Jelly Jamm is a 3D CG animated series aimed at young children aged 4-7. It focuses on the adventures of five friends, Bello, Goomo, Mina, Rita, and Ongo. These five friends live on the planet of Jammbo, the planet where all music in the universe originates. This makes music a major theme on the show: every episode includes a dance number, and there is music constantly playing in Jammbo (in fact, if the music ever stops, time itself freezes).

It was co-created by David Cantolla, who also co-created Pocoyo, and produced by Vodka and 737SHAKER CAPITAL, two Spanish companies based in Madrid and Segovia. It is, however, made for an English speaking audience. In the UK, it airs on Cartoon Network's pre-K block Cartoonito, and in Canada, it aired on TVOKids. Even more so, it also was created in conjunction with various other studios, including Bandai (yes, THAT Bandai).

Not to be confused with the early 1990's stage musical Jelly's Last Jam, or the Goosebumps book The Horror at Camp Jellyjam.

This show provides examples of:

• Accidental Misnaming: The King calls Bello and Goomo "Bungo and Guillermo" in "Inner Space".
• Advanced Tech 2000: In "Rhythm Judge", Bello lampshades this when Mina shows off her newest invention, the Drumsticks 6000.
  Bello: It's always "something 6000". Why?
  Mina: Because... it's a scientist thing. You wouldn't understand.
• The Ace: The Queen is athletic, knowledgeable and caring, and, with the help of a few Dodos, runs the Musical Factory that provides the music for the whole universe, while the King rather plays golf and interacts with the kids.
• Acrofatic: Goomo’s quite chubby and he knows how to hoof it when he puts his mind to it.
• Adipose Rex: The King is quite fat.
• Adorably Precocious Child: Mina, who is only about nine and can do huge scientific experiments singlehandedly.
• Aerith and Bob: There's the boys, Bello, Goomo, and Ongo, and then there's the girls, Mina and Rita.
• Ageless Birthday Episode: The three birthdays that are celebrated in the series (the Queen's birthday in "Queen's Birthday", Goomo's in "Goomo's Birthday", and Ongo's in "Double Bello") transpire without their respective celebrants' ages ever being mentioned.
• Agony of the Feet:
  • A book falls on Mina's foot in "Mina's Party".
  • Ongo gets his foot run over by a giant sound wheel in "Jammbo's Many Worlds".
• An Alien Named "Bob": Mina and Rita are aliens from Jammbo. They also have the only normal names in the series.
• Alien Sky: The sky of Jammbo is full of lamps that seemingly hang from nothing.
• Aliens Speaking English: Jammbo's residents have a very good grasp on the English languages despite living on a different planet than Earth. There are even moments where the kids are writing English.
• Alliterative Title: The title Jelly Jamm repeats the letter "J".
• Amazing Technicolor Population: Everyone appears in different colors of the rainbow... even the little dodos. Justified since the series takes place on another planet.
• Amazing Technicolor World: Jammbo's lands come in green, blue, yellow, pink...
• Amusing Injuries: Often, characters will get hurt for a joke.
• Anatomy Anomaly: The Jammbonians have 5 fingers on each hand yet only 2 toes on each foot, making their feet resemble jika-tabi.
• Animate Inanimate Object: The eponymous cheating bracelets from "Cheating Bracelets" have a one-eyed face, are capable of speech, and actively assist in helping their wearers to win at every game they play.
• Animesque: The show is primarily a Spanish-British co-production but utilizes common anime expression tropes including (but not limited to) Sweat Drops and Cross-Popping Veins, one episode features an Idiot Crow, and even before that there's an episode where Gratuitous Japanese text appears. Bandai of all companies is also involved in the show's production, which may have something to do with it since they're a Japanese company.
• Annoyingly Repetitive Child: In "Repetition, Repetition", Goomo teaches Rita a game in which you imitate anything that someone says or does. Rita has too much fun with it and starts mimicking her friends and the Queen, much to their exasperation. As such, they have the King outdo Rita to give her a taste of her own medicine.
• Are You Pondering What I'm Pondering?: Bello asks Goomo in "Super Speed" what it means since Mina has been training a dodo to attain several special abilities, expecting him to reply with Mina being able to train them to be superheroes. Goomo thinks of the dodo baking them a bunch of cookies instead (baking cookies is among the abilities Mina trained the dodo in).
• Argument of Contradictions: In "Monster of Boredom" between Bello and Mina, with the former repeatedly stating that reading is boring and the latter responding that it's not boring.
• Art Evolution: The characters' eyes have got noticeably larger and more expressive since the first episodes, in addition to them gaining more animated expressions. The general animation quality of the show has improved greatly too.
• Apathetic Pet: Subverted in "Rita Adopts a Dodo". Rita takes home a dodo named Gochilla, who's afraid of her until she gives him some jelly-berries. Near the end of the episode, he runs off and she briefly thinks he never really loved her until he comes back a moment later, revealing that he was just going to get two glasses of water.
• Art Shift: Usually employed in the musical segments or in character's imaginations, we've had 2D animation and sprite animation.

• Aside Glance: In "Scary Story", after it's revealed that the monster was just Goomo without his helmet one, Ongo gives the camera a "who knew?" look.
• Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: A Dodo Butterfly becomes giant due to an accident with one of Mina's inventions. As does Rita in "Great Student" when a growth serum spills on her head.
• Baby Morph Episode: "My Little Queen" is one for the Queen, who is turned into a little kid (never explicitly identified as a baby and looks a bit old for one in her kiddified form, but she never speaks as a kid either) after Bello wishes on a shooting star for her to be little again.
• The Baby of the Bunch: Rita is implied to be the youngest of the kids.
• Balloonacy: In "Goomo's Birthday", Ongo almost floats off while trying to hide some balloons from Goomo.
• Banana Peel: Rita slips on one in "Repetition, Repetition" during a duel with the King to see how well they can copy each other. The King breaks his copying streak to save Rita from being hurt by the peel.
• Band Land: Planet Jammbo. Not surprising, considering that it's the source of all the music in the Universe.
• Barbie Doll Anatomy: Apparently, from what we can see from Bello, Jammbonians don't have anything below the belt.
• Bedsheet Ghost: At the end of "Haunted Castle", Bello and Goomo wear white sheets when they pretend to be ghosts and go to scare Rita.
• Belligerent Sexual Tension: Downplayed with Bello and Mina. The Ship Tease for them is very little. They are only children after all.
• Bifauxnen: Mina looks pretty adorable in her male ringmaster costume in "The Monster of Boredom."

