, suit ruptures cause the aliens to melt - only to let the suits lie undisturbed for millennia. At one time, miners would often purposely attempt to rupture their competitors' suits, but this became very uncommon after the miners realized that the only reliable way to do so was to collide with them and rupture their own suit as well.
  • Ohwaitia - This world's atmosphere is comprised mostly of chlorine and ammonia gas. The land is marshy and almost uninhabitable. The planet's only significant inhabitants are miners from colonial settlements throughout the galaxy who wear special suits which protect users from the planet's atmosphere while they work to strip the planet of a precious resource found only on this particular planet. On the unfortunate occasions when two planets' miners choose to collide, suit ruptures cause the aliens to melt - only to let the suits lie undisturbed for millenia. However, this never happens because this is the only planet with these specific miners.
  • Talko - This world's atmosphere is comprised mostly of chlorine and ammonia gas. The land is marshy and almost uninhabitable. The sky is a chaotic mishmash of colorful chemical reactions; the more complex are sapient, and sometimes facsimiles of shapes on the ground can be seen briefly before dissipation as these strange creatures commune. This has caused several other creatures who feed off the communication to evolve to become subjects of conversation. Others have became victims of conversation, such as the one who died after his friend asked him how he was.
  • Megacore - This world's atmosphere is comprised mostly of chlorine and ammonia gas. The land is marshy and almost uninhabitable. The planet's only significant inhabitants are miners from colonial settlements throughout the galaxy who wear special suits which protect users from the planet's atmosphere while they work to strip the planet of a precious resource found only on this particular planet. The nature of the resource is unknown even to the miners; only their employers, who provided their equipment and training, seem to have any idea what it is. After it has been extracted, the resource is transported to a vast stockpile on another uninhabitable planet.

In the middle of a white void, a waterfall endlessly flows with neither source nor destination.
  • Slate - In the middle of a white void, a waterfall endlessly flows with neither source nor destination. Whatever propels it affects molecules proportionally to their net bond polarity - most other common substances are unaffected. A great torrent of hydrogen fluoride flows in a great cloud surrounding the water. The hydrofluoric acid that results form the contact of hydrogen fluoride and moisture etches the space it touches out of this reality. This space reappears in other worlds throughout the multiverse
  • RESONATE - In the middle of a white void, a waterfall endlessly flows with neither source nor destination. Whatever propels it affects molecules proportionally to their net bond polarity - most other common substances are unaffected. Rocks jut out of the sky into the water at seemingly random intervals. The river exhibits strange properties on any living creature that come into contact with it. Most who do simply die, but a few (about .1%) gain the ability to "ride" the waterfall into other worlds
  • Falls of the Mind - In the middle of a white void, a waterfall endlessly flows with neither source nor destination. Whatever propels it affects molecules proportionally to their net bond polarity - most other common substances are unaffected. Rocks jut out of the sky into the water at seemingly random intervals. The river exhibits strange properties on any living creature that come into contact with it. The neurons in their brains are scrambled and reordered into geometric shapes, with unknown functions.
  • Balthier's Peak - In the middle of a white void, a waterfall endlessly flows with neither source nor destination. Whatever propels it affects molecules proportionally to their net bond polarity - most other common substances are unaffected. Rocks jut out of the sky into the water at seemingly random intervals. There has been only one attempt to follow the course of the waterfall. A cog with rare aero-stone sailed down the drop; the fate of its sky pirate crew is a great mystery.
  • Psyence - In the middle of a white void, a waterfall endlessly flows with neither source nor destination. Whatever propels it affects molecules proportionally to their net bond polarity - most other common substances are unaffected. A great torrent of hydrogen fluoride flows in a great cloud surrounding the water. This cloud is the main food source of a range of fungi that grow on the rocks surrounding the waterfall, which carry out a radical variation on repiration that still involves using oxygen as a final electron acceptor, but the waste products are oxygen difluoride and hydrogen gs instead of carbon dioxide and water. The atmosphere developed by these gases, and the environment provided by the waterfall have created two forms of life, a carbon-based form, similar to that of Earth's the exists only within the torrent, and heavier form of life that con only exist in the bizarre atmosphere.
  • Unnamed - In the middle of a white void, a waterfall endlessly flows with neither source nor destination. Inside this waterfall, water-dwelling bacteria have somehow evolved. Loose masses of rock circle the moving water, sometimes brushing through it and briefly disturbing part of the flow. When ever that happens, the river will fork into multiple streams, each continuing to flow in different directions. The river and its tributaries flow to many inhabited planets, and since long ago the people of these planets have traveled the star river to trade with one another.

The world consists of two flat planes, each within visible distance of each other.
  • Unnamed - The world consists of two flat planes, each within visible distance of each other. They are slowly - almost imperceptibly - moving apart from each other, and the correspondence of mountain ranges and valleys, and more detailed patterns of strata, between the two show that they must have started perfectly interlocked. The planes continue apparently endlessly in every direction, and even though some of the species which live on their vast surfaces have developed very advanced technology, it's still not known if they even have an edge at all. Due to the uneven separation of the planes, they have an imbalance of resources, and thus trade is a necessity between the two planes. Travel between the two planes is simple enough - on the highest mountains, where the effects of gravity are less, it's entirely possible to simply jump from one plane to another, although it's wise to anchor one's self first, because it can sometimes take several tries, and without taking the necessary precautions it's all too easy to wind up floating weightless in the very middle of the space between planes.
  • Moorssalcis - The world consists of two flat planes, each within visible distance of each other. Yet the few who have set forth in search of an edge have never been heard from or seen again. This makes communication difficult, to the point of being non-existant.
  • Planarian - The world consists of two flat planes, each within visible distance of each other. Yet the few who have set forth in search of an edge have never been heard from or seen again. The inhabitants of one plane theorize that if you travel far enough, the planes intersect, and are demanding that the other plane's governing bodies find and return the missing explorers under threat of interplanar war.
  • Endless Horizons - The world consists of two flat planes, each within visible distance of each other. They are slowly - almost imperceptibly - moving apart from each other, and the correspondence of mountain ranges and valleys, and more detailed patterns of strata, between the two show that they must have started perfectly interlocked. Yet the few who have set forth in search of an edge have never been heard from or seen again. There are rumours that the rulers of the planes have deliberately suppressed information relating to the edges, but whether there is any truth in the rumours is unknown.
  • Metfall - The world consists of two flat planes, each within visible distance of each other. The gravity of the two planes cause them to be separated by a dense layer of clouds, so that neither plane knows of the other's existence. The planes orbit in a way such that one plane always has the top of the other above it. Because they share one sun, this means that each plane has extremely long nights and days. One of the planes have recently begun experimenting with rockets and space travel, and it would only be a matter of time before the two planes come into contact with each other.
  • The Ever-Growing Gap - The world consists of two flat planes, each within visible distance of each other. They are slowly - almost imperceptibly - moving apart from each other, and the correspondence of mountain ranges and valleys, and more detailed patterns of strata, between the two show that they must have started perfectly interlocked. The plains are joined by a network of incredibly long ladders, and in more recent years, elevators have started to spring up. The two societies that have settled on the separate planes are trying to build high enough to construct a special bridge over the vast mountain ranges and valleys that can stretch as the two planes continue to move farther apart from each other so as to ease travel between the two planes. But religions on both sides have ruled that the two planes were meant to move apart, and block attempts to move between the two.
  • Geodyne - The world consists of two flat planes, each within visible distance of each other. However, the planes do not move accordingly, so old ladders and elevators break regularly. Due to relative shortages of certain resources in areas of both plains, open trade - or conquest - has become absolutely vital, leading the most technologically skilled city-states on each into a race to invent the aircraft.
  • Greenhouse - The world consists of two flat planes, each within visible distance of each other. However, the planes do not move accordingly, so old ladders and elevators break regularly. Vines have used the ladders to scaffold, coiling around so that when the ladder breaks, the vines span from one plate to the next, and are coiled enough to stretch for many years.

The world consists of two parts: that which can be seen, and that which is ethereal.
  • Tranzyt - The world consists of two parts: that which can be seen, and that which is ethereal. Things can switch between the worlds with a speed inversely proportional to their size. Both speed and size proportions swap with each other after every journey between the two realms; this leads to massive cellular degradation in traveling organisms. The visible realm consists mainly of plains, with a few forests; while the ethereal realm is mostly deserts except for a few plains. There are several sapient species of varying sizes - the largest tend to act as local governing bodies due to their relative stability, while the smallest are often employed as couriers.
  • Eversia - The world consists of two parts: that which can be seen, and that which is ethereal. Things can switch between the worlds with a speed inversely proportional to their size. Both speed and size proportions swap with each other after every journey between the two realms; this leads to massive cellular degradation in traveling organisms. Yet some brave/fools make repeated journeys, bringing back riches to their homes. Such riches from the ethereal world can turn quite a profit among tourists from other worlds, but the people who bring them over rarely ever get to see a dime from their discoveries before succumbing to rapid cellular degradation.
  • Termina Fatim - The world consists of two parts: that which can be seen, and that which is ethereal. Things can switch between the worlds with a speed inversely proportional to their size. Both speed and size proportions swap with each other after every journey between the two realms; this leads to massive cellular degradation in traveling organisms. Research expeditions attempting to study this world have met with setbacks. Any probes sent to the world and retrieved from it were altered so strongly by the laws of this world, that it took three years to confirm that it was indeed the probe researchers sent away.
  • Laristhadiveb - The world consists of two parts: that which can be seen, and that which is ethereal. Things can switch between the worlds with a speed inversely proportional to their size. Both speed and size proportions swap with each other after every journey between the two realms; this leads to massive cellular degradation in travelling organisms. The visible realm consists mainly of plains, with a few forests; while the ethereal realm is mostly deserts except for a few plains. A visible asteroid is due to strike the ethereal realm in 16 years.
  • Knurd - The world consists of two parts: that which can be seen, and that which is ethereal. Things can switch between the worlds with a speed inversely proportional to their size. Carbon-based lifeforms from the visible world tend to come back drunk, leading to philosophical speculation on the nature of reality. One major philosophical movement holds that the ethereal world is the home of all consciousness, and that the travel is due to the "crossing of wires." Another more dogmatic group insists that this so-called drunkenness is the true nature of consciousness, and try to get all beings to cross over permanently.
  • Drunken Dream - The world consists of two parts: that which can be seen, and that which is ethereal. Things can switch between the worlds with a speed inversely proportional to their size. Carbon-based lifeforms from the visible world tend to come back drunk, leading to philosophical speculation on the nature of reality. One major philosophical movement holds that the ethereal world is the home of all consciousness, and that the travel is due to the "crossing of wires." Every so often, there exists a traveller that is immune to the drunkening effect of the ethereal realm, and these individuals are highly sought after by various organizations as the key to further explore the ethereal realm in a more coherent way.
  • Ertia - The world consists of two parts: that which can be seen, and that which is ethereal. Things can switch between the worlds with a speed inversely proportional to their size. Both speed and size proportions swap with each other after every journey between the two realms; this leads to massive cellular degradation in traveling organisms. Research expeditions attempting to study this world have met with setbacks. To prevent degeneration, all exploration is now performed via telepresence, but the equipment necessary to do certain experiments by remote becomes prohibitively expensive to accelerate to the necessary speeds.
  • Platonicus - The world consists of two parts: that which can be seen, and that which is ethereal. Contact with the ethereal world has proved difficult and next to impossible, but those which can be seen have forbiddingly nicknamed it "Shadowland." Recent analysis indicates that the sun in Shadowland shines with an luminosity of over 2×10^7 W/(m^−2)(sr^−1); given the atmosphere, this suggests it might have an apparent magnitude of nearly -27. While this would explain the name - as this is considerably dimmer than the visible world's inhabitants are used to - there are also indications that the ethereal beings themselves might be actively darkening their sky in some way. There is no way of knowing for certain whether or not the Shadowland's inhabitants plan to find a way to spread their activities into the visible realm.

While this would explain the name - as this is considerably dimmer than the visible world's inhabitants are used to - there are also indications that the ethereal beings themselves might be actively darkening their sky in some way. But in spite of all this speculation, people are mostly just trying to figure out what "2×10^7 W/(m^−2)(sr^−1);" means.
  • Tannhausen - The world consists of two parts: that which can be seen, and that which is ethereal. Contact with the ethereal world has proved difficult and next to impossible, but those who have seen it have forbiddingly nicknamed it "Shadowland." Glimpses of the ethereal world are invariably ephemeral and dim; the clearest sights are generally through one of the real world's ubiquitous forest pools, but every pool shows a different place and even over the course of a single brief viewing that place can change so as to be unrecognizable. Some have reported seeing moving shadows in the pools, hinting that there's something alive on the ethereal side. However, some philosophers have questioned whether or not the moving shadows are indeed alive and have theorized that it is a glimpse of an afterlife where time has neither meaning nor form.
  • The Place Near Notasshadowyaswethoughtland - The world consists of two parts: that which can be seen, and that which is ethereal. Due to this fact, a group has been established within the Political Literalist party petitioning for a rename of "Shadowland" to "Notasshadowyaswethoughtland." The Laconic Party suggests naming it to Kindofshadowyland, " but it's not very popular or funny.
  • Intravenous - The world consists of two parts: that which can be seen, and that which is ethereal. Things can switch between the worlds with a speed inversely proportional to their size. Carbon-based lifeforms from the visible world tend to come back drunk, leading to philosophical speculation on the nature of reality. However, once they've sobered up they usually remember little of what happened on the other side, so there are few reliable accounts of the process. It is speculated that lifeforms that leave the other side return to it asleep or possibly caffeinated, but this is not yet confirmed.

However, once they've sobered up they usually remember little of what happened on the other side, so there are few reliable accounts of the process. When the ethereal creatures switch between the worlds, they lose a little bit of themselves each time.

It's extremely common to get otherworldly, horrifying nightmares that might be symbolic, prophetic or a message for some other use. Most people can only bear to look into the other world once or twice in their lives without going mad, but there are some who are somehow able to do so regularly, and although such people are infamous for their eccentricity, they are also revered as wise men and prophets.

The world consists of an infinite number of sealed areas of various sizes connected only by narrow transit lines; nothing outside the areas is perceptible.
  • Isolatia - The world consists of an infinite number of sealed areas of various sizes connected only by narrow transit lines; nothing outside the areas is perceptible. Trade along the transit lines is vital, but nearly all traders eventually succumb to hallucinations and religious fervor in time. Attempts to penetrate the seals have proven unsuccessful, as all attempted holes eventually reach a reservoir of a viscous blue fluid that fouls drills and saws, corrodes metal, and causes carbonaceous substances to evaporate. Due to this, xenophobia is quite rampant. Even sane traders from other areas face suspicion and hostility, which some extend to killing outsiders on sight.

However, bluephobia is even MORE rampant.
  • The New Hive - The world consists of an infinite number of sealed areas of various sizes connected only by narrow transit lines; nothing outside the areas is perceptible. Trade along the transit lines is vital, but nearly all traders eventually succumb to hallucinations and religious fervor in time. Because of this, traders are among the most respected members of society in most of the areas. Because of the stories painted by the traders, the citizens of the areas believe that there is indeed more world for them to perceive outside of the transit lines and sealed areas. Unfortunately, due to to harsh mental strain involved in in traveling along the transit lines, only those with the strongest minds can ever hope to become a trader and navigate the system and bear witness to outside their own area.

The world is covered entirely by a huge ice cap, with oceans and continents stuck far beneath it.
  • Eluwisthega - The world is covered entirely by a huge ice cap, with oceans and continents stuck far beneath it. Civilizations live in the caverns in the ice, heated by living vents stretching from geothermal hotspots. These civilizations are in constant unrest due to the anarchy down there, caused by the lack of a proper government. Mostly they also live nomadic lifestyles, due to instability in the caverns caused by the movements of the ice above. They ascribe these movements to divine wars.
  • Dark Caverns - The world is covered entirely by a huge ice cap, with oceans and continents stuck far beneath it. Civilizations live in the caverns in the ice, heated by living vents stretching from geothermal hotspots. They dig continuously for more space, often through caverns opened by their ancestors and then demolished by war. Billions of hideous species of monsters have evolved in these dark, forbidding caverns. However, only one has evolved to create lightbulbs and now its people are working on becoming more beautiful.

Civilizations live in the caverns in the ice, heated by living vents stretching from geothermal hotspots. This Civilizations are in constant Unrest do to the anarchy down there, caused by the lack of proper government. As a consequence, settlements are fragile short-lived due to warfare and damage to the vents. Due to these unrests, turmoils and conflicts, little if any trust remains between anyone.

Civilizations live in the caverns in the ice, heated by living vents stretching from geothermal hotspots. They dig continuously for more space, often through caverns opened by their ancestors and then demolished by war. Billions of hideous species of monsters have evolved in these dark, forbidding caverns. One of these creatures is a long green beast with four legs, able to detonate itself, which it usually does when close to human beings.
  • Polaris LXIX - The world is covered entirely by a huge ice cap, with oceans and continents stuck far beneath it. Before life could develop, geothermal processes had to carve out a sort of cavernous expanse of water beneath the ice. The world lacks a moon or magnetic field; the thick shield of ice alone protects the aquatic organisms beneath from incoming cosmic radiation and meteors alike. Robotic probes have detected small nomadic settlements around the geothermal vents, that strangely have electric technology. Due to hesitance to create too large a hole in the ice shield, it is unknown yet if these settlements are of the same species or even interact with each other.
  • Philiax - The world is covered entirely by a huge ice cap, with oceans and continents stuck far beneath it. Before life could develop, geothermal processes had to carve out a sort of cavernous expanse of water beneath the ice. The world lacks a moon or magnetic field; the thick shield of ice alone protects the aquatic organisms beneath from incoming cosmic radiation and meteors alike. The race of intelligent creatures living on this planet evolved from animals similar to Earth's ctenophores. They communicate by direct exchange of neurochemical polymer chains through fringe-like tendrils on the ends of specific tentacles.

The center of the world consists of the most pure crystalline structure, and is thought to be the most ordered place in existence.
  • Centralsphere - The center of the world consists of the most pure crystalline structure, and is thought to be the most ordered place in existence. Trapped inside is exactly one magnetic monopole, of southerly charge. The resultant magnetic field is insufficient to fully shield the world, resulting in a part of the world being highly vulnerable to cosmic radiation. Due to this, mutation - both beneficial and not - is a rapid process on this planet, with new species differentiating at a staggering rate. At regular intervals of approximately 65.37 years, the planet is bombarded with an alternative kind of radiation that causes random objects and organisms to vanish-possibly into other worlds.

Biological life is long gone from this world, but its robotic progeny remain.
  • Time Capsule - Biological life is long gone from this world, but its robotic progeny remain. The world is also completely made of metal, so any plants were impossible from the beginning. Everything is automated - the machines know not of their masters' deaths, and cannot, producing energy and materials for a long-dead world. The food they produce sits uneaten until picked up by scavenger robots to be reprocessed once again. Malfunctioning processing plants have resulted in cyborg life, which has created an biosphere of its own.

But one day, in one of those piles, life arises anew, growing to intelligence under the guidance of their silent, incomprehensible robot gods.
  • Declassified - Biological life is long gone from this world, but its robotic progeny remain. The world is also completely made of metal, so any plants were impossible from the beginning. Everything is automated - the machines know not of their masters' deaths, and cannot, producing energy and materials for a long-dead world. Such is their efficiency that the warehouses filled with manufactured goods now occupy a greater portion of the planet's surface than the empty cities do - yet the automatic defense systems that still protect the planet against invaders make it impossible for any of these resources to be taken and used by other races. This may soon change, however, as the intelligence controlling the defense system is currently undergoing an existential crisis.
  • Monopoly - Biological life is long gone from this world, but its robotic progeny remain. Unfortunately enough for them, however, they will soon run out of the resources they need to survive. Robotkind has built numbers of spaceships, teleporters and broadcasting stations in their quest for seeking more necessary resources. Little do they know that an infinite renewable resource exists everywhere in their universe, it is simply inaccessible without the presence of biological organisms. However, some of them are aware, and seek biological organisms in order to dominate the energy source.

  • The Age of Machines - Biological life is long gone from this world, but its robotic progeny remain. The world is also completely made of metal, so any plants were impossible from the beginning. The world has been this way for so long that many of the younger machines no longer believe that such a thing as organic life exists. They have always maintained the panels and thermal vents which provide their life-giving electricity, actively maintaining the complex and ecosystem-like network of robotic life that keeps their civilization intact; only the central cityminds would ever think otherwise, and they are clearly growing 'senile'. One citymind has splintered into at least five different personalities, each vying for control.
  • Realfive - Biological life is long gone from this world, but its robotic progeny remain. Unfortunately enough for them, however, they will soon run out of the resources they need to survive. Their intelligence is not sufficient to develop space flight on their own; they must wait for the arrival of another species to their soon-to-be dormant world to discover the key to their survival. And one possible creature has arrived: methane breathers who long ago engineered away their old forms and who are forbidden from creating sentient machines on their own. However, they will crash land into the robot's planet killing them all but leaving the ships intact.

Their intelligence is not sufficient to develop space flight on their own; they must wait for the arrival of another species to their soon-to-be dormant world to discover the key to their survival. Even if that does happen, it is unlikely they will be able to reverse engineer the alien technology. And so, they decide to shut down their entire race, except for a sole guardian, to wait and tell every visitors about their fate, so that they might help to review them one day.

When that happens, they will streak across the galaxy in a mass wave of conquest. As they were created to use organic matter as a food source, this conquest will be inflicted only on inhabited planets.

A great needle-shaped construct rises from a sun, filled with machinery to protect a large biosphere on its flattened end. [Note: This ran into problems. The original message read: A great needle-shaped construct rises from a, filled with machinery to protect a large biosphere on its flattened end.]
  • A - A great needle-shaped construct rises from a, filled with machinery to protect a large biosphere on its flattened end. However, due to being an 'A', it's all technically flat, but there is still a forest-based biosphere on the left leg. On especially clear days, the right leg is visible from a good vantage point on the left leg. What's not covered in forest is grey spots of land spotted by occasional puddles. At the center of the left leg, the trees of the forest grow to tremendous heights, reaching the very edge of the atmosphere.

  • Looking Backward - A great needle-shaped construct rises from a sun, filled with machinery to protect a large forest-based biosphere on its flattened end. The needle acts as a high-efficiency heat engine, leeching work from the heat of the sun as it is drained into biosphere and radiated into space. The inhabitants of the biosphere use this engine to power their entire highly advanced civilisation. They built the sun needle to escape their homeworld, which had been rendered uninhabitable by a global thermonuclear war. One day, the light from the massive explosions across their homeworld will reach their needle, but it will be far too faint to see over the light of the sun.

The inhabitants of the biosphere use this engine to power their entire highly advanced civilisation. They built the sun needle to escape their homeworld, which had been rendered uninhabitable by a global thermonuclear war. As the needle is oriented perpendicularly to the ecliptic, what remains of their homeworld orbits slowly around them, just below the horizon, providing a constant historical memorial.

The needle acts as a high-efficiency heat engine, leeching work from the heat of the sun as it is drained into biosphere and radiated into space. The inhabitants of the biosphere use this engine to power their entire highly advanced civilisation. Recently, they've been making efforts to turn the energy into binary transmissions, which they beam out across space. The signal they are beaming is estimated to reach the nearest stellar system in thirteen years.

The needle acts as a high-efficiency heat engine, leeching work from the heat of the sun as it is drained into biosphere and radiated into space. The biosphere acts as a biological factory for the advanced civilization of the system's third planet. The biosphere is a home to countless alien species. Outside, countless machines wage war against each other for control of the needle after an event made half of the machines, meant to maintain the engine, gain sentence, with a select few trying to maintain order as the aliens in the biosphere go on, unheeding.

It does not do so perfectly, however, and if the civilization does not realize this, the biosphere will degenerate in another 6.82 million years.

The needle acts as a high-efficiency heat engine, leeching work from the heat of the sun as it is drained into biosphere and radiated into space. The biosphere acts as a biological factory for the advanced civilization of the system's third planet. The biosphere is a home to countless alien species. The factory is intended to produce "tellugens" - self-sustaining microecosystems enclosing the surface of a comet that is itself filled with all the spores and atmospheric diatoms necessary to initiate laissez-faire terraforming of whatever distant planet they encounter.

The biosphere acts as a biological factory for the advanced civilization of the system's third planet. The organisms that it creates turn the metal in the needle into gears and mechanical parts, but the needle regenerates itself from the metallic products of the star's nuclear fusion. By doing this, the civilization hopes to both postpone the star's gravitational collapse, prolonging the life of their biosphere, and to produce organic starship arks by which they can colonize other star systems.

When seen from above, this flat world appears to be the board for some type of enormous, cosmic game.
  • Eternal Conflict - When seen from above, this flat world appears to be the board for some type of enormous, cosmic game. Two civilisations have formed on opposite sided of the world, and are in a state of perpetual war. The southern civilisation consists of a highly magical species, while the northern one is a race of scientists and engineers. Every being in each civilization has a fixed number of inches (always a whole number) that they can move in one second, and they must choose between moving or performing another, action (a finite list of these actions existed when the universe was created and remains unmodified) each second. Neither can win and neither can lose, and so they remain, a world locked in endless conflict, for the amusement of gods alone.

Philosophers in the north insist there must be a biological reason for this, while those in the south hypothesize that it is caused by magical properties of that particular length of time.

The last life in the universe survives on a generation ship, searching for a planet it might call home.
  • Endurance - The last life in the universe survives on a generation ship, searching for a planet it might call home. The rest was destroyed when a gigantic, cosmic force of unknown origin swept through the universe, leaving a trail of devastated galaxies in its wake. The ship itself was once part of a larger fleet, but one by one they have failed, leaving it alone. As well, the life on board has stringent requirements for survivable - they can't last outside of a certain 'sweet' spot of electromagnetic radiation presence. Unfortunately for them, the only area in the universe with those properties is an anomaly in the area where two galaxies are colliding, in which bolts of lightning light-seconds in length arc throughout space, destroying everything in their paths.

  • The forgotten Search - The last life in the universe survives on a generation ship, searching for a planet it might call home. They have forgotten their origins, and now believe that the ship is the entire universe, only keeping it running through ritualized, half-forgotten maintenance procedures. This routine dominates their existence; dreams, hopes, and love merely incidentals, if at all. Some of them are displeased at this, and seek to eliminate the rituals. Believing in a universe outside the hull, they want to replace them with actual mechanics and turn their journey from an aimless drift through space back to its original purpose: Finally finding a new home.

It cowers beneath the great fungus, pressing its body against the stalk; aware that should it stray too far from shelter its life would be forfeit. As the creature's species continues to evolve, however, it will one day develop into the dominant form of life on the planet. In modern days, whale, reptile and slug meat are a delicates, eaten with vengeance filled glee.

However, the mushroom seems to swallow the rat-like thing in a matter of seconds, and similar mushrooms around the globe do the same. As a defence mechanism, the rat thing has started to use the fungus as a food source.

For now, the creature is just beginning to see itself in the reflective surface of the giant mushroom it lives under. It wonders if it might somehow take some of the reflective material with it, to more easily watch for predators behind it.

Two planets orbit the same sun, with both at diametrically opposite sides of the same orbit at all given times.
  • Run Away, Zudak... - Two planets orbit the same sun, with both at diametrically opposite sides of the same orbit at all given times. Their shared orbit is exceedingly delicate; whenever the planets get too near each other, they interfere with each other gravitationally in such a way that they essentially reverse direction◊ - each moving back and forth along one-half of the orbit. On one planet, efforts to explain the strange movement of the stars has led to an elaborate system of epicycles; on the other, religious cosmologies complex enough to make Hesiod cry in frustration. Ever since the scientific revolutions, the equivalent of the Renaissance of Earth, which took place almost at the same time of both planets, the population of each have been aware of sentient life on the other, before even the discovery of electricity or radio waves, and it was not until centuries later, with the development of spaceflight, that representatives of each world met with each other in a historic occasion that would never be forgotten. They then collaborated to take down whoever made that horrid run-on sentence.