• Bilingual Bonus:
  • Ongo is a play on words for "Hongo" meaning "Mushroom" in Spanish. But in the US, it's short for "Ongoing".
  • Also it should be mentioned that all the boys' names end in 'o' and the girls' names end in 'a'. In Spanish, words (adjectives and nouns) ending in either 'a' or 'o' denote the gender of the noun.
• Big Damn Heroes: In "Queen's Birthday", everyone is freaking out because they don't know what kind of birthday gift Queen would look. Believe it or not, it was actually Ongo that pulled them all together and got them to combine all their ideas into one big gift.

• Big "NO!": The kids will say, well, scream, this on occasions where they’re disappointed or upset.
• The Big Race: In "A Day at the Races", Bello, Goomo, Mina, Rita, and the King all compete in a simple race where they have to reach the finish line in their vehicles. The King cheats by distracting the other racers so that he can get ahead of them, and he also makes fun of them in the process.
• Bittersweet Ending: Although Bello's Frisbee team lost the game in "Choose Me", he's perfectly fine with it since he understands that the only thing that matters when playing a game is having fun.
• Blah, Blah, Blah: How Bello remembers the Queen talking in "Operation: Save Jammbo".
• Blind Without 'Em: In "Ultravision", Goomo loses his Sidekickman goggles and a dodo finds them. Goomo learns that this dodo can't see well without the goggles, and he struggles to let the dodo keep them.
• Box-and-Stick Trap: In "Haunted Castle", Bello's plan to catch the ghost in the castle (actually just the King sleepwalking with a white sheet covering him) involves getting it to bump into objects and into a box propped up by a stick.
• Bread, Eggs, Breaded Eggs: In "The Monster of Boredom", Mina wanted to read a book about inventors, Rita wanted to read a book about princesses, and Goomo wanted to read a book about princess inventors.
• Brutal Honesty: Bello gives the honest answer when it dawns on Goomo that nobody else likes heavy metal like he does.
  Mina: Um, it isn't so much that we don't like it, it's um-
  Bello: WE CAN'T STAND IT!
• Camping Episode: In "The Camping Trip", the gang goes out to camp and Rita gives everyone else instructions on what to do for preparations after the tent is set up, but everyone else ignores her and the tent blows away since nobody bothered to anchor it in place.
• Cargo Ship: Played for Laughs in-universe. In "White Trainers", Goomo receives the titular white trainers to replace his flip-flops when one of them breaks. He becomes so obsessed with the new shoes that he shares a Spaghetti Kiss with them and writes a heart symbol with his name and a drawing of one of the shoes scrawled into it on the trunk of a tree, just to name a couple of the things he does with them.
• Cartoon Physics: Not only can characters spontaneously get anime eyes and grow extra legs when running fast, but in one episode, Goomo's legs detatch from his body.
• Cast of Snowflakes: No two characters can possibly be confused for another.
• Catapult to Glory: In "Back-Up", Mina suggests catapulting the King to his room in the castle when he breaks his back and can't walk there himself. The King disapproves of this idea, saying that he's been catapulted before and it's not pretty.
• Ceiling Cling: Technically Chandelier Cling, but in "Queen Rita", Ongo tries to hide from Rita by sticking himself in a chandelier.
• Character Tics: Bello has a habit of tapping his fingers together when nervous or thinking.
• Cheeky Mouth: All the characters have mouths that conveniently tilt to face the viewers regardless of what side the characters are being seen from.
• Cheerful Child: All of the kids are pretty energetic and friendly.
• Child Prodigy: Mina, who is no older than ten, runs a successful lab and has built many inventions, including an invisibility ray and a miniature robot version of herself.
• Clip Show: "Holding Hands", the series finale, shows numerous clips from previous episodes.
• Cloud Cuckoo Lander: Goomo’s brain goes to weird places, as does the King’s when he's not just acting like a little kid. Justified with Goomo since he is just a kid.
• Cock-a-Doodle Dawn: At the end of "Jammbo's Many Worlds", when Bello decides he'll stay to play with Ongo for a little while longer, the sun starts to rise and the morning is heralded by a rooster crowing.
• Color-Coded Characters: Bello is red, Goomo is magenta, Mina is blue, Rita is pink, and Ongo is purple (occasionally yellow).
• Companion Cube: Rita has a doll she calls Princess, whom she is never seen without.
• Company Cross References: In "Jammbo TV", the television shows footage of Bugsted and Pirata And Capitano, two other shows produced by the company Vodka Capital.
• Conforming OOC Moment:
  • In "One-Eyed Bello", Mina, Goomo, Rita and Ongo laugh at Bello for wearing an eyepatch for his black eye. Mina and Rita's reactions can be understandable since the former has a Vitriolic Best Buds relationship with Bello and the latter's too young to know any better, but Goomo laughing at his best friend is a bit odd for him. It's also strange to see Ongo laughing at Bello since he's not normally the type to laugh at others' misfortunes.
  • Sometimes when everyone in a scene is talking, Ongo can be seen moving his mouth (though his voice isn't heard), even though he's a non-speaking character (with a few exceptions).
• Cool Airship: Goomo's house doubles as this. It's powered by piano music.