Their shared orbit is exceedingly delicate; whenever the planets get too near each other, they interfere with each other gravitationally in such a way that they essentially reverse direction - each moving back and forth along one-half of the orbit. Their speed stays consistently the same at all times. Recent advances in astronomy and mathematics on both planets have recently inferred the existence of the other, but this hypothesis is still controversial. Neither planet has a moon - that would ruin the orbital mechanics - and consequently agriculture is significantly more difficult, due to the higher regularity of meteorites adding dust to the atmosphere and the lack of meaningful tides.

Debris flung from the disk streaks by the planet's sky constantly, making a sort of constant meteor shower. Only one planet in the system supports life. The people on this planet become dedicated to recording each passing meteor, finding a place for it in their complex tales of the countless gods above. Living in eternal twilight, they write the most wonderful music about their shining deities, who each grant them enlightenment for a short time.

The polar opposite of the black hole, it is teeming with life, everything fused into some sort of symbiotic chain - those that aren't bound to it search for ways to escape the planet. A small tribe of sentient creatures strikes a deal with an alien expedition- their solar system for passage offworld. But as with everyone else, the black hole's gravitation makes impossible to leave the system, making this lone planet a showcase for the variety of life in the universe and yet, a prison.

  • Silent Invasion - A mountain of ice emerges from the center of a sandy desert. As it is the only source of water for miles, it has become a meeting place for all the different races living in this otherwise endless wasteland. They don't know that the mountain is somewhat living, and is birthing to other ice mountains every 200 years, around 70 miles away. The ice taken from these mountains contains several dormant bacterial species. Eons ago, this chunk of ice came from the space, as a method of transportation for the bacterial species living inside it, who now take over every living organism, who drinks water from the ice, and thus the whole planet.

As it is the only source of water for miles, it has become a meeting place for all the different races living this otherwise endless wasteland. A young girl's scream pierces the air as she is pushed aside by a larger child who wishs to access the water: a common occurrence, amongst children and adults alike. This girl is lucky; several people are trampled to death every day in the quest for water. This scarcity of water has led to unrest within and between communities, implying a strong possibility of a bloodbath between brethrens.

  • Pete - In a far corner of reality there lies a universe that is empty save for one type of stellar formation: black holes. Each one an undetectable death trap, almost eager to pull its victims into the nothingness: a prison from which light itself cannot escape. If one has a good navigator and a maneuverable ship, they can weave between the ever shifting holes and hide away in the pirate stations hidden amongst long-forgotten civilizations and deadened planets. These prate stations seem deserted and have lots of vague evidence of countless atrocities and grand achievements of various factions. Legends say that long ago, an amazing treasure was lost to battle in the station network.

These are no ordinary black holes - The objects that enter them pop out another rearranged into a different object. One day, according to the laws of probability, something living will come out of one of them, transformed from the asteroid, comet or meteor it came in as. These black holes are of intense interest to the intergalactic scientific community, who seek to understand what the flip is going on in them. They do in fact work by quantum space doing a flip (and then the Electric Boogaloo).

Each one an undetectable death trap, almost eager to pull its victims into the nothingness: a prison from which light itself cannot escape. Sometimes, a black hole finds itself in the gravitational field of another black hole, pulling them closer together and causing them to merge into one supermassive black hole. It's speculated that a sufficient buildup of black holes will eventually consume the entire universe. This has only been prevented so far by inexplicable, massive, long structures that appear out of nothing between black holes, preventing their joining.

Sometimes, a black hole finds itself in the gravitational field of another black hole, pulling them closer together and causing them to merge into one supermassive black hole. It's speculated that a sufficient buildup of black holes will eventually consume the entire universe. The energy beings that inhabit outer space, however, will soon discover a way to travel into other universes, allowing them to escape the destruction of their own.
  • Black Market - In a far corner of reality there lies a universe that is empty save for one type of stellar formation: black holes. This corner of reality is a place for pirates and smugglers from each incarnation of the multiverse. It is in fact one of only two ways to travel between universes; the other is heavily patrolled, but the regulating bodies of multiverse commerce have so far relied on the black holes to control pirating through this route.
  • Breathe - In a far corner of reality there lies a universe that is empty save for one type of stellar formation: black holes. These are no ordinary black holes - The objects that enter them pop out another rearranged into a different object. One day, according to the laws of probability, something living will come out of one of them, transformed from the asteroid, comet or meteor it came in as. This living being, however, will immediately die, since it will be merely floating in space. There is an even less likely possibility, known to a select few, that the creature that emerges will have no need for breath and be the herald of a new chapter in evolution.

Following the collision of two large planets, this small world was formed from the debris.
  • R - Following the collision of two large planets, this small world was formed from the debris. Not all of the debris has joined the world, and some parts of the planets are still intact. Coincidentally, the rats from a previous world have populated this comparatively barren planet a few years after its birth. However, they are rapidly dying out without a food source to sustain them. Perhaps in the future, sapientiformation will allow it to be properly settled.
  • Apex - Following the collision of two large planets, this small world was formed from the debris. Not all of the debris has joined the world, and some parts of the planets are still intact. Coincidentally, the rats from a previous world have populated this comparatively barren planet a few years after it's birth. This has formed a unique relationship, between the rats, living on the surface of the new planet and the survivors from the the two destroyed planets, who now live on the debris, which orbits the new planet as asteroids. An ecosystem of the most unlikely sort: one which is about to change, as a single rat comes across the meaty carcass of a deceased survivor.

Coincidentally, the rats from a previous world have populated this comparatively barren planet a few years after its birth. However, they are rapidly dying out without a food source to sustain them. The rats have become carriers for a deadly airborne virus which has evolved on this world and is only released once the rats begin to die, which will result in the eventual quarantine of the entire planet.
  • Desperation - Following the collision of two large planets, this small world was formed from the debris. However, this world is unstable, brittle even, and those who live on its surface live in the near constant fear that the ground will give way before them. Therefore the primary architecture of the planet are huge, free floating structures, webbed into a net of supporting cables which are arranged between gigantic pillars that stand on the few, solid and safe spots on the ground. An entire caste of this planet's citizenry, considered holy men, dedicate themselves to caring for the vast network of cables that literally prevent their entire society from collapsing. This alone is not enough however, as the planet still suffers from frequent meteors.

Therefore the primary architecture of the planet are huge, free floating structures, webbed into a net of supporting cables which are arranged between gigantic pillars that stand on the few, solid and safe spots on the ground. The wiry flora of this world twists its way around the cables and pillars, the result of the long process of adaptation and evolution. There are very few survicing species on thsi planet and consequently only the beings who can live with very, very little to eat have been able to survive, let alone form a small pack.

However, this world is unstable, brittle even, and those who live on its surface live in the near constant fear that the ground will give way before them. The world is held in equilibrium by the gravitational fields of the larger planets, but any significant disruption could destroy the world altogether. The huge gravitational influence has caused life to evolve in heavy, big boned, snakelike creatures. Lack of manipulative appendages means that the life of this planet will never evolve intelligence.

The world is held in equilibrium by the gravitational fields of the larger planets, but any significant disruption could destroy the world altogether. Thus, the inhabitants of the world are loath to send out spacecraft, despite having the technology. If they were not so afraid, they would be aware of the asteroid currently streaking towards them.

A world, stuck in the middle ages, still filled with magic and wonder.
  • Mutual Benefit - A world, stuck in the middle ages, still filled with magic and wonder. Everybody in this world has innate magical talent, and most use it only for small, everyday matters. Most, that is: in the darkest recesses of the world a collective has formed, one that see a "greater purpose" for their powers. They are opposed by an equally secretive group that sees any magic as metaphysically obscene. These groups competing manipulations of events has resulted in a massive civil war in one country, between those who seek to dominate all others with their magic powers and those who desire to wipe all knowledge of it from people's minds.

Most, that is: in the darkest recesses of the world a collective has formed, one that see a "greater purpose" for their powers. They are opposed by an equally secretive group that sees any magic as metaphysically obscene. Soon, however, their secret war will be completely changed by the discovery of a mysterious force called electricity.
  • Loop - A world, stuck in the middle ages, still filled with magic and wonder. This technological retardation is assured by a large minority of its inhabitants' time travel abilities, ranging from small jumps to far more. The time stream consists of a nearly infinite line of jumpers, each trying to undo the work of the previous one. The convoluted time paradoxes have caused abnormalities and distortions to happen in reality, relating to wildly fluctuating time-space, creepy abominations and figures of legends and myths walking on the earth in flesh. No real chance ever has any lasting effect, the world is forced to live in endless repetition.

This technological retardation is assured by a large minority of its inhabitants' time travel abilities, ranging from small jumps to far more. In the future, the ruling council has seen the terror wrought by nuclear weapons, and engineered time so that there had always been religious bans on the use of electricity and automated production lines, enforced by a fanatical group with the ability to time jump. However, some of the time travelers have seen another future, one where the powers of magic tear reality asunder. These two groups are becoming ever more hostile towards each other, almost to the point of civil war.

  • Gattaca - A world, stuck in the middle ages, still filled with magic and wonder. Everybody in this world has innate magical talent, and most use it only for small, everyday matters. This has caused humanity to become complacent, with precious few possessing bothering with things such as manual labour, or even diligence. However, it is thought (incorrectly) that a small percentage of people have no magical ability. Those people with unexpressed magical talents are discriminated against, and aren't allowed to be full members of this magical society.

This has caused humanity to become complacent, with precious few possessing bothering with things such as manual labour, or even diligence. But it caused magic to become highly sophisticated in most areas, providing a good alternative. Countless scholars have dedicated their lives to discovering what the source of these mystical abilities are to no avail.

In reality, these few are gifted with skills that would only become apparent were they to develop more advanced forms of technology - electropathy being the most prominent.

  • Into the Fire - The Sun has long ago swallowed up the Earth and its neighbours in its slow demise, forcing the human race to migrate to the outer reaches of the solar system. For about 10 years (It's hard to tell without the sun), their huge group of 10, 000 identical ships headed towards their goal. They have recently passed through the Oort Cloud. However, a religious movement is spreading from ship to ship, trying to convince the fleet to turn around. They say that only by returning themselves to the dying body of the sun can humanity ever reach the afterlife.

However, a religious movement is spreading from ship to ship, trying to convince the fleet to turn around. Unfortunately for them, the ships in the fleet can only turn at very wide angles, so this would take far too long to be feasible.

However, with no other solar systems nearby, that doesn't look likely.

The world is a series of vast interconnected machines floating in the aether.
  • Gearscape - The world is a series of vast interconnected machines floating in the aether. Gears and clockwork turn endlessly, powered by a perpetual motion generator. The machinery was built in the distant past and is capable of running for tens of thousands of years without breaking down or needing maintenance. Wispy, jellyfish-like organisms float through the ventilation shafts, feeding on aerial plankton, while selectively-bred fish consume the bacteria that occasionally gum up the innards of the cooling system. However, the machines don't actually do anything, it's just there to make space look cooler.

Wispy, jellyfish-like organisms float through the ventilation shafts, feeding on aerial plankton, while selectively-bred fish consume the bacteria that occasionally gum up the innards of the cooling system. However, as this magnificent piece of clockwork is about to find out, millenia is more than enough time for some bacteria to evolve a defence mechanism.

Any semblance of purpose in the mechanisms has been lost due to thousands of years of buggy automatic repair mechanisms. By now, they're useless, rusting hulks inhabited by the descendants of those that built them. They still however draw power from the aether, creating a fantastic lightshow around the collection rods. The lights are easily visible from a great distance away, drawing the spaceships of fledgling civilizations who have just discovered the secrets of interstellar travel to it like a beacon.

  • Ideas Lost - A world, that orbits its sun so close, it surface consists only of scorching deserts and seas of boiling lava, bathed in radiation. The environment is too hostile for multicellular life to survive, but a few single-celled organisms have somehow managed to evolve. These simple organisms have managed to overcome their limitations by forming a hive mind - a single consciousness spanning an entire world. The instincts and thoughts of the one, shared by the many of this grand and stoic race. However, since that last sentence was redundant as that's what a hive mind means, we must obviously be losing ideas and this branch must be quickly terminated.

  • Excavation - A world, that orbits its sun so close, it surface consists only of scorching deserts and seas of boiling lava, bathed in radiation. By some miracle, life has managed to form here, in vast caverns that lie between the irradiated wastelands on the surface and the planet's core. Because it has never seen the surface, this life has evolved no defense against sunlight — the slightest touch of which can kill it. The energy to live here comes not from the sun, but from the heat of the planet's core. Now, some of the creatures have created environmental suits and machines in order to explore the surface.

Great fungi process heat into energy where plants use light, and the fungi in turn provide food for the arthropod-like lifeforms that swarm across the rocks. This life is destined to never evolve and stay like this for eternity. The cause of this the incredible balance the ecosystem exists in, where there is little room for disruption.

They also naturally produce radio waves that are often mistaken for signals sent by intelligent life. This leads to the fact that this world has now become a holy grail, of sorts, for scavengers and pirates due to the large number of ships that crash on the planet.

A Volkswagen Beetle five times it's regular size floats in space.
  • Jimi Hendrix Has A Dream - A Volkswagen Beetle five times it's regular size floats in space. It is piloted by evolved humans, who can survive without oxygen and have learned to move in space's void with less complex space-vessels. It is one of thousands such vessels in a gigantic automobile based-fleet. Their pilots live in the spirit of the 60s and search for their Space Woodstock. One day, they will finally be able to pull up at the festival, and enjoy the sounds of music, with an exploding sun in the background.
  • (Untitled) - A Volkswagen Beetle five times it's regular size floats in space. However, the hippies that were pulled along with it when it fell into the wormhole remained the same size, much to their surprise. The beetle is fitted with powerful thrusters powered by extremely efficient solar panels. It is floating toward a small planet that, while inhabitable, is not yet inhabited. The hippies have enough LSD to last them several thousand lifetimes there.