• Cool Helmet: Goomo has one and he never takes it off.
• Cucumber Facial: In "One-Note Universe", the King and Queen are relaxing at the beach and have cucumber slices over their eyes.
• Curtains Match the Windows: When the characters' eyes get really expressive, we can see that they're same color as their skin and hair.
• Cute Bookworm: Mina is an utter genius and she’s also rather cute.
• Cute Mute: Ongo. He normally doesn't speak except for making sound effects or beatboxing. Except for the rare occasions where he says a real word, such as in "Rita Adopts A Dodo".
• Cuteness Proximity: Rita to the Dodos. Like real animals, this scares them off.
• The Cutie: Rita is the youngest of the kids and is quite energetic and adorable.
• Dance Party Ending: What else is an episode of a show that's central theme is music going to end on?
• Deadpan Snarker: Mina has quite the smart mouth on multiple occasions. Bello sometimes is this too.
• Death Glare: Mina gives Rita one of these after she makes her house leave in "Home, Flying Home."
• Delayed Reaction: In "Jammbo's Many Worlds", Ongo barely reacts to his foot getting run over until after he looks down.
• Deliberate Monochrome: The beginning of "Operation Save Jammbo" is made to look like a black-and-white silent film, complete with piano music and visible film grain.
• Dem Bones: A bunch of anthropomorphic skeletons, as well as a giant floating skeleton head, appear in the dungeon during the pirate story Mina tells Bello in "One-Eyed Bello".
• Depending on the Writer: How mature Mina is to the other kids depends on whoever is writing the episode. In one episode, she's just as hyperactive and fun-loving as the others, and the next, she acts more like the Team Mom and the Only Sane Woman.
• The Door Slams You: In "Tree Mystery", Mina's big machine passes by the King as it enters the castle and hits the door, squashing the King flat.
• "Double, Double" Title: There are three episodes with titles like this: "Promises, Promises", "Questions, Questions", and "Repetition, Repetition".
• Dramatic Irony: In "Wild Nature", Goomo and Rita find a dodo egg and lose it. After looking everywhere for the egg, Goomo is careful not to make the lost baby's parents angry... not realizing that the egg he's after is on the back of his helmet, strapped in place by his aviator's goggles.
• Dramatic Spotlight: One appears over the King in "Inner Space" when he thinks Bello and Goomo have run away after being denied permission to play with his spaceship toy.
• Dreadlock Rasta: Bello's short, puffy hair kind of resembles dreadlocks to a point.
• Duck Season, Rabbit Season: In "Goomo's Birthday", Bello tries to convince Goomo he's getting tired and should go home to rest after trying to get his friends to remember his "special day". Goomo asserts he's not tired, and Bello states that yes, he is, with the same response. Bello then says Goomo isn't tired, to which Goomo replies he is tired and wants to go home, which is exactly what he does afterwards.
• Early-Installment Weirdness: The title card of the series premiere, "The Instant Gardener", has the text "Jelly Jamm Presents" over the episode's name. This is the only episode featuring this text, and in all episodes following it the title card shows only the episode title.
• Eat My Dust: Said by Mina to Bello in "A Day at the Races" when both are bragging about how they're going to win the race first.
• Edutainment Show: Of the "teaches pro-social values" type.
• Embarrassing Damp Sheets: In "The Perfect Toy", Goomo is imagining what a "Hugging Goomo" toy would be like and all sorts of scenarios where it would come in handy. One of the scenarios he imagines is him wetting his bed.
• Everyone Calls Him "Barkeep": The King and the Queen are only ever referred to by their titles.
• Extra-Long Episode: The final episode, "Holding Hands", is about twice as long as the other episodes, which are 10-11 minutes long.
• Eye Scream: In "One-Eyed Bello", Bello gets hit in the eye with a tennis ball and has to wear an eye patch for a few days, causing (unintentional) mockery and laughter from his friends.
• Eyepatch of Power: In "Agent Mina", the King plays the bad guy in a game of spies and wears an eyepatch.
• Face Doodling: In "My Little Queen", the kiddified Queen does this to the King, drawing stuff like hearts and flowers on his face with a pencil.
• Face–Heel Turn: In "Jammboman's Fall", when Bello and Goomo play Jammboman and Sidekickman, Goomo gets tired of Bello only thinking of himself (or more specifically his superhero character Jammboman) and decides to scrap his identity as Sidekickman in favor of the supervillain alias Archenemy. When Bello realizes he's lost his best friend, he decides to become Archenemy's assistant in order to keep playing with him.
• Face Your Fears: In "Flower Fear", Mina learns that Goomo is terrified of burst-into-song flowers and helps him to get over the fear.
• Faint in Shock:
  • In "Princess Smile", Rita faints after she sees Bello's failed attempt to fix Princess's mouth.
  • In "Flying Bathtub", Goomo is extremely nervous that the King will find out that Bello and Mina have gone out with the eponymous bathtub and force him to wash his socks. When Bello and Mina come back Just in Time, Goomo faints.
• Falling-in-Love Montage: Parodied. In the episode "White Trainers", Goomo is given a pair of white sneakers to replace his broken flip-flops and becomes so attached to the shoes that the episode's song segment shows a montage of him interacting with them like one would interact with a significant other on a date (a Spaghetti Kiss, Watching the Sunset, etc.).
• False Camera Effects: Film grain can be seen during the deliberately black-and-white sequence at the beginning of "Operation: Save Jammbo".
• Fake Interactivity:
  • Averted, for the most part, with the exception being in "One Note Universe", when Goomo asks the viewers to find a pink key. This was more Played for Laughs however.
  • In "Jammbo's Rhythm", it was interactive all the more. All the characters showed the viewers how to do different dances. The screen even shook at times, indicating that the viewers did not know the dance that each character was going to teach them.
• Fat Best Friend: Goomo is this to Bello, although he’s not that fat.
• Fat Idiot: Goomo comes off as this sometimes, mostly due to being innocent and a little naïve. Although, he's been shown to be quite bright on other occasions. The King is more of this trope, though.
• Feigning Healthiness: The conflict of the episode "Musical Aurora" is that Goomo has to cover up jelly measles to avoid missing the titular aurora.
• Feud Episode: In "Holding Hands", Bello and Goomo get into an argument over who should get the medal when they win a pass-the-baton race. The others remind them of all the wonderful adventures they've had with each other, which is the episode's framing device for its Clip Show format.
• Flatline: The sound of one plays in "The Gift Is the Gift" when Goomo is launched a far distance from the top of Mina's telescope and lands next to a lake.
• Floating Advice Reminder: In "Inventor Bello", Bello has two thought bubbles near him - one for his Jammbobot mech and one for Mina telling him not to touch her robot. Bello pops the bubble for Mina's warning and turns the robot into Jammbobot anyway.
• Floating in a Bubble: In "Apprentice Bello", the chaos caused by Bello making the Dodos in the castle's music factory go too fast includes music bubbles floating everywhere and carrying people and objects away, including Goomo, one of the Dodos, and the instruction manual for how to work the factory.
• Floating Limbs: The Sky Dodos have little wings that are not connected to their body.
• "Flowers for Algernon" Syndrome: In "Professor Goomo", Bello wants to be able to play games besides Jammboman with Goomo without him having to worry about the rules being too hard to learn and has Mina use her latest invention to copy her intelligence to Goomo. The smart Goomo starts to spend more time with Mina, which bothers Goomo and leads to him accidentally ruining the invention they were working on. Subverted when it turns out said invention is a Jammboman jet dedicated to Bello.
• Foul Medicine: In "Musical Aurora", Goomo has the jelly measles, so Bello claims that he'll have to take medicine that is so terrible that it caused a monster to faint. Goomo reluctantly takes it, and after making a bunch of melodramatic gestures, he immediately brightens and claims it wasn't that bad.
• Free-Range Children: The kids live alone (one of 'em even lives outside!) and are allowed to go wherever they want without any adult supervision.
• Friend to All Living Things: The Dodos can't get enough of Ongo; they'll even let him ride on their backs!
• Friendly Neighborhood Spider: The song "Don't Be Afraid" contains the lyrics "If you see a spider, don't run away/If you look inside her, she might only want to play".
• Gadgeteer Genius: Mina has quite the scientific mind, although her inventions don’t always work out.
• Genki Girl: Rita has seemingly boundless enthusiasm.
• Glass-Shattering Sound: In "Radio Goomo", the heavy metal music from the gadget Goomo finds is loud enough to make the light bulb on Bello's Jammboman helmet and Mina's beakers shatter.
• Grammar Nazi: Mina tells Goomo that "recycle" is only one word in "Operation: Save Jammbo".
• Gratuitous Japanese: Japanese text appears on-screen twice in "Super Jelly League". Firstly, when Bello snatches some sneakers (which everyone is pretending are stink bombs) from Mina, the text "すごい" ("sugoi", or "amazing" in English) appears behind him; and secondly, when Bello throws those sneakers into the distance, Japanese text that looks like "プタン" can be seen.
• Green Aesop: The lesson of "Operation Save Jammbo" is to take care of the enviroment, with the message accomplished through the Jammbonians cleaning up all the trash they inadvertently let pile up.
• Green Around the Gills: Mina's "Mini-Mina" robot got this in "Mina's Swing" while the titular swing was going haywire.
• Gross-Up Close-Up: In "White Trainers", when Goomo shows the Queen his broken flip-flop, a close-up reveals there's mold growing on it. A few seconds later, when he's telling his flip-flop he'll miss it, he rubs it on his face and kisses it, which understandably disgusts Bello.
• Group Hug: The five Jammbonian kids all give each other a group hug in "Super Jelly Squad" after Rita is lifted back up from the edge of a cliff.
• Half-Dressed Cartoon Animal: Bello. This is especially jarring since all the other jelly-kids, even the male ones, wear pants.
• Halloween Episode: The episode "Monster of Boredom" is meant as a Halloween special and is about everyone taking turns telling a story about the Monster of Boredom, who turns anyone he touches into a boredom zombie.
• Hammered into the Ground: In "The Gift Is the Gift", Goomo is pounded into the ground when a treasure chest set up by Bello falls on his head.
• Happily Married: The King and the Queen. They are even shown kissing eachother on the cheek or the mouth in some episodes, averting No Hugging, No Kissing.
• Heterosexual Life-Partners: Bello and Goomo are shown to act like this, always playing or coming up with plans together.
• Hidden Depths: Goomo is a virtuoso pianist. He uses his skill to fly his Cool Airship house.
• Humongous Mecha: Mina invents one to change Jammbo's light bulbs. It gets a makeover and becomes Bello's "Jammbo Bot", complete with a theme song ("Jammbo Bot! Jammbo Bot! Jammbo Bot! Jammbo Bot!").
• Hurt Foot Hop: In "Jammbo's Many Worlds", Ongo hops around when his sound wheel runs over his foot and crushes it.
• Idea Bulb: In "Ultravision", a flashback shows Bello and Goomo creating their Jammboman and Sidekickman costumes. Goomo gets an idea and a light bulb appears next to him, which he then grabs and screws to the top of Bello's Jammboman helmet. Then Bello himself gets an idea accompanied by a light bulb, which he forgoes in favor of some other objects that float next to him. He decides on a fly swatter that gets taped to the front of Goomo's Sidekickman helmet.