The beetle is fitted with powerful thrusters powered by extremely efficient solar panels. It is floating toward a small planet that, while inhabitable, is not yet inhabited. This is principally because the receiving end of the wormhole exists in the distant past, giving millions of years for the descendants of the hippie colonists to establish an empire across this particular galactic cluster.
  • But Wait There's No More - A Volkswagen Beetle five times its regular size floats in space. However, the hippies that were pulled along with it when it fell into the wormhole remained the same size, much to their surprise. Another rather pleasant surprise was that the oxygen within the vehicle was not sucked out of it during the same event. But their supplies are limited. Sadly, the supplies are not the product in a commercial.

  • (Untitled) - Floating in space is a tiny, indestructible black box, which has just landed on a primitive world. The box is one of a number of probes sent out by a now-extinguished civilization to explore the galaxy. The probes repair and make more of themselves with resources gathered in their travels, but the reproduction rate was set barely above that necessary for replacement so that they didn't “eat” the universe. Its landing has greatly disrupted the biosphere, however, as the origin of life on this world is a seeding project by another race. The probe's "feeding" has disrupted the carefully-crafted atmospheric conditions necessary for the life to survive, jeopardising its survival.

  • Rocketsam and Orbitsam - Floating in space is a tiny, indestructible black box, which has just landed on a primitive world. Throughout space it gathered a shell of debris; some of it was burnt by the descent, but the majority still shields the box from inquisitive excavators. Millions of years old, the box was originally created by a long-dead alien species to hold a gift to another now extinct species. It was a custom amongst these species to exchange gifts of livestock and captives, stolen from rival races. To open it without the "key" would require the technology and focused energies of a K-2.5 civilization - which, ironically enough, is not quite sufficiently advanced to successfully protect itself from the weapon the box contains.
  • The Hub - Floating in space is a tiny, indestructible black box, which has just landed on a primitive world. The box is one of a number of probes sent out by a now-extinguished civilization to explore the galaxy. Within it is the generator for one end of a wormhole. On the other end of the wormhole is a great room, the heart of a wormhole network. When a species manages to deliberately activate the wormhole, there is a year-long celebration to welcome them to the Stellar Confederation.

The box is one of a number of probes sent out by a now-extinguished civilisation to explore the galaxy. Within it is the generator for one end of a wormhole. When opened, it will activate the wormhole, absorbing that entire solar system but also launching a fleet through it to contact the interstellar civilisation which has presumably opened the probe in a safe location where the wormhole won't harm anyone, as specified by galactic law. To date, only 113 civilisations have successfully opened the wormhole correctly; the other 2.494*10^2038592 were quickly destroyed due to their ignorance of laws made by elder civilisations of which they were unaware. Fortunately some of the survivors now seek to protect other civilizations from this error.

Throughout space it gathered a shell of debris; some of it was burnt by the descent, but the majority still shields the box from inquisitive excavators. Inside the box is an entire universe, much smaller than ours. Inside the universe is absolutely nothing - it is a pristine and untarnished continuum untouched by mass and energy. It is unknown what would happen if even a single particle fell from our universe into the nothingness.

This world was created by God as proof of his omnipotence.
  • (Untitled) - This world was created by God as proof of his omnipotence. It wouldn't be very comprehensible to a human observer, seeing as it's filled with Escherian structures and unliftable rocks. Everyone there is a drone, serving only as a custodian, without any free will whatsoever. It's also mostly invisible to the average eyes because it has abnormal but beautiful colors. As snide commentary on our theology, God has the drones enact fierce debates and wars about religious errata.

Everyone there is a drone, serving only as a custodian, without any free will whatsoever. Some have been given wings and forced to fly through the atmosphere, endlessly singing praises of their creator. So, the custodian responsible for the illumination has been acting strangely recently. As the light of this world flickers, is a sense of self beginning to awaken?

It wouldn't be very comprehensible to a human observer, seeing as it's filled with Escherian structures and unliftable rocks. Everyone there is a drone, serving only as a custodian, without any free will whatsoever. Someday, a small spark of initiative will emerge in one. This too is intended as a proof of God's omnipotence, as it will eventually be almost a god in its own right.
  • Looks Like We Were Wrong After All - This world was created by God as proof of his omnipotence. Therefore, in contains several logical inconsistencies and paradoxes. For example, every stair case in every building is the infamous Impossible Staircase and most rivers travel upstream. Even the Laws of Physics can be strange in this world- for example, gravity is a force that pulls you sideways, not down. The entire universe rotates around this world, but it's on such a massive scale, and so well hidden underneath layers of black holes, that nobody will ever know.
  • It's Dark Outside - This world was created by God as proof of his omnipotence. It wouldn't be very comprehensible to a human observer, seeing as it's filled with Escherian structures and unliftable rocks. Everyone there is a drone, serving only as a custodian, without any free will whatsoever. Some have been given wings and forced to fly through the atmosphere, endlessly singing praises of their creator. So, the custodian responsible for the illumination has been acting strangely recently. Instead of the customary unending sun, the custodian has been causing the lights to dim on and off at regular intervals.
  • Inconsistencies - This world was created by God as proof of his omnipotence. Therefore, it contains several logical inconsistencies and paradoxes. The environment is practically a mishmash of forests, jungles, deserts, seas, plains, valleys, mountains, cities, villages, technoruins and practically everything you can think of. The light of four suns gives the planet constant illumination and an ever-pleasant temperature. Silicon-based life has replaced carbon-based life, and yet maintains similar bodily functions.
  • Hollow - This world was created by God as proof of his omnipotence. A world perfect in its symmetry, like an elaborate vase… and every bit as empty.
  • Risus - This world was created by God as proof of his omnipotence. The humble bumblebee is the least strange of these anomalies in this land which serves as proof not only of omnipotence, but of a rather twisted sense of humour.
  • 2D Jealousy - This world was created by God as proof of his omnipotence. It wouldn't be very comprehensible to a human observer, seeing as it's filled with Escherian structures and unliftable rocks. Inhabiting this world are strange beings that can shift from 2D existences to 3D at will and even only partly. This unusual ability makes moving past physical obstacles a task of ease; it also makes it near impossible for any one of these beings to come to harm. These non-sentient creatures are thus quite arrogant, and resented by the other strange beings inhabiting the world.
  • Redueia - This world was created by God as proof of his omnipotence. They're invincible already, though, so that's kind of unneeded.
  • Qwanzor - This world was created by God as proof of his omnipotence. It wouldn't be very comprehensible to a human observer, seeing as it's filled with Escherian structures and unliftable rocks. Inhabiting this world are strange beings that can shift from 2D existences to 3D at will and even only partly. Each has three imperatives, with which they are created and which each cannot think but to carry out: to preserve one of the objects in this divine museum; to destroy one of the other objects; and not to kill any of their fellows in the process. Thus being these beings coexist in perfect harmony humans are often incapable of.
  • Escher's Ballet - This world was created by God as proof of his omnipotence. By a strange and humorous twist, the endless dance they do around each other will lead to every single object remaining intact for all eternity.

This planet seems to be like a life version of Conway's Game Of Life.
  • Game Of Crash - This planet seems to be like a life version of Conway's Game Of Life. This is because the religion of the intelligent lifeforms of this planet includes the idea that Conway's rules govern which areas of the planet may be inhabited each year. The simulation is rapidly decreasing in population, however, meaning that the inhabitants have less and less land to live in by these rules. In two areas at opposite ends of the planet, two groups of inhabitants have independently created 'spaceships', self-perpetuating patterns that appear to move across the screen, and these are currently moving towards each other. And Game Of Life doesn't even have rules for a spaceship crash!

A new, dynamic school of philosophy has ascended in the Ytani Empire, which is currently the most powerful active nation in the universe.
  • Cycle - A new, dynamic school of philosophy has ascended in the Ytani Empire, which is currently the most powerful active nation in the universe. The philosophy denies the possibility of events in the world causing other events in the world. Political advisors, believing in this new philosophy, argue that slothfulness is the key to preserving the empire. Opposition to this philosophy has begun to spring up. One such opposition movement are the Quebash, who in response have engaged in fervent reactionary anti-intellectual rhetoric.
  • Any Objections? - A new, dynamic school of philosophy has ascended in the Ytani Empire, which is currently the most powerful active nation in the universe. The philosophy denies the possibility of events in the world causing other events in the world. This has caught on in the senate; the Empress and the House of Commons, as well as the planetary assemblies, pretend to be greatly troubled by this development, but they are actually glad it has caught on to the extent it has, as it removes a barrier to their own respective goals. With the intelligentsia lulled into inaction, a major obstacle to the reactionary accruement of power has been removed. Opposition to the wishes of the Empress and her advisers is now silenced by taking a vote whether or not to execute the dissenter, a vote usually ignored by the followers of this philosophy.
  • Diligent Underground - A new, dynamic school of philosophy has ascended in the Ytani Empire, which is currently the most powerful active nation in the universe. The philosophy denies the possibility of events in the world causing other events in the world. Political advisors, believing in this new philosophy, argue that slothfulness is the key to preserving the empire. Opposition to this philosophy has begun to spring up. This sect is growing quickly: its voice growing prominent in public, and its influence swelling at an even greater speed beneath the surface.
  • Shadow Movement - A new, dynamic school of philosophy has ascended in the Ytani Empire, which is currently the most powerful active nation in the universe. As such, the barriers to the parties that lurk in the shadows have also been removed.
  • Around - A new, dynamic school of philosophy has ascended in the Ytani Empire, which is currently the most powerful active nation in the universe. Flying schools would soon be the most practical mode of transportation in the empire. It is the goal of the Empire to make it so all other modes of transportation will become obsolete: the buildings and structures will simply move to the citizens. This has given the guildmen in charge of operating the new system much more power. Their only opposition is in the Dynamicists in academia.
  • Flying Colours - A new, dynamic school of philosophy has ascended in the Ytani Empire, which is currently the most powerful active nation in the universe. Flying schools would soon be the most practical mode of transportation in the empire somehow. It is the goal of the Empire to make it so all other modes of transportation will become obsolete: the buildings and structures will simply move to the citizens. This has given the guildmen in charge of operating the new system much more power. The Empress has attempted to introduce legislation to deregulate this systems operation in the hope of restricting the monopoly owned by the flight guild, but has met with little success due to influential guild lobbying among the House of Representatives.
  • Flying Bricks - A new, dynamic school of philosphy has ascended in the Ytani Empire, which is currently the most powerful active nation in the universe. Flying schools would soon be the most practical mode of transportation in the empire somehow. It is the goal of the Empire to make it so all other modes of transportation will become obsolete: the buildings and structures will simply move to the citizens. This school has been greatly endorsed by the fuel industry, who stand to exponentially increase their profits if and when it catches on. It is opposed by the automotives industry and, surprisingly, may fast-food outlets, who profit from people driving individually.
  • Causality - A new, dynamic school of philosophy has ascended in the Ytani Empire, which is currently the most powerful active nation in the universe. With people increasingly distanced from events in the world, fewer object to their rampant militarism. This is bad news for the Divine Galaxy.
  • Irony - A new, dynamic school of philosophy has ascended in the Ytani Empire, which is currently the most powerful active nation in the universe. With people increasingly distanced from events in the world, fewer object to their rampant militarism. Spies from other countries have noted this, and their respective nations have begun to follow suit.

There's a reason why everyone occasionally shivers when it isn't cold.
  • Phantom World - There's a reason why everyone occasionally shivers when it isn't cold. Perpendicular to every other universe lies the phantom universe. The inhabitants of neither know of the other's existence, but each is the cause of small-scale anomalies in the other. Not just shivers, but useless premonitions, deja vu, and other assorted psychological effects. Thankfully, neither universe will ever detect the other.
  • Layers - There's a reason why everyone occasionally shivers when it isn't cold. Perpendicular to every other universe lies the phantom universe. The inhabitants of neither know of the other's existence, but each is the cause of small-scale anomalies in the other. Whenever someone on the phantom side dies, the echoes are felt by one person in each of the real universes. Whenever someone on the real side dies, a phantom disappears to places unknown.
  • Sideways - There's a reason why everyone occasionally shivers when it isn't cold. Perpendicular to every other universe lies the phantom universe. When you shiver, it signals another death of one of your counterparts by a creature you from this dark reflection of creation. This being the case, realities are connected loosely and thus you may sometimes catch a glimpse of an eerie, creepy, haunting phantom, shadow or soul projection of someone. And occasionally, when you hear of an unexplained death on the radio, these are the causes.
  • Echoes - There's a reason why everyone occasionally shivers when it isn't cold. Perpendicular to every other universe lies the phantom universe. The inhabitants of neither know of the other's existence, but each is the cause of small-scale anomalies in the other. Whenever someone on the phantom side dies, the echoes are felt by one person in each of the real universes. In extreme cases, it can even cause dreams of the other person's death.

On plateau in an endless series of canyons, lies a great, flawless glass pyramid.
  • Contrast - On plateau in an endless series of canyons, lies a great, flawless glass pyramid. From each of its' four sides, you can see the same image- that of an alien sky, red, with blue clouds. However, in reality, the sky is perfectly normal, but the ground is purple. The pyramid in fact stands on the border between reality and the Phantom World. At night, the pyramid shoots a bright eerie light into the sky, filling the canyons with unearthly shadows.
  • It's Just You - On plateau in an endless series of canyons, lies a great, flawless glass pyramid. From each of its' four sides, you can see the same image- that of an alien sky, red, with blue clouds. However, in reality, the sky is perfectly normal, but the ground is purple. The pyramid in fact stands on the border between reality and the Phantom World. The colors of the planet are an effect of the filters your mind puts up in certain artificial situations, such as the one created by this pyramid.
  • Maximum Insecurity - On a plateau in an endless series of canyons, lies a great, flawless glass pyramid. It houses the last remaining life in the whole area. It is carefully guarded by hovering airships and forts built throughout the canyons, but there is a weakness in the pyramid's defenses. For all their lethality, the defenses are controlled by intelligences that long ago forgot the purpose of their existence. If it came to it, they would be willing to destroy the pyramid itself to stop a perceived attack, making them possibly a greater threat to the life's continued existence than anything outside.
  • Just A Shell - On plateau in an endless series of canyons, lies a great, flawless glass pyramid. It houses the last remaining life in the whole area. The glass is treated to only allow in visible, nurturing, and not harmful UV radiation from the stars. The pyramid hovers over the landscape slowly yet with menacing determination, like it was a sentient object with infinite intelligence and capacity to understand the reality around it. But as a matter of fact, it's simply programmed into an endless, enormously complex loop.
  • Steampunk Eden - On a plateau in an endless series of canyons, lies a great, flawless glass pyramid. It houses the last remaining life in the whole area. It is carefully guarded by hovering airships and forts built throughout the canyons, but there is a weakness in the pyramid's defenses. For all their lethality, the defenses are controlled by intelligences that long ago forgot the purpose of their existence. Their purpose is to make sure nobody catches a cold.