• I'll Never Tell You What I'm Telling You!: In "My Little Queen", Bello tries to blame Mina for the Queen becoming a kid again. Mina then posits the possibility it was Bello, leading to Goomo (who saw what had really happened) saying this line:
  Goomo: Leave my BFF alone! Just because he wished the Queen to be little again when he saw a shooting star, it's not his fault!

• Intellectual Animal: The Dodos are shown to be just as smart as the Jammbonians, they have their own culture and speech and generally seem to understand what the Jammbonians are saying. They also get hired by the King as his personal body-guards and assistants, and run the Musical Factory together with the Queen. Jammbonian babies are also given to certain Dodos at birth to be raised by them.
• Intelligible Unintelligible: The kids can understand Ongo perfectly, even though he doesn't speak words. Occasionally, this leads to Repeating So the Audience Can Hear.

• Injured Limb Episode: "Jammbo's Many Worlds" is one for Ongo, who ends up getting his foot in a cast after Bello and Goomo mess with his sound wheel.
• Instant Bandages: In "Tree Mystery", after being squashed by a door hit by Mina's machine, the King spontaneously gains bandages all over his flattened body.
• Invisibility: In one episode Mina turns herself invisible.
• Iris Out: "Professor Goomo" ends with Goomo giving a wink with an audible ding to the viewers as he and Bello are about to play on the Jammboman jet, followed by an iris-out closing in on Goomo.
• Ironic Echo Cut: In "Mina's Swing", the Queen worries that the King and Rita must be frightened when they're stuck on the giant hi-tech swing that Mina built. Cut to them having the time of their lives up there.
• Irony: In "Super Jelly League", Mina gave the role of her sidekick, Screamer Man, to Ongo, the mute kid. Immediately after this, we hear his pathetic attempt at a howl, complete with a cough. You had one job, Mina...
• Irritation Is the Sincerest Form of Flattery: In "Best Friends Forever", Goomo worries he may not be doing enough to establish himself as Bello's best friend and goes too far in his random acts of kindness toward him, which does nothing but annoy Bello.
• Just a Flesh Wound: In "Jammbo's Many Worlds", Ongo getting his foot completely crushed (which is ten bone fractures, plus serious damage to skin and muscle tissues and possibly losing circulation) is regarded as a trivial injury. One has to wonder how badly a Jammbonian has to get hurt before it's considered a major injury.
• Kawaiiko: Rita to a T. Also, Mina is quite cute.
• Keet: Bello and Goomo are both rather energetic.
• Ladies and Germs: In "Radio Goomo", Bello, when he does his magic act for the first time, greets the (non-existant save for Goomo) audience with "Ladies and jellymen!"
• Large Ham:
  • The King, naturally.
  • All the kids (except Ongo) have their moments of being over-dramatic too.
• Laugh Track: The in-universe TV show Bello, Mina, Rita, and Ongo make in "Jammbo TV" has a laugh track.
• Let Me at Him!: In "Mama Mina", Mina tries to communicate with the dodos with her Pocket Dodo Dictionary. She inadvertently says something so offensive that one of the dodos angrily tries to lunge at her and has to be restrained by other dodos.
• Lie Detector: Mina has Bello eat her Candy of Truth in "Flying Lies" to confirm whether his claims of having fought a giant Dodo she wanted to photograph are lies. The candy makes the person who ingested it float higher in the sky every time they lie, which becomes a nuisance to Bello.
• Limited Wardrobe: Everyone only wears one outfit, even to sleep.
• Long List: In "Queen Rita", the Queen's list of obligations for the King is written on a scroll so long that, when she opens it, it stretches out of the castle's entrance and into the distance.
• Loony Fan:
  • In "Rita Adopts a Dodo", Rita is shown to have an oddly large collection of stuff that resembles dodos in her home. The dodo she adopts gets rather weirded out by it.
  • Goomo becomes one towards Bello in "Best Friends Forever", where he overhears Rita having a pretend tea party with her toy and talking to it about how exactly they're "BFFs". This gives Goomo the idea to act extra nice towards Bello, which devolves into him giving Bello clothes to match his and displaying a big picture of the them both from the sky in his blimp, just to name a couple of the things he does.
• Mad Scientist: Mina is a Lighter and Softer version of this trope. She can practically invent anything, conducts many experiments and even got the stereotypical Mad Scientist laugh in "Mina's Party". Her many inventions and stocks of Applied Phlebotinum often set off the plot. She also gets referred to as a Mad Scientist in several episodes.
• Magic Pants: Rita's clothes change size with her when she grows into a giant in "Great Student".
• Magic Wand: This is one of the ideas Bello and Goomo have for the "perfect toy" in the episode "The Perfect Toy". The idea behind it is that they can do all sorts of cool things with it, in contrast to Goomo's previous concept of the "hugging Goomo" which does all the cool stuff itself.
• Manchild: The King often acts like a child. In some episodes (like "King's Clones", for example), his childishness is actually what drives the plot.
• Martial Arts Headband: Mina wears one when training Bello and Goomo to run super fast by making them chase a dodo.
• Me's a Crowd: In "King's Clones" the King creates clones of himself to do his chores for him, but all of them are just as lazy as he is, so the clones create clones of themselves to do the chores. Then those clones clone themselves, and then those clones clone themselves, and so on.
• Medium Blending: The characters are CGI, but have their faces animated in 2D.
• Mellow Fellow: Ongo, to the point where in one episode, he gets thrown off his couch and doesn't even care.
• Minimalist Cast: Perhaps the most extreme example ever. The entire planet of Jammbo appears to have only seven sentient inhabitants: the five kids, plus the king and queen. There is a nearly infinite supply of Dodos, however.
• Mining for Cookies: Taken a step further in that music, which isn't even a physical object in real life, has to be mined so that it can delivered throughout the Universe.
• Minor Living Alone: The King and Queen, who are clearly not the kids' parents, are the only grown-ups ever to be seen. The kids appear to live alone (and outside in Ongo's case) and no one ever considers this odd. Parents may not even exist on Jammbo, as one episode states the kids were raised by Dodos.
• Minsky Pickup: These six notes (well, with one note slightly off compared to usual) appear near the beginning of the background music accompanying Bello's magician act in "Radio Goomo".
• My Hovercraft Is Full of Eels: Mina tries to communicate via a dictionary with the Dodos in "Mama Mina", but whatever she says makes them very angry.
• Named After Their Planet: The Jammbonians on planet Jammbo.
• Nature Lover: All of the kids, but Goomo and Ongo especially. There is actually an episode where Goomo teaches Rita to not harm nature, but be in harmony with it. Ongo doesn't seem to be as environmentally conscious, as he mindlessly throws trash away together with Rita in "Operation: Save Jammbo", but out of all the kids, he gets along best with the Dodos and he rather sleeps outside on a couch than have a proper house, just so he can always be in nature and watch the sunrise everyday.
• Never Bareheaded: Goomo is almost never without his helmet. When he is separated from it, like in "Goomo's Birthday", the show resorts to Scenery Censors to keep us from seeing what the top of Goomo's head looks like.
• Noodle People: The Queen, Mina, and Ongo are very lanky and thin.
• No Antagonist: This is a Slice of Life show for pre-schoolers after all. The closest thing the show has ever had to antagonists is the cheating bracelets from their eponymous episode.
• The Noseless: No one in the series has a nose.
• Not-So-Innocent Whistle: In "Game Surprise", Bello and Goomo make the castle's toy room more messy when they dig through the toy box to find a yoyo's missing sticker. They scramble to make it look like they cleaned the room up like the King had asked by propping a picture of the cleaned toy room over the actual room, and Bello whistles when the King starts to exit. This is what tips off the King that Bello and Goomo didn't actually tidy the room up, since "there's nothing more suspicious than a whistle".
• Not-So-Forgotten Birthday: In "Goomo's Birthday", it's Goomo's birthday (no surprise there), but it seems everyone forgot - made worse by his helmet going missing on the same day. It later turns out they just had a surprise party planned for him, and the helmet was given several improvements by Mina as a birthday gift.
• Ocular Gushers: This happens every time someone like Rita, Bello, and Goomo in this series cries. However, this has not been done with Mina, Ongo, or the Queen.
• An Odd Place to Sleep: Mina apparently sleeps at her work desk in her lab at night, even though it's been mentioned at least twice that she has her own bed.

• Once per Episode: Every episode has a song segment, often using one of several songs performed for the show by Guille Milkyway.
• One-Episode Fear: The characters get over their fears in the episodes that introduce them, so this might be justified.
  • Goomo's fear of burst-into-song flowers is only brought up in "Flower Fear".
  • "Royal Roommate" is the sole mention of the King being afraid of the dark.
• One of the Kids: The King regularly hangs out and plays with the kids, especially Rita and thusly often regresses to their level of maturity (not that this was hard in the first place).
• Our Zombies Are Different: In "Monster of Boredom", the Monster of Boredom turns anyone he touches into a zombie of boredom who can only say "I'm bored". The infectees also turn brown and sport screws on the sides of their heads.
• Out of Focus: Of the five Jammbonian children, Ongo has the least amount of episodes that are focused specifically on him or otherwise give him some significant role.
• Painting the Frost on Windows: Music (which is apparently a mineral) is mined from Jammbo's core, refined, and delivered throughout the Universe in the form of bubbles.
• Paper People: In "Tree Mystery", Mina's machine hits a door that collides with the King, which turns him flat for a brief second as he spins around and then falls down.
• Parental Bonus: In "King's Clones", the Fun-O-Meter from "Mina's Party"^note which tells how much fun one exactly has right now, with "Maximum Fun" being the highest amount of fun one can have is shown to stand in the King and Queen's bedroom.
• Parental Substitute:
  • The Queen is often very motherly towards the kids, particularly Bello. At one point she stops Bello and Goomo from riding a potentially dangerous homemade flying machine and hurting themselves.
  • According to "Grandpa Dodo", the children were raised by dodos as babies. Bello was raised by Grandpa Dodo.
• Parenting the Husband: Sometimes, the Queen is doing this to the King, but he's slightly more mature around her than around the kids.
• Parrot Expo What: Bello does this whenever he hears a word or phrase he's not very familiar with.
• Pick on Someone Your Own Size: Said by Bello to a giant Rita in "Great Student" while he's in his Jammbobot mech, followed by the two closing in on each other as if to fight... which turns out not to be the case, as they play some games including rock-paper-scissors and hopscotch instead.
• Pie in the Face: In "Experiments in Invisibility", a similar joke happens with Mina, who is performing experiments involving her being invisible, shoving a cake into Bello's face when he's trying to do a magic trick with it.
• Pink Girl, Blue Boy: Inverted. Mina's blue while Goomo's magenta (a shade of pink). Rita plays the trope straight, however.
• Pink Means Feminine: In "One Note Universe", Rita wants everything to be pink so she goes the Music Factory and changes the color of the bubbles from rainbow to pink, and when the pink affects the residents of Jammbo, their voices start to sound just like her as well!
• Playing Sick: Inverted. In "Musical Aurora", Goomo comes down with a case of jelly measles on the night of the Musical Aurora, and he pretends to be healthy so that he can still join his friends in seeing it. Everyone else isn't fooled and Goomo is forced to stay home and drink bitter medicine to help him get better.
• Please Keep Your Hat On: In "Scary Story", the kids think they see a monster's shadow which actually happens to be just Goomo without his helmet.
• Potty Dance: Rita does one while on the trampoline in “My Turn”.
• Potty Emergency: The kids engineer one of these to happen to Rita in “My Turn” so that she’ll finally get off the trampoline. As she has been up there for a while, it works in giving her an urge, but she decides to ride the trampoline on it’s side like a hamster wheel to the castle. After crashing it into a mountain and apologising for her selfish actions, she remembers why she was in such a hurry and uses the bathroom in her house.
• Potty Failure: Goomo gets this in the episode "The Perfect Toy" during an imagination sequence, which the toy helps clean up.
• Prized Possession Giveaway: In "Ultravision", there is a dodo who wears Goomo's goggles because he's Blind Without 'Em. Goomo eventually decides to let him keep them. Goomo has the goggles in subsequent episodes, however.
• Puppy-Dog Eyes: In "Royal Frame", all the kids (even Ongo) use this on the king to convince him to make a drawing to put in the frame.
• Quarter Hour Short: All the episodes are around 10-11 minutes long, with the sole exception of "Holding Hands".
• Rain, Rain, Go Away: "The Monster of Boredom" takes place during a thunderstorm.
• Raised by Wolves: In "Grandpa Dodo", the Queen explains that the kids on Jammbo all have a dodo that took care of them when they were younger. Bello's elderly dodo caretaker helps him to find the biggest clover in a clover-hunting contest.
• Reactive Continuous Scream: In "Lost Dodo", Rita gets lost in the forest while looking for a lost baby dodo. Suddenly, she trips over a rock and accidentally comes face to face with the baby dodo she was looking for. This results in about a few seconds of them screaming at each other.
• Read the Freaking Manual: This serves a part of the lesson taught in "Apprentice Bello" about learning something before you know it - a lot of the trouble Bello caused in the music factory could have been easily prevented had he actually read the factory's instruction book like the Queen told him to.
• Reality Warper: In "Silent Sheriff", Bello is named guard over the gift hall in the castle and receives a special star-shaped badge that forces whatever order he gives onto the person or thing being spoken to (for example, he tells some flowers to sing quieter and the badge makes their voices softer). When Bello tries to get the others to stop playing music to snap him out of his constant orders, he asks them to forget about music... and his badge warps them to fit his command, which causes all of Bello's friends to become dull and unplayful.
• Reasonable Authority Figure: The Queen, to contrast with her Manchild husband.
• Reflective Eyes: In "Rita Adopts a Dodo", as Rita is telling her new dodo friend that she's a friend to all dodos, a reflection of the dodo is briefly seen in both her eyes.
• Repeat Cut: In "Flying Bathtub", Goomo imagines the King falling over the decoy he made of the flying bathtub he was supposed to guard. The decoy "tub" (actually a box) gets flattened as soon as the King lands on it, and this landing is repeated a couple of times.
• Right Behind Me: In "Goomo's Race", Bello is asking Mina how she would break the news to Goomo that his journey to find treasure by taking 100,000 steps in special shoes would be worthless since the story is fake. Bello doesn't realize for some seconds that Goomo is right behind him, despite Mina trying to inform him, until he says the whole treasure hunt is fake and Goomo reacts.
• Red Ones Go Faster: In "Mina's Swing", Bello thinks the titular swing would go faster if it were painted red.
• Red Oni, Blue Oni:
  • The energetic and peppy Bello, Goomo, Rita, and the King are red oni while the calm and reasonable Mina, Ongo, and the Queen are blue oni. Of course it would make sense for Bello and Mina to be respective red and blue oni for obvious reasons.
  • Goomo serves as the calmer blue to Bello's hyperactive red sometimes, however.
• Ridiculously Cute Critter: The Dodos are this. Just ask Rita.
• Rock–Paper–Scissors: Giant Rita and Bello in his Jammbobot play this, along with a few other games, in "Great Student".
• Rousseau Was Right: There are no truly evil characters in this show and conflicts are solved via characters talking things out and coming up with solutions together.
• Running Gag: A cardboard cutout of a Mariachi.
• Same Language Dub: Besides the more well-known British English dub, there is also a Singaporean English dub. One difference this version has is that Goomo's voice sounds surprisingly deep for a child like him.
• Sarcastic Clapping: Mina does this when everyone else is applauding sincerely at Bello's story of journeying through the center of Jammbo at the medal ceremony in "The Sticker", as she was the only one who didn't believe it.
• Scenery Censor: Used in "Goomo's Birthday" and other episodes to prevent the viewer from seeing what Goomo looks like without his helmet.
• Second Episode Introduction: Ongo and Goomo make their first official in-show appearance in the second episode, "Mina's Party".