A tree grows in the desert.
  • Swarm - A tree grows in the desert. It is the only source of life within miles of this vast wasteland. Unfortunately, due to an insect infestation, it is dying. The insects are actually lesser dieties. They are preparing the way for greater deities, which are being prevented from entering by the tree.
  • A Scourge Grows In The Desert - A tree grows in the desert. It is the only source of life within miles of this vast wasteland. Unfortunately, due to an insect infestation, it is dying. The insects are not a colony form, but a large number of individuals that have all happened to gather at the same place. It is unknown how they all reached this remote place, but some say they fell of an enormous flying creature.
  • Death too soon - A tree grows in the desert. It is the only source of life within miles of this vast wasteland. Unfortunately, due to an insect infestation, it is dying. The insects are not a colony form, but a large number of individuals that have all happened to gather at the same place. These insects will soon kill off the tree, leaving them with no source of life to keep this miniature ecosystem going.
  • (Untitled) - A tree grows in the desert. It is the only source of life within miles of this vast wasteland. This tree can survive because it's photosynthesis does not include water. Instead, it draws on the oxygen and hydrogen found in chemical bonds in the special sand of this desert. The desert lies in an enormous valley in a gigantic mountain that forms 2/3 of the mass of a whole planet.

In the middle of a forest on an otherwise insignificant planet is a small stone shrine, containing a small clock.
  • Temporal Nature - In the middle of a forest on an otherwise insignificant planet is a small stone shrine, containing a small clock. This clock has the ability to make everyone who touches it 10 years younger. However, this comes with a price: those that use it die the minute they reach the age they were when they touched the clock. The caretaker is a young boy of perhaps thirteen; he was appointed for this task millennia ago by his tribe, when he turned ninety, and every decade and a day shorter he touches the clock again. Strangely, none of the guardians has ever reached their lethal age, they all seem to fade into the forest beforehand.
  • Yug - In the middle of a forest on an otherwise insignificant planet is a small stone shrine, containing a small clock. There is nothing obviously special about it; yet it never breaks down, has no apparent power source, and measures time perfectly, down to the Planck second. It's also stuck down to the stone by a mysterious force for unknown reasons. As well as sticking the clock to the stone, the force also curses anyone that attempts to remove the clock. Said curse includes rapid aging, immortality without youth, lack of aging, and obsession with punctuality which completely alienates the cursed from their friends and family.
  • Tick - In the middle of a forest on an otherwise insignificant planet is a small stone shrine, containing a small clock. There is nothing obviously special about it; yet it never breaks down, has no apparent power source, and measures time perfectly, down to the Planck second. The clock's origin is also unknown; it and the shrine have existed for as long as the forest's inhabitants have kept written records. The only hint is that the oral legends speak of a time when time itself went mad, only to suddenly be repaired. All that is known is that the clock must not be damaged, for fear of dire consequences.
  • Tick...Tock...Tick...Tock - In the middle of a forest on an otherwise insignificant planet is a small stone shrine, containing a small clock. There is nothing obviously special about it; yet it never breaks down, has no apparent power source, and measures time perfectly, down to the Planck second. The clock's origin is also unknown; it and the shrine have existed for as long as the forest's inhabitants have kept written records. In fact, the second that they invented written word the shrine and clock appeared. There is a small alarm on the clock, and time is very slowly ticking down to the moment it will start ringing...
  • Macca - In the middle of a forest on an otherwise insignificant planet is a small stone shrine, containing a small clock. The clock has become a frequent site for religious pilgrims from all over space.
  • call/cc - In the middle of a forest on an otherwise insignificant planet is a small stone shrine, containing a small clock. That, and, of all things, a simple initialism scratched on the back by no usual hand - CC.
  • Time Bomb - In the middle of a forest on an otherwise insignificant planet is a small stone shrine, containing a small clock. There is nothing obviously special about it; yet it never breaks down, has no apparent power source, and measures time perfectly, down to the Planck second. It's also stuck down to the stone by a mysterious force for unknown reasons. The clock has become a focal point for several local religions. It is due to its importance that the tentative peace between cults is maintained.
  • A Moment More - In the middle of a forest on an otherwise insignificant planet is a small stone shrine, containing a small clock. This clock has the ability to make everyone who touches it 10 years younger. However, this comes with a price: those that use it die the minute they reach the age they were when they touched the clock. This is almost entirely used by the excessively vain, and the excessively sneaky. It is only a matter of time before a person attempts to cheat time twice.
  • Time Of All Life - In the middle of a forest on an otherwise insignificant planet is a small stone shrine, containing a small clock. It is the clock that keeps the time of the universe and the forest inhabitants are its destined caretakers.

Many people are unaware of the secret worlds, lying dormant beneath Yggdrassil.
  • What Lies Beneath - Many people are unaware of the secret worlds, lying dormant beneath Yggdrassil. Entangled amongst the roots of the great tree, far deeper than even the Döckalfar dared to dig, dwells another race. They have creepy vague resemblance to human beings despite having a completely different physiology and likely not even grasping the concept of language. Down there is also a second race, half fish, half man, all creepy. Fortunately, they have no knowledge of humanity's existence, so they are no threat.
  • Underplanet - Many people are unaware of the secret worlds, lying dormant beneath Yggdrassil. Entangled amongst the roots of the great tree, far deeper than even the Döckalfar dared to dig, dwells another race. They've lived in the pitch black for so long that they've gone completely blind, and use sonar to sense their way around the caverns. In this world, there is no true "surface", nor indeed any true "up" in which one might expect to find it. This second race is known as the Seltzkar, and occasionally come to the surface and kidnap Döckalfar for purposes unknown.
  • Bane of the Human Existence - Many people are unaware of the secret worlds, lying dormant beneath Yggdrassil. These creepy fishmen are the guardians of their part of Yggdrassil, and when they last failed to do their duty, Yggdrassil contracted a disease in its roots, and the worlds trembled.
  • Endarkened - Many people are unaware of the secret worlds, lying dormant beneath Yggdrassil. Instead, this race worships the so-called "core" of their world, which is nothing more than a primitive myth thought up by the uncivilized inhabitants of this flat world.
  • Timber - Many people are unaware of the secret worlds, lying dormant beneath Yggdrassil. These creepy fishmen are the guardians of their part of Yggdrassil, and when they last failed to do their duty, Yggdrassil contracted a disease in its roots, and the worlds trembled. Lately, enormous termites have begun to scuttle among the roots, gnawing away at the great tree bit by bit...

This universe is ruled by vast psychic intelligences that use mind control to lead the lesser beings living on the universe's planets.
  • The Seven - This universe is ruled by vast psychic intelligences that use mind control to lead the lesser beings living on the universe's planets. These intelligences look exactly like all the lesser beings, only different in their intelligence (duh). However, one galaxy has developed without the control of the psychics, and the godlike AIs which control its military have just detected the vast psychic fields emanating from the rest of the universe. The underlings of this universe are seven armed, Green-skinned women. These seven women are going to, for no particular reason, kill the psychics.
  • Excersyzygy - This universe is ruled by vast psychic intelligences that use mind control to lead the lesser beings living on the universe's planets. These intelligences look exactly like all the lesser beings, only different in their intelligence (duh). However, one galaxy has developed without the control of the psychics, and the godlike AIs which control its military have just detected the vast psychic fields emanating from the rest of the universe. Unable to control the probes of the A Is, they have resorted to greatly distorting what they sense. The distortion wrongly informs the psychic probes of a large and abnormal absence of anything in a galaxy-sized expanse of space.
  • Force - This universe is ruled by vast psychic intelligences that use mind control to lead the lesser beings living on the universe's planets. These intelligences look exactly like all the lesser beings, only different in their intelligence (duh). However, one galaxy has developed without the control of the psychics, and the godlike AIs which control its military have just detected the vast psychic fields emanating from the rest of the universe. The psychic fields occasionally pulse violently scattering planets and sometimes entire solar systems. And the AI want to see if there are military applications for this strange natural phenomenon...
  • The Insignificant Ones - This universe is ruled by vast psychic intelligences that use mind control to lead the lesser beings living on the universe's planets. These intelligences look exactly like all the lesser beings, only different in their intelligence (duh). However, one galaxy has developed without the control of the psychics, and the godlike AIs which control its military have just detected the vast psychic fields emanating from the rest of the universe. Unable to control the probes of the AIs, they have resorted to greatly distorting what they sense. As a result, much of the outside world believes the psychic fields are created by hostile entities, and fear the day when they discover their galaxy.
  • Rule Or Die - This universe is ruled by vast psychic intelligences that use mind control to lead the lesser beings living on the universe's planets. These intelligences look exactly like all the lesser beings, only different in their intelligence (duh). Unrecognized they walk among them, all across the universe. The hidden politics of this enormous and complicated shadowy organization have little effect on the normal people of the universe, with leadership of the organization decided through the regional tournament for an (unpopular) game of chance. The main reason for the game's unpopularity is that losers are usually put to death in a variety of painful ways.
  • Intelligentsia - This universe is ruled by vast psychic intelligences that use mind control to lead the lesser beings living on the universe's planets. These intelligences look exactly like all the lesser beings, only different in their intelligence (duh). Unrecognized they walk among them, all across the universe. Unbeknownst to them, they are themselves controlled by unfathomably greater intellects. Vast, cool, and unsympathetic, these greater beings are native to the universe, but have survived its destruction and hope to also survive its creation.
  • Maur - This universe is ruled by vast psychic intelligences that use mind control to lead the lesser beings living on the universe's planets. These beings have no true sense of right or wrong and see morality as an obstruction to their reign. Their objectives are instead guided by blood and dust - each seeks to bring as many material or informational objects as possible to destruction by violence, rather than by morbid decay. They, however, are nearly completely powerless. so not many people worry. Their memories are randomly remembered and forgotten; and sometimes the memories aren't even their own, so they're easy to confuse.

This world is all that remains of a once complex and perfectly formed galaxy, since torn apart by unfathomable disaster.
  • The Price Of War - This world is all that remains of a once complex and perfectly formed galaxy, since torn apart by unfathomable disaster. It was carefully crafted to remain stable, cycling precisely and continuously on uncountable levels, by an ancient and eldritch artisan. Their reasoning is mysterious, because the world has no intelligent life. It has therefore become the battleground between the Rats and the Ytani Empire as a matter of religious difference. There war might devastate this last spot of life in this destroyed part of the cosmos.
  • Perfectly Useless - This world is all that remains of a once complex and perfectly formed galaxy, since torn apart by unfathomable disaster. It was carefully crafted to remain stable, cycling precisely and continuously on uncountable levels, by an ancient and eldritch artisan. Their reasoning is mysterious, because the world has no intelligent life. On a macrocosm scale, it would appear that it was once a highly complex machine. Finely crafted to accomplish nothing - perfect waste of time in every sense of the word.

This world's inhabitants are quite technologically advanced, but never had any industrial revolution.
  • Al Ki Ja - This world's inhabitants are quite technologically advanced, but never had any industrial revolution. Neither is their development based on any form of magic; instead it is fueled by fantastic clockwork energy storage devices and an abundance of rivers. Steam powered robots do most of the manual work. Lacking a chemical industry, such things as farming and metallurgy lag behind the rest of their achievements. Medicine, too, is still based to a great extent on superstition and abductive logic.
  • Like Clockwork - This world's inhabitants are quite technologically advanced, but never had any industrial revolution. Neither is their development based on any form of magic; instead it is fueled by fantastic clockwork energy storage devices and an abundance of rivers. Steam powered robots do most of the manual work. Lacking a chemical industry, such things as farming and metallurgy lag behind the rest of their achievements. Despite this their world runs more smoothly than others and is startingly environmentally friendly.
  • A Dark Age Comes - This world's inhabitants are quite technologically advanced, but never had any industrial revolution. As a result, most technology in this world is in the hands of private individuals that have built it themselves and use it entirely for their own benefit. These individuals jealously guard their devices, only letting it be used by a select few. There is, however, a group of about 500 assassinating everyone hogging potent technologies. The technology hold by those who are killed is lost forever, and so this world might face a new dark age at the hand of this killers.
  • Big Brother Reborn - This world's inhabitants are quite technologically advanced, but never had any industrial revolution. As a result, most technology in this world is in the hands of private individuals that have built it themselves and use it entirely for their own benefit. These individuals jealously guard their devices, only letting it be used by a select few. There is, however, a group of about 500 assassinating everyone hogging potent technologies. This group acts out of totalitarian megalomania.

The planet is a teratoma-like mass of flesh and hair, that bleeds when injured.
  • I'm afraid, Dave. Dave, my mind is going. - The planet is a teratoma-like mass of flesh and hair, that bleeds when injured. Once sentient, its brain function has decayed so much over the many years of its existence that it's now effectively dead. The surface emits lethal electrical charges whenever someone tries to colonize it. These are as fatal to robots as they are to squishy life, meaning that the planet will ever drift through space alone. Just before it slipped out of sentience, it sent off a few psychic messages to its neighbors, but they all went unanswered.
  • Biogeology - The planet is a teratoma-like mass of flesh and hair, that bleeds when injured. Once sentient, its brain function has decayed so much over the many years of its existence that it is now effectively dead. Once in a while, asteroid-sized clumps of bacteria smash into the planet's surface, where they are consumed by the billion mouths and tongues. If you were to travel down into the planet's center, you would find a perfect sphere made of saliva. It is this reservoir that the creature draws on to digest its food.
  • Goriangor - The planet is a teratoma-like mass of flesh and hair, that bleeds when injured. Once sentient, its brain function has decayed so much over the many years of its existence that it is now effectively dead. Once in a while, asteroid-sized clumps of bacteria smash into the planet's surface, where they are consumed by the billion mouths and tongues. Its defenses against the countless parasites that feed off it were once monitored by its mind, but without it things have been getting out of control. In the clutches of its hairy jungles dwell phantom beings that are projections of its semblances of sentience.
  • Extreme Omnivore - The planet is a teratoma-like mass of flesh and hair, that bleeds when injured. This planet now devours everything, and given time it may even stumble across a way to devour itself.
  • Pain - The planet is a teratoma-like mass of flesh and hair, that bleeds when injured. The blood itself comes from symbiotic organisms scattered throughout the planet, fed by it. Some of these organisms have reached a very low level of sentience, and are capable of comprehending the nature of their world. Deep in the core of the planet, they are forming a primitive brain. It is only a matter of time before they form a Hive Mind, one that can truly comprehend the pain its home suffers.
  • Age - The planet is a teratoma-like mass of flesh and hair, that bleeds when injured. The blood itself comes from symbiotic organisms scattered throughout the planet, fed by it. Parasites feed on these organisms, although not the planet itself. The ecosystem is grotesque and elegant: an almost perfect balance. But ever so slowly, energy is lost by the ecosystem, since no system can resist entropy forever.
  • Cycles - The planet is a teratoma-like mass of flesh and hair, that bleeds when injured. The blood itself comes from symbiotic organisms scattered throughout the planet, fed by it. Some of these organisms have reached a very low level of sentience, and are capable of comprehending the nature of their world. A belief that upon death they are rejoined with the world is a common influence on primitive religious thought. It is this base recognition of nature's cycles that signifies the first step on the path to civilization.
  • Catatonia - The planet is a teratoma-like mass of flesh and hair, that bleeds when injured. In this sphere are the remains of a spacecraft and traces of the lethal poison it once contained.
  • Raeten - The planet is a teratoma-like mass of flesh and hair, that bleeds when injured. Once sentient, its brain function has decayed so much over the many years of its existence that it's now effectively dead. The surface emits lethal electrical charges whenever someone tries to colonize it. These are as fatal to robots as they are to squishy life, meaning that the planet will ever drift through space alone. It seems to have a dislike of loneliness as a remaining semblance of former sentience.

In an empire in a land filled with the ruins of a once great civilization, a civil war ravages the land.
  • Better the Devil You Know - In an empire in a land filled with the ruins of a once great civilization, a civil war ravages the land. This war is happening at 5 other locations across time, because time travel actually caused this civil war. The ancient ruins are actually highly advanced time machines, scattered across the time stream. All the countless wormholes opened by time traveling have shattered the barrier between the normal space-time continuum and an incomprehensible, eerie divine realm populated by beings formed from twisted collective subconscious ideas. These eldritch beings, dormant for so long, now ready themselves to join the war while humanity remains ignorant to the terrors it has now unleashed.
  • Gammafrey - In an empire in a land filled with the ruins of a once great civilization, a civil war ravages the land. This war is happening at 5 other locations across time, because time travel actually caused this civil war. The ancient ruins are actually highly advanced time machines, scattered across the time stream. In desperation, one side is planning to split the timestream into a constantly increasing number of dimensions, allowing them to force a stalemate. The dimensions themselves, however, have given rise to potentially infinite variations on this side, ending their current war only by starting an even greater and more costly one.

In this world humans can not only upload their profiles onto the internet but their very consciousness.
  • Wave - In this world humans can not only upload their profiles onto the internet but their very consciousness. It's possible to have a limited range of influence on the technology, but it also opens you up to it transforming your mind. Some unscrupulous hackers have even developed ways to harvest uploaded consciousnesses, allowing them uncontrolled access to users' thoughts. Due to this, 90% of PS As are about not uploading your conscious without supervision and Linkara's having trouble reviewing all the comics about them. Some consciousnesses have even been lost altogether, their presence only indicated by trace interactions.
  • I Don't Even Watch That Show - In this world humans can not only upload their profiles onto the internet but their very consciousness. It's possible to have a limited range of influence on the technology, but it also opens you up to it transforming your mind. Some unscrupulous hackers have even developed ways to harvest uploaded consciousnesses, allowing them uncontrolled access to users' thoughts. Due to this, 90% of PSAs are about not uploading your conscious without supervision and Linkara's having trouble reviewing all the comics about them. Luckily, she can duplicate her consciousness to get more work done in parallel.
  • The Brain Market - In this world humans can not only upload their profiles onto the internet but their very consciousness. These consciousnesses are stored in a vast databases, protected by many layers of physical and virtual security. Nevertheless, some loose groups of hackers have been infiltrating these databases. A stolen brain map can be perverted towards any number of highly illegal and highly profitable activities. In some extreme cases, the brain maps themselves can be controlled, and innocent people forced into virtual slavery.
  • The Sphere - In this world humans can not only upload their profiles onto the internet but their very consciousness. It's possible to have a limited range of influence on the technology, but it also opens you up to it transforming your mind. Someone who spends an extended period of time open to the internet will end up changed - but surprisingly, usually for the better. Contrary to popular belief, porn and trolling only make up a small part of the Internet, and those who spent much time on it absorb an astonishing amount of knowledge. There is a minority which chooses to steer clear of the internet. These people call themselves Anonymous.
  • Legality - In this world humans can not only upload their profiles onto the internet but their very consciousness. These consciousnesses are stored in a vast databases, protected by many layers of physical and virtual security. Nevertheless, some loose groups of hackers have been infiltrating these databases. A stolen brain map can be perverted towards any number of highly illegal and highly profitable activities. As such, the "government" has hired teams of highly advanced hackers to produce enchanced policing consciousnesses.
  • The Salesman's Paradise - In this world humans can not only upload their profiles onto the internet but their very consciousness. It's possible to have a limited range of influence on the technology, but it also opens you up to it transforming your mind. Some unscrupulous hackers have even developed ways to harvest uploaded consciousnesses, allowing them uncontrolled access to users' thoughts. The massive amount of thoughts collected from botnets are sold in huge batches, primarily to marketing companies. These are then used for subliminal marketing, with huge swathes of the population being persuaded to buy different products without ever consciously knowing why.
  • Perchance To Dream - In this world humans can not only upload their profiles onto the internet but their very consciousness. It's possible to have a limited range of influence on the technology, but it also opens you up to it transforming your mind. Someone who spends an extended period of time open to the internet will end up changed- but surprisingly, usually for the better. Some have religious experiences, while others might have flashes of scientific insight. Unfortunately, though, these experiences (being as they are a binary transmission to the brain) are completely unintelligible to everyone else.
  • The Wired - In this world humans can not only upload their profiles onto the internet but their very consciousness. The sheer difference in scale makes it difficult for them to communicate effectively with ordinary humans - let alone with each other.
  • Blip - In this world humans can not only upload their profiles onto the internet but their very consciousness. These consciousnesses are stored in a vast databases, protected by many layers of physical and virtual security. Nevertheless, some loose groups of hackers have been infiltrating these databases. A disturbing new trend has arisen among some of these groups: sleepermemes, the insertion of ideas into consciousnesses for any number of purposes, from marketing to criminal. Some have had the majority of their minds replaced with slogan programming.
  • Invirtunation - In this world humans can not only upload their profiles onto the internet but their very consciousness. And in one high-security lab, scientists funded by the Cult of the Ice have created the program to rewrite one unsuspecting sleeper into their Messiah.

Children have often wondered about what lies on the other side of the rainbow.
  • Sublime - Children have often wondered about what lies on the other side of the rainbow. Indeed, what beauty, wonder, and excitement could lie beyond it, in that far off, ever-unreachable land? To start with, light there has been inverted by the rainbow. This is part of a phenomenon in which all electromagnetic phenomena are multiplied by (-1). This produces a world both utterly incomprehensible and beautiful.
  • The Invisible World - Children have often wondered about what lies on the other side of the rainbow. Indeed, what beauty, wonder, and excitement could lie beyond it, in that far off, ever-unreachable land? To start with, light there has been inverted by the rainbow. This is part of a phenomenon in which all electromagnetic phenomena are multiplied by (-1). Unfortunately, the human eye has not developed to sense this inverted electromagnetism, so if they found a way there they would just see a black void.
  • Alkaju - Children have often wondered about what lies on the other side of the rainbow. Indeed, what beauty, wonder, and excitement could lie beyond it, in that far off, ever-unreachable land? To start with, light there has been inverted by the rainbow. Its citizens are simple, but happy folks. They enjoy pleasant, wholesome pasttimes such as cannibalism, coprophilia, and football.
  • Khqrilq' - Children have often wondered about what lies on the other side of the rainbow. Many expeditions have been sent out, such as the famed Grand Red Wagon Investigation. But what was really great, really terrible, was what came back with these expeditions. Then everyone got confused at this mangle of the English language and everyone explored the end of the rainbow. Soon afterwards, the drugs wore off.
  • The Dollar - Children have often wondered about what lies on the other side of the rainbow. Many expeditions have been sent out, such as the famed Grand Red Wagon Investigation. The only one that was ever heard from again was the Blurpleberry Expedition. The three surviving members of this group told of unimaginable horrors: mile high demonic teddy bears, beasts made of razor sharp crayons, and birthday present bugs than devoured you alive. They also say a single dollar bill lays in the center of the land, and many have lost their lives to retrieving it.
  • The Punishment - Children have often wondered about what lies on the other side of the rainbow. The truth is, they really may not want to know. Skeletal, withered hands, an eyeless face, a cold voice resembling that of the worst kind of schoolyard bully and a hometown populated with figuratively and literally brainless idiots are indications that this predator has a game rigged wholly in his favor. They if you listen, when the rainbow is just about gone, so very carefully, you can hear the wailing of children. Children are taken there not because of anything they've done, but because of the sins of their parents.
  • Dis - Children have often wondered about what lies on the other side of the rainbow. The truth is, they really may not want to know. Skeletal, withered hands, an eyeless face, a cold voice resembling that of the worst kind of schoolyard bully and a hometown populated with figuratively and literally brainless idiots are indications that this predator has a game rigged wholly in his favor. Those unlucky few who do make it to the other side find themselves trapped in this nightmare city until they too become a part of it. Those who fail to arrive have their souls disintegrated into elementary waveforms, completely removing them from existence.
  • Phlegethon - Children have often wondered about what lies on the other side of the rainbow. Skin-less freaks known as Ghasts who patrol the city looking for young children to grab and pull past the rainbow veil.
  • The Darkside Of The Rainbow - Children have often wondered about what lies on the other side of the rainbow. It on them, until even this empty shell is gone.
  • Childhood Warped - Children have often wondered about what lies on the other side of the rainbow. Many expeditions have been sent out, such as the famed Grand Red Wagon Investigation. The only one that was ever heard from again was the Blurpleberry Expedition. The three surviving members of this group told of unimaginable horrors: mile high demonic teddy bears, beasts made of razor sharp crayons, and birthday present bugs that devoured you alive. It had no inhabitants.
  • Somewhere... - Children have often wondered about what lies on the other side of the rainbow. It's said that anyone who hears this sound can never look at a rainbow without crying again.
  • Wordwraps - Children have often wondered about what lies on the other side of the rainbow. Many expeditions have been sent out, such as the famed Grand Red Wagon Investigation. The only one that was ever heard from again was the Blurpleberry Expedition. Those who returned came back half mad, being able to recall everything from their ordinary lives in perfect detail but speaking in tongues and riddles of anything beyond the rainbow. Teams of linguists have been so far unable to decipher what they have said, although from the little they have deciphered, there appears to be crocodiles and jellybeans somewhere within the city.
  • Idionature - Children have often wondered about what lies on the other side of the rainbow. Among the few possessions they brought back with them was a mysterious vase of a never-before-seen hue; flowers that are grown from it mature slowly and become particularly brilliant once they bloom.

This planet has seven moons, one in each color of the rainbow.
  • Ospyra - This planet has seven moons, one in each color of the rainbow. Down in the futuristic high-tech, chromed cities' as-of-yet-unchromed, grim subsectors several large quasi-religious groups more fanatically dedicated to the ideals of the paradise than the ruling overlords would wish gather together irregularly in secret, waiting for the Seven Saviors to descend from the moons. These religions were started relatively recently, yet they are now the planet's dominant cultural force. These Saviors are said to come down, each with an item to be used together and create a path to ascendance. Stories not unnoticed by the more ambitious rulers of the land.
  • The Sacred Seven - This planet has seven moons, one in each color of the rainbow. What will happen after this has been achieved, however, is disputed by various groups.
  • Lemony Tang - This planet has seven moons, one in each color of the rainbow. These rainbow religions have daily parades in honor of their gods.
  • Ironin - This planet has seven moons, one in each color of the rainbow. It is believed that these saviors will cleanse the planet of the "unworthy" and the "filthy", leaving only the most pious of souls. Piety is typically shown by the creation of secret, technological shrines. As it turns out, these Saviors are actually all about technologies of any type.
  • Adorameia - This planet has seven moons, one in each color of the rainbow. It is believed that these saviours will cleanse the planet of the "unworthy" and the "filthy", leaving only the most pious of souls. The definition of what it means to be pious varies between groups, however, with many believing that only they will be spared while rival groups will perish. The overlords are frequently slandered as malicious entities, which they have recruited spy rings for to keep an eye on these secret groups for them as well as possible.
  • Quasgun - This planet has seven moons, one in each color of the rainbow. It is believed that these saviors will cleanse the planet of the "unworthy" and the "filthy", leaving only the most pious of souls. Piety is typically shown by the creation of secret, technological shrines. These cults were perhaps counterintuitively started originally by astronomers.