• Shaped Like Itself: In "Mama Mina", Rita tells Mina that forest dodos are her favorite kind of dodos "because they live in the forest!". It is in their name that the forest is their habitat.
• Shout-Out:
  • When giving a lecture on science to Rita, Mina mentions seeing a duck in a green hat and a pink elephant wearing a tutu, which is a spoof on Pocoyo, to see if she was paying any attention. She wasn't.
  • In "Goomo's Race", one of the images in the picture book looks suspiciously similar to the Hylian Crest from The Legend of Zelda.
  • There are many shout-outs to other video game series too, including Pac-Man, Super Mario Bros., and even Street Fighter.
  • In "Soundcatchers", the King does an impression of Darth Vader with his sound-changing device, repeating the villain's famous "I am your father" quote and briefly changing appearance so that his head looks like the iconic Darth Vader helmet.
  • In "Game Surprise", when Bello and Goomo ask the King how to clean the castle's toy room, the King repeatedly recites the "wax on, wax off" line from The Karate Kid in reference to the wipes he's using to wax his car.
• Sick Episode: Goomo comes down with jelly measles in "Musical Aurora" and tries to make himself look healthy so that he can still watch the Musical Aurora with the others.
• Silence of Sadness: In the episode "White Dodo", when Ongo is sad about the eponymous White Dodo flying off into space, he doesn't babble once. He just sits under a tree looking despondent.
• Silent Snarker: The Dodos don’t speak English, but their facial expressions more than convey when they’re feeling snarky. And Ongo counts too to a lesser extent.
• Sleepyhead: When he doesn't have his (non-existant) nose shoved in a book, Ongo is usually napping on his sofa.
  • As shown across the series, he won't wake up unless someone forces him up (and even then, sometimes that doesn't work), is completely okay with sleeping on the ground, and can sleep through Bello screaming.
• Something Person: Bello and Goomo's superhero personas - Jammboman and his trusty sidekick, Sidekickman!
• Space Pirates: In "One-Eyed Bello", a story narrated by Mina casts Bello as a pirate whose ship sails in space. He travels to another planet to find treasure in a castle with other pirates and are met by a floating skeleton head and his buddies who make fun of them.
• Space Whale Aesop: "Jammbo's Many Worlds": Don't take your friend's toy, or it will grow giant and run over said friend's foot, breaking it.
• Spaghetti Kiss: In "White Trainers", Goomo and his pair of white trainers share a plate of spaghetti together. Instead of kissing the trainers, Goomo ends up with one of the shoelaces in his mouth rather than a strand of spaghetti.