The world is governed by three gods - one omniscient, one omnipotent, and one omnipresent.
  • Xiflegq - The world is governed by three gods - one omniscient, one omnipotent, and one omnipresent. But neither can communicate with the other one. The closest They come is the interactions of Their intermediaries with mortals. The omniscient one, Kara, is frustrated by Her inability to talk to the only other two who can understand Her. The omnipotent one, Kara, could communicate with the other two, if She was aware They existed.
  • Loggerhead - The world is governed by three gods - one omniscient, one omnipotent, and one omnipresent. But neither can communicated with the other one. The closest they come is the interactions of their intermediaries with mortals. Recently, tensions have been rising because of failures in communication. Fort each believes that their radically different plans have been accepted by the others, when they do not even know of them.
  • Three Wise Monkeys - The world is governed by three gods - one omniscient, one omnipotent, and one omnipresent. But neither can communicated with the other one. The closest they come is the interactions of their intermediaries with mortals. Recently, tensions have been rising because of failures in communication. If left unchecked, this could evolve into outright war, with each god mobilising against an unknown other.
  • A Theological Exercise - The world is governed by three gods - one omniscient, one omnipotent, and one omnipresent. But neither can communicated with the other one. The closest they come is the interactions of their intermediaries with mortals. Recently, tensions have been rising because of failures in communication. Adherents of various religions have begun to worry that what they assume to be one god is losing its mind.
  • The Vanity Of The Gods - The world is governed by three gods - one omniscient, one omnipotent, and one omnipresent. They were originally merely aspects of the same god, but one day they split apart and start to become more independent. However, one is becoming jealous of the other two. This is because this one god (omniscient) knows that their hair looks worse than the other two. To correct this, they plan to style the hair of others into beehives.
  • Cain - The world is governed by three gods - one omniscient, one omnipotent, and one omnipresent. They were originally merely aspects of the same god, but one day they split apart and start to become more independent. However, one is becoming jealous of the other two. As it is omniscient and knows exactly how powerful the others are, it has started to desire their powers for itself. It's been isolating itself for the past few hunded years, devoloping a plan on how to do this.
  • Sorean - The world is governed by three gods - one omniscient, one omnipotent, and one omnipresent. They were originally merely aspects of the same god, but one day they split apart and start to become more independent. Since then, their power has been growing steadily as they each amass their own armies. They have no other way to fight, as their origin renders them unable to affect or watch each other. It also seems that with pretty much nothing being out of their grasp, they've subconsciously created an another entity able to battle with them.
  • Holy Infinity - The world is governed by three gods - one omniscient, one omnipotent, and one omnipresent. They were originally merely aspects of the same god, but one day they split apart and start to become more independent. Since then, their power has been growing steadily as they each amass their own armies. They have no other way to fight, as their origin renders them unable to affect or watch each other. Just as it does every cycle, this war will lead to the obliteration of this world, since no third has enough pieces of the puzzle to stop it.
  • Complacency - The world is governed by three gods - one omniscient, one omnipotent, and one omnipresent. They were originally merely aspects of the same god, but one day they split apart and start to become more independent. Since then, their power has been growing steadily as they each amass their own armies. Following from this, an omnipotent god has gotten lazy and simply wished his opponents away, only allowing the omniscient one to save his premonition for humans and the omnipresent one to run around dealing with his brother's atrocities before dying himself because this would spice up everyone's colossally boring life. Without anyone to moderate the other two gods the world has begun to fall into disrepair.
  • 5 Severing Ties - The world is governed by three gods - one omniscient, one omnipotent, and one omnipresent. They were originally merely aspects of the same god, but one day they split apart and start to become more independent. Since then, their power has been growing steadily as they each amass their own armies. They only thing that keeps them at bay are their priest. However, the current priest is dying and his apprentices have allied themselves with separate gods... with no intention of sharing power.
  • The Voices Of The Gods - The world is governed by three gods - one omniscient, one omnipotent, and one omnipresent. But neither can communicate with the other one. They only way they can speak is through their chief priests, men and women chosen and trained from birth to communicate with the gods. This can be a hazardous occupation, as looking at any of the gods directly is enough to drive a person insane. As such, all prophets are welded inside Suits of Sensory Deprevation so as to protect them from a surprise visit from on high.
  • Second-Degree - The world is governed by three gods - one omniscient, one omnipotent, and one omnipresent. But neither can communicate with the other one. They only way they can speak is through their chief priests, men and women chosen and trained from birth to communicate with the gods. This can be a hazardous occupation, as looking at any of the gods directly is enough to drive a person insane. Temples are elaborate constructions of mirrors, water, prisms, and smoke.

On this world, the gods walk among the mortals.
  • DUEL - On this world, the gods walk among the mortals. These gods range from perfectly human-resembling to utterly bizarre and foreign and they exist regardless of possible followers or their faith. They occasionally have children with mortals and animals, leading to partially divine bloodlines among the world's inhabitants. But if one of those demi-god children wants to archive true, divine power, it has to challenge a full god to a duel. These duels are incredibly violent, and can destroy entire portions of the world.

The world is one giant city, where superheroes and villains constantly battle it out.
  • New York - The world is one giant city, where superheroes and villains constantly battle it out. It began with a couple of skirmishes between masked criminals and vigilantes in a single sector, and the conflict escalated. The conflict is fueled in part thanks to the city's planning AI, which uses the destruction to rebuild the city in accordance with its ever-changing whims. This has resulted in some odd features of the city, the most prominent of which is the Tower. Don't ask what's in the Tower.
  • Angst Of The Mighty - The world is one giant city, where superheroes and villains constantly battle it out. It began with a couple of skirmishes between masked criminals and vigilantes in a single sector, and the conflict escalated. The conflict is fueled in part thanks to the city's planning AI, which uses the destruction to rebuild the city in accordance with its ever-changing whims. So while the fearsome fight levels whole blocks, on the older battlefields bizarre structures rise towards heaven. A key component in the continuance of the conflict, as the increasingly alienated populace produces ever more unstable superbeings.
  • Sehenemenegetty - The world is one giant city, where superheroes and villains constantly battle it out. It began with a couple of skirmishes between masked criminals and vigilantes in a single sector, and the conflict escalated. Currently the heroes are winning the war, but the villains are starting to make a comeback as they gather more and more people. To stop this, some of the heroes have embarked on a radical plan: Nova, a risky, some might say crazy plan to greatly increase the amount of superpowered individuals on their side. Nova mostly involves asking normal people very nicely to become superheros.
  • City Of Mutants - The world is one giant city, where superheroes and villains constantly battle it out. To do so, they are about to flood the remaining sectors with radiation.
  • Kinderspiel - The world is one giant city, where superheroes and villains constantly battle it out. The superheroes and villains are chosen at random by an eleventh dimensional toy, carelessly abandoned by a young [most appropriate metaphor possible: child]. They are unaware that what they perceive as a battle to the death is actually mere entertainment for childish, celestial being. Of course, the current chaos is nothing compared to when it gets a playmate to join. Which is exactly what it is doing...
  • Already Had Five Sentences - The world is one giant city, where superheroes and villains constantly battle it out. The superheroes and villains are chosen at random by an eleventh dimensional toy, carelessly abandoned by a young [most appropriate metaphor possible: child]. They are unaware that what they perceive as a battle to the death is actually mere entertainment for childish, celestial being. If they ever were to in fact become aware that they were being manipulated by such a beast, one would assume the Heroes and Villains would team up to fight back against their massive oppressor. The morality and viewpoints of all would be shaken, and nobody could be certain of anything; and thus the civilization could fall if that happens.
  • Race to Destruction - The world is one giant city, where superheroes and villains constantly battle it out. There is always perfect symmetry within their ranks, even when one of them dies. This is because the two sides embody light and dark, and each hero/villain pair is a microcosm of this arrangement. Each side of a pair seeks to destory the other half, yet as soon as they kill their "twin", they die as well. Many have accepted this arrangement; however some pairs have begun to form alliances, desiring a life over this twisted raison d'être.
  • Sector 7 - The world is one giant city, where superheroes and villains constantly battle it out. It began with a couple of skirmishes between masked criminals and vigilantes in a single sector, and the conflict escalated. Currently the heroes are winning the war, but the villains are starting to make a comeback as they gather more and more people. Some of the heroes have begun to abuse their powers, all the while staying within the bounds of the flimsy laws which bind them. The few old-school heroes are fading away, being replaced by vigilantes with little respect for the people they're meant to be saving.
  • Missed It - The world is one giant city, where superheroes and villains constantly battle it out. The superheroes and villains are chosen at random by an eleventh dimensional toy, carelessly abandoned by a young [most appropriate metaphor possible: child]. Scientists of this world have been endeavouring to discover how this "toy" works and how to gain access to it. They suspect it's through a magic door that looks no different than any other door in the city. The real irony, though, is that the closest the toy comes to a manifestation that they can perceive is the door.
  • Seeming and Being - The world is one giant city, where superheroes and villains constantly battle it out. It began with a couple of skirmishes between masked criminals and vigilantes in a single sector, and the conflict escalated. Currently the heroes are winning the war, but the villains are starting to make a comeback as they gather more and more people. A charismatic leader has arisen among the heroes, despite unpleasant rumours that surround him. However charisma and goodness are two very different things, and the world now waits to see this man prove himself the saviour he seems to be.

The ocean is a gelatinous colloid that crystallises into an amber-like substance when incautiously disturbed.
  • Aggregate State - The ocean is a gelatinous colloid that crystallises into an amber-like substance when incautiously disturbed. New species of fish have begun to evolve and live in it. Cephalopods and aquatic reptiles are also present. Aquatic insects, to avoid competition with the Cephalopods and Aquatic reptiles, evolve flight. Interestingly, the atmosphere on this world has a liquid consistence.
  • Frozen - The ocean is a gelatinous colloid that crystallizes into an amber-like substance when incautiously disturbed. A few species living in it use this as a defense mechanism, leaving the ocean surface dotted with floating "frozen" predators. A meteor crashing into the ocean may create an island or a crater, depending on its magnitude and velocity. These formations sustain small ecosystems for a while, all the while gradually sinking. In 1, 000 years, if no meteors disrupt it, the mainlands will all sink into the ocean forever.
  • Amber - The ocean is a gelatinous colloid that crystallizes into an amber-like substance when incautiously disturbed. A few species living in it use this as a defense mechanism, leaving the ocean surface dotted with floating "frozen" predators. A meteor crashing into the ocean may create an island or a crater, depending on its magnitude and velocity. As for the ocean itself, few predators live within it for the speed and viciousness required to secure prey disturb the "waters" too easily. In fact, even few prey live in there- after all, how could any producers grow beneath a gelatinous ocean?
  • Stasis - The ocean is a gelatinous colloid that crystallizes into an amber-like substance when incautiously disturbed. As a result, there is little to no change in the population of this ocean.
  • Quaver - The ocean is a gelatinous colloid that crystallizes into an amber-like substance when incautiously disturbed. Massive jellyfish-like producers oscillate between the surface and the depths over the course of months, surfacing to capture sunlight and returning to the abyss to filter minerals.

This world is but an illusion, its inhabitants dreamed into existence.
  • Elgarandia - This world is but an illusion, its inhabitants dreamed into existence. Philosophers have set out to solve this ontological mystery behind the why while sages from all corners of the world have presented various plausible and strange theories. Some have come to the conclusion that the one dreaming this world can be found, and that it is one's duty to stop him from waking up. The dreamer in question is one Johnathan Blake, who has been in a coma since he was hit by a car. The ones living in this dreamed world trascend the chains of their homeworld once stepping out of it into other worlds.

Some have come to the conclusion that the one dreaming this world can be found, and that it is one's duty to stop him from waking up. The dreamer in question is one Johnathan Blake, who has been in a coma since he was hit by a car. The philosophers' limited ability to interfere with the real world is devoted to ensuring he stays stable and comatose.

Philosophers have set out to solve this ontological mystery behind the why while sages from all corners of the world have presented various plausible and strange theories. Some have come to the conclusion that the one dreaming this world can be found, and that it is one's duty to stop him from waking up. This being is, unknown to everyone else, located down a rabbit hole. And the rabbit is approaching ever closer.

Some have come to the conclusion that the one dreaming this world can be found, and that it is one's duty to stop him from waking up. The dreamer in question is one Johnathan Blake, who has been in a coma since he was hit by a car. Johnathan himself, meanwhile, exists in the dreamworld of Miss Mavis Ming.

This world is a moon of a vast gas giant, held in orbit around a dying star.
  • The Auras - This world is a moon of a vast gas giant, held in orbit around a dying star. The remaining life of this star is unknown, as is the number of planets that shall die with it. It was once home to a mighty civilization, a species who's descendants thrive throughout the galaxy to this day. But like many of Earth's animals, they return to moon for mating, once every decade. Most of them think it's tradition, but this moon is made up of extremely rare rocks that emit auras allowing the species to reproduce.

This world contains grand machines in the style of Ramón Llull's scattered throughout, built by no hand.
  • Aryustan - This world contains grand machines in the style of Ramón Llull's scattered throughout, built by no hand. Some of them float, others fly, and yet others lie on the ocean floor. This world is the main topic of study for the system's only university, where the Department of Industrial-Era Archaeology is convinced there must be some basic unifying truths or concepts to these seemingly random machines. The truth is, nature is a good engineer. Hence, the unifying concept is DNA.
  • RL - This world contains grand machines in the style of Ramón Llull's scattered throughout, built by no hand. No one understands the symbols that are inscribed upon them, but the settings of each machine seem to affect the laws of the universe, or of biology, or of sentience, in the area immediately around them. Some of these machines are worshiped as gods by those that live in their shadow, while others bring only death to those that venture near them. One group has dedicated itself to secreting them away, while another seeks to experiment upon them and master them. These machines have been ruled too powerful to use in a war situation.

Ironically, it seems that every machine brings about the opposite effect its user hoped for.
  • Means - This world contains grand machines in the style of Ramón Llull's scattered throughout, built by no hand. No one understands the symbols that are inscribed upon them, but the settings of each machine seem to affect the laws of the universe, or of biology, or of sentience, in the area immediately around them. If someone were able to interpret the strange runes that adorn the machines, it is possible that they would be able to control them. Many people are searching for the machine which controls sadness, that they may destroy it and live in everlasting happiness. Others fear that the absence of happiness, brought about by such unnatural means, would destroy all emotions.