• Speech Impediment: Goomo has a noticeable lisp when he speaks.
• Spelling Song:
  • "Just Do It" contains the lyric "J-U-S-T D-O I-T, yeah!"
  • "Jump Now!" contains the lyric "1, 2, 3, J-U-M-P".
• Spell My Name With An S: There is some debate over whether it's spelled "Ongo" or "Hongo". According to the episode "Color of Fun", the former is the correct spelling.
• Sweetie Graffiti: In "White Trainers", Goomo becomes so obsessed with his new shoes that he goes as far as to write a heart-penetrated-by-arrow symbol on a tree, with the inside of the heart having Goomo's name and a drawing of one the shoes in it.
• Suddenly Speaking: In both "Rita Adopts a Dodo" and "Jammbo's Many Worlds", Ongo speaks proper English.
• Sugar Bowl: Jammbo qualifies, what with all the friendship and Dodos.
• Surprise Party: The climax of "Goomo's Birthday" is Goomo realizing his friends didn't forget his birthday after all and were just preparing a surprise party to celebrate.
• Talking to Plants: The Queen suggests doing this to help them grow.
• Team Hand-Stack: The song segment near the end of "Repetition, Repetition" shows the kids, the King and the Queen doing a hand-stack with each other.
• Team Mom: The Queen is of the kids, looking out for them and helping them when they get hurt.
• Technicolor Science: Shows up many times in Mina's lab.
• Temporary Bulk Change: In "Rita Adopts a Dodo", Rita overfeeds her dodo friend, causing it to increase in size and become round in shape. When Ongo tells Rita to stop feeding the dodo so much, she makes it go through extensive exercising which returns it back to its original size.
• Time Stands Still: The plot of "The Jelly Must Flow" is that Goomo is the only one who hasn't been suddenly frozen in time like everyone and everything else on Planet Jammbo and has to find a way to solve the problem. The cause of the time freeze is the King placing a soda bottle on a button in the castle's music factory and stopping all the music - the only reason Goomo didn't freeze is because of him listening to a music player.
• Title Theme Tune: "This is Jelly Jamm, this is Jelly Jamm, this is Jelly Jamm..."
• Toilet Humor: While the show otherwise avoids this kind of humor, it does show up on occasion:
  • The first episode, "The Instant Gardener", features a scene where a dodo eats Mina's shrinking formula and then farts it onto a plant, causing it to decrease in size slightly.
  • Goomo wets the bed during an imagination sequence in “The Perfect Toy”.
  • Rita has a Potty Emergency in “My Turn”.
• Tomboy and Girly Girl: Mina is the tomboy, being a Child Prodigy with an interest in science; Rita is the girly girl, with her obsession with everything that's pink, her plush Princess, and her playing pretend tea party often.
• Tooth Strip: The characters' teeth do not have lines separating them some of the time, though there are separating lines when they grin.
• Trash of the Titans: In "Operation Save Jammbo", everyone throws too much trash over the edge of the same cliff, and it accumulates into a big enough pile that it starts to make the planet's plants wilt and turns the music bubbles into garbage.
• Tree Buchet: In "The Sticker", Bello is sitting on a bent tree with a winged dodo and talks to it about how his friends are at the castle receiving special medal stickers but not him. The dodo flies away, launching Bello right into the castle since it causes the tree to bend back into place.
• Trilling Rs: Part of Mina's accent includes this, although it's more prominent in early episodes.
• Troubled Fetal Position: In "Operation Save Jammbo", the kids walk in on the Queen rocking back and forth in this position after she's seen the damage the trash has done to the music factory.
• True Companions: The 5 kids are the very best of friends.
• Twinkle Smile: At the end of "Princess Smile", Rita brushes her teeth and gives a toothy smile with a twinkle in one of the corners.
• Two Girls to a Team: The group of Jammbonian kids has two girls, Mina and Rita.
• Two Words: Added Emphasis: Goomo does this with the word "recycle" in "Operation: Save Jammbo". Subverted when Mina corrects him.
• Ugly Guy, Hot Wife: The King and Queen. Downplayed due to the cartoony art-style.
• Underwear of Power: Goomo's Sidekickman outfit includes a pair of underwear that he wears over his Hawaiian-looking pants.
• The Unreveal: In "The Story", when the King explains to the others how the story the Queen was reading to Rita ends, the episode cuts to a short song segment right before he says what the words on the inside of the robot princess's ring are.
• Vague Age: Everybody's exact age is unknown. Although, Rita's stated to be the youngest and Ongo's height indicates that he's the oldest of the kids.
• Vaudeville Hook: In one episode, Mina tries to use one to pull Bello off the stage. The first few times, she misses. When she gets it right...she misses Bello and takes Ongo instead.
• Visible Sigh: It's not uncommon to see small clouds puff out whenever characters sigh.
• Vocal Evolution: Mina's accent is less thick in later episodes.
• Vomit Indiscretion Shot: Parodied in "Mina's Swing", where a nauseated robot throws up nuts and bolts.
• Watching the Sunset: In "White Trainers", a picture shows Goomo watching the sunset with his trainer shoes.

• We Want Our Idiot Back!: In "Professor Goomo", Bello's tired of always playing the same games with Goomo, but the latter isn't good at remembering how to play newer games. As such, he takes Goomo to Mina so that she can give him a brainpower-enhancing helmet. This works, but Goomo starts hanging out more with the equally-smart Mina, so Bello wishes Goomo were his old goofy self again. At the end of the episode, Goomo takes off said helmet and returns to his old intelligence.
• Wham Line: More of a Wham Scream. What happens in most episodes when characters are injured? They barely react, or even laugh it off. What happens in "Jammbo's Many Worlds" when Ongo seriously injures his foot? He shrieks in agony, letting the audience know that this time, it's serious.
• Wham Shot: The white dodo getting ready to leave Jammbo in his eponymous episode.
• What Does This Button Do?: There is a big button in the royal palace. Pushing this button stops the music. This is bad, because time stops in Jammbo when there is no music playing. The only thing that averted disaster when the king pushed the button was Goomo, who happened to be listening to a personal music player at the time.
• What the Hell Is That Accent?: Mina has an accent. Just...an accent. In the original Spanish, Mina's accent sounds like someone that's never heard a German accent trying to force a stereotypical German accent.
• White Void Room: The inside of the Great Box in "Inner Space" is an infinite white void with various objects floating around that were stuffed into it.

• Wish Upon a Shooting Star: In "My Little Queen", Bello has had enough of the Queen disrupting the fun he and Goomo have out of fear of them getting injured, and Goomo suggests he wish on a shooting star to do something about it. The wish Bello makes comes true, and the following morning the King is surprised to find the Queen has become a child again.
• Women Are Wiser: Mina and the Queen are the smartest characters on the show.
• World of Ham: Every character in the show (minus Ongo and the Queen, Depending on the Writer) is liable to ham at any second.
• Would Rather Suffer: In "One-Eyed Bello", Bello says he'd rather not see than wear an eyepatch.
• Writing Lines: The King's punishment for placing his soda bottle on the button that stops the music factory and brings Jammbo to a standstill.
• The X of Y: The episode "Color of Fun".
• X-Ray Sparks: In "Haunted Castle", Bello and Goomo's skeletons become visible for a split-second a couple of times as lightning strikes near them.