In this world anything that is given human form can be made human.
  • Human Copyright - In this world anything that is given human form can be made human. The inverse- that any human who assumes another form or identity can be made into that object or person- is also true. The problems arise when people assume the forms of other people, and the identities of other people's objects. To counteract this, some have made attempts at giving things markings that will stay regardless of form. In turn, people have been trying to figure out how to remove or imitate these markings, in order that they can still disguise themselves as others.
  • Yashka - In this world anything that is given human form can be made human. The inverse- that any human who assumes another form or identity can be made into that object or person- is also true. The problems arise when people assume the forms of other people, and the identities of other people's objects. Because of this, biometric scans are considered unreliable and identification usually comes in the form of personalised security questions. As a result, people have to surrender vast quantities of what would be private data to security companies, and privacy is increasingly hard to come by.
  • Where is everyone? - In this world anything that is given human form can be made human. The inverse- that any human who assumes another form or identity can be made into that object or person- is also true. The problems arise when people assume the forms of other people, and the identities of other people's objects. To counteract this, some have made attempts at giving things markings that will stay regardless of form. They are being sabotaged, however, and have no way of knowing when they may be replaced...
  • Psychomorphological - In this world anything that is given human form can be made human. The inverse- that any human who assumes another form or identity can be made into that object or person- is also true. The problems arise when people assume the forms of other people, and the identities of other people's objects. Because of this, biometric scans are considered unreliable and identification usually comes in the form of personalised security questions. Spies and such usually use one of a number of religious/mental disciplines to try to turn themselves mentally into a person as well, but this can backfire.
  • Charade - In this world anything that is given human form can be made human. Indeed, in what may seem like a form of magic the shape of any particular object gives it informational properties that define how it interacts with other things. This is also true for objects that are given form of other lifeforms. This property of the world effectively kills the game of charades, as a man pretending to be a table will most probably turn, himself, into a table. It does however lead most inhabitants to have extremely strong taboos against destroying anything, since at some point it may have been a human.
  • Life, self creating - In this world anything that is given human form can be made human. Indeed, in what may seem like a form of magic the shape of any particular object gives it informational properties that define how it interacts with other things. This is also true for objects that are given form of other lifeforms. So, any handyman can be a bringer of life. which is a good thing considering this is the only method of reproduction.
  • Ridiculous Professions - In this world anything that is given human form can be made human. Indeed, in what may seem like a form of magic the shape of any particular object gives it informational properties that define how it interacts with other things. For this reason, very few people are taught how to craft so this does not get misused, and crafters are the most powerful people in society. In order to ensure the integrity of the trade those who wish to become crafters undergo five years of arduous training and many tests of willpower and moral fibre. Yes- people who wish to learn how to carve a chair are given more training than a soldier.
  • Career - In this world anything that is given human form can be made human. Those that fail at any point are forced to register with the guild and carefully monitored - lest they use the skills they have gained already for acts of great evil or great stupidity.

After a long war and subsequent trial for war crimes by the rest of the world, the small and incredibly nationalistic nation of Negraffi became the only country ever to be executed (to a man) by meteor.
  • Bad Feelings - After a long war and subsequent trial for war crimes by the rest of the world, the small and incredibly nationalistic nation of Negraffi became the only country ever to be executed (to a man) by meteor. Unbeknownst to the rest of the world, these events were set into motion by a nation of imperialistic dinosaurs bent on controlling the world's primary giraffe and emu export industry, located in Negraffi's bordering country, Lettien. The dinosaurs of Lettien are not well versed in history, and as such do not appreciate the irony of dusting a nearby country with a meteor - but some of the more spiritually in tune can be said to "Have a Bad Feeling About This". This feeling is well founded in that the penguins, the scientists who developed the meteor technology for the dinosaurs, have begun to develop their own world domination plans. Next door to even them, however, live the Wide-Mouthed Tree Frogs, who have their own dastardly plans involving jellybeans, plush toys and a death ray, built by a resident of Negraffi before they were killed.
  • Kriljum- After a long war and subsequent trial for war crimes by the rest of the world, the small and incredibly nationalistic nation of Negraffi became the only country ever to be executed (to a man) by meteor. The crater has been deliberately left as a cenotaph to their wars and cruelty. This landmark is the subject of both much awe and much hatred, with just as many pilgrimages to it as cries for its destruction. Also long buried is the machine that fired the meteors, as no one relished the prospect of it being used again. Naturally, dictators and mad scientists of all stripes are constantly trying to find it so as to hold the world to ransom.
  • Echoes of Footsteps - After a long war and subsequent trial for war crimes by the rest of the world, the small and incredibly nationalistic nation of Negraffi became the only country ever to be executed (to a man) by meteor. The legend still persists that if you visit the crater at the exact right place and time, you can hear the Negraffi national anthem being played to a backdrop of marching footsteps.

In this parallel universe, the Romans had discovered a magical yet abundant substance.
  • Roman Fate - In this parallel universe, the Romans had discovered a magical yet abundant substance. Their exploitation of this resource has created a new industry and way to pay soldiers, reducing inflation. However, they are now heading a rapid downward spiral into deflation, where consumption and demand are verging on non-existent. Hannibal leads his army across the Alps, while the Persians revolt under their new leader, Cyrus, and the Celts begin overthrowing settlements in Britannia and Gaul. Fundamentally, the discovery will only speed up the fall of the empire.
  • A World Of Steel - In this parallel universe, the Romans had discovered a magical yet abundant substance. Their exploitation of this resource has created a new industry and way to pay soldiers, reducing inflation. As a result, the Empire lasted long into the Middle Ages, spreading Christianity around Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa, and developed steam power around the time they went to war against the Mongol hordes. The Mongol hordes, however, have already encountered similar advancements in China. The Mongol's magic and gunpowder fueled semi-mechanized hordes have already ravaged Ural settlements, and now march upon Mesopotamia...

Little do the Romans know, hidden amongst the bright and beautiful fireworks of the East, gunpowder was being put to more militant purposes.

  • Devolution - This is the third planet in its solar system, orbiting at a mean distance of eight light minutes from its star, and has a mostly magnesium and silicate crust surrounding a primarily iron mantle and core. Large masses of the crust float on the surface of the mantle, precipitating out wherever there is space and melting back in when they collide. This has proved to be a great hazard to the EM pattern creatures that dwell in the lava, so they are prolific breeders. Recently, intense solar storms have begun to disrupt the physiology of the lavabeings, generating a wide variety of mutants, some of which are viable. One of these mutants has actually begun to lose the sentience all beings on the planet have always had.
  • Dust To Dust - This is the third planet in its solar system, orbiting at a mean distance of eight light minutes from its star, and has a mostly magnesium and silicate crust surrounding a primarily iron mantle and core. Large masses of the crust float on the surface of the mantle, precipitating out wherever there is space and melting back in when they collide. Sometimes, they exists long enough for something to develop on it. Millions of different lifeforms live on this planet, but one in particular is remarkable in that they were able to invent the internet before any of the others. Of course, it will be wiped out as soon as its plate sinks again, and the society which created it will become nothing but carbon floating on the surface of this planet.

Every species in this universe lives on the body of an unimaginably greater organism, whose species lives on the body of an even greater organism, and so on, ad infinitum; furthermore, each organism has its own ecosystems living on it all the way down.
  • Fractal Ecosystem - Every species in this universe lives on the body of an unimaginably greater organism, whose species lives on the body of an even greater organism, and so on, ad infinitum; furthermore, each organism has its own ecosystems living on it all the way down. Every such organism is composed of what amounts to the same kind of cell, in an infinite number of various sizes and squeezed into a plethora of shapes. This leads to there being two kinds of “multicelluar” organisms, those that have cells communicating with other cells at the same rough “level”, and those that “introspect”, mostly signaling with their internal ecosystem(s). Occasionally, when one kind devours another, they interfere with each other's communication, leading to barely-functioning hybrids. However, very rarely this results instead in the devoured organism living on inside its predator, being co-opted as a symbiote.
  • Through The Great Mystery - Every species in this universe lives on the body of an unimaginably greater organism, whose species lives on the body of an even greater organism, and so on, ad infinitum; furthermore, each organism has its own ecosystems living on it all the way down. Every such organism is composed of what amounts to the same kind of cell, in an infinite number of various sizes and squeezed into a plethora of shapes. It is only through subtle and rare genetic mutations that each species came to emerge, such that every life form in this universe is as closely related as cousins and even siblings. Instead of eating in the conventional sense, the organisms just leech the nutrients they need from the organism on which they are living. But the laws of thermodynamics still apply in this universe, and so where all the nutrients ultimately come from remains a mystery, perhaps related to all those other dying universes...
  • Protoplasm All The Way Down - Every species in this universe lives on the body of an unimaginably greater organism, whose species lives on the body of an even greater organism, and so on, ad infinitum; furthermore, each organism has its own ecosystems living on it all the way down. The net result of this is that the universe as a whole is utterly indistinguishable from a universe without matter, filled only with a single, chaotically fluctuating energy field.

  • The Flow of Information - This more muted futuristic town dominated by bazaars, cantinas and circuses is continually being visited by weirdos like frogmen, rhino-dragon-whales, Spartan-themed completely flesh-and-blood superathletes and psychic space-taxi drivers. However, the strangest creature and also mayor is a living water tower. This mayor is getting on a little in years, though, and its political opponents are beginning to drop suggestive comments regarding the purity of its internal water. Such opponents include the willow-men of the West and the bell-voiced scaled-birds, both of whom having been vying to give their race an advantage over the other for many centuries. Pressure is mounting for the mayor to submit to an inspection of its contents, to lay these rumours to rest once and for all - and its refusal to do so is causing it to lose more supporters daily.

The Arch-Priest of the temple of Cara has forbidden the colour orange.
  • 'The Most Color Complimentary revolt - The Arch-Priest of the temple of Cara has forbidden the colour orange. Rumour has it that this is because he envies his younger brother, who is a happily married carrot farmer. The decree has caused grave problems for some redheads, as what is considered to be 'orange' was not clearly defined. In addition, the sale and production of carrots, as well as oranges and tangerines, has been deemed anathema due to this decree; a number of farmers have come upon hard times as a result. In response to this, some many farmers of such have joined in a revolt by heretical priests who proclaim that it is purple that is forbidden.

The decree has caused grave problems for some redheads, as what is considered to be 'orange' was not clearly defined. In addition, the sale and production of carrots, as well as oranges and tangerines, has been deemed anathema due to this decree; a number of farmers have come upon hard times as a result. Rumours that the rainbows and the setting sun will be targeted next have caused much eye-rolling amongst the scientific community as well as providing for much raucous laughter at the local taverns.

On a great black pillar, taller than any mountain and with a vast city at its base, there is a massive, eternal fire.
  • The Deadly Flames of Eos - On a great black pillar, taller than any mountain and with a vast city at its base, there is a massive, eternal fire. This fire is fed by slaves. Eventually the Slaves rebelled against the city in an attempted to stamp out the fire. The fire is believed by some to serve as a connection to the goddess of the sun, and that it was key to the city's rise to power. It turns out that this was more than mere myth, as when the slaves succeeded in their rebellion, the goddess died and the world became engulfed in eternal darkness.
  • A New (Mail) Order - On a great black pillar, taller than any mountain and with a vast city at its base, there is a massive, eternal fire. This fire is fed by slaves. Eventually the Slaves rebelled against the city in an attempted to stamp out the fire. The post office had stopped the rebellion by stopping the printing of stamps, causing the city to literally worship mail. The fire is still present and it's not uncommon to see priests of the old religion throwing various letters into the fire as a sign of their protest against the worshipping of mail.
  • The Undying Flames of Thrakalin - On a great black pillar, taller than any mountain and with a vast city at its base, there is a massive, eternal fire. This fire is fed by slaves. Eventually the slaves rebelled against the city in an attempt to stamp out the fire. The fire is believed by some to serve as a connection to the goddess of the sun, and that it was key to the city's rise to power. This is not entirely true; there is no goddess of the sun, but the fire did allow the city to rise to power, as it provided a convenient way for ambitious nobles to dispose of rivals as well as spirited slaves.
  • The Unfriendly Capital of the World - On great black pillar, taller than any mountain and with a vast city at its base, there is a massive, eternal fire. This fire is fed by slaves. The local culture believes that so long as the fire is kept healthy their crops and lands shall thrive. To gather the slaves necessary for this, they have embarked on countless wars with their neighbors. Due to this, the civilians living there rarely have friends because of the wars affecting their personalities.
  • Anthul, the Empire of Eternal Flames - On great black pillar, taller than any mountain and with a vast city at its base, there is a massive, eternal fire. This fire is fed by slaves. The local culture believes that so long as the fire is kept healthy their crops and lands shall thrive. To gather the slaves necessary for this, they have embarked on countless wars with their neighbors. Ironically, this has begun to weaken the empire, due to making several enemies and using the empire's resources towards these endless wars, and there are rumors of a building revolutionary force in response to this.
  • A Land with an Unfitting Ruler - The Arch-Priest of the temple of Cara has forbidden the colour orange. Rumour has it that this is because he envies his younger brother, who is a happily married carrot farmer. Actually, however, the Arch-Priest suffers from an irrational fear of tigers (an animal sacred to Cara), and wishes to be able to spot them from a distance and make his escape. This may be problematic for him, as tame tigers roam the inner temple freely, wearing collars encrusted with jewels, and are denied access to nowhere. He has weekly psychiatrist visits, but one day he will shoot every tiger in the palace.
  • Abundance - On a great black pillar, taller than any mountain and with a vast city at its base, there is a massive, eternal fire. This fire is fed by slaves. The local culture believes that so long as the fire is kept healthy their crops and lands shall thrive. A single foreigner that goes by the name of "Billy-Bob" is attempting to teach this culture about more ethical crop growing methods, such as how to correctly apply fertilizer. They have taken this advice on board, but have yet to stop feeding the fire, because two fertility charms have to be better than one, right? Unless, of course, the crops start turning out...dangerous...
