* BelatedChildDiscipline: In the episode "Out of Scale," Dale and Chip are captured and given to Buffy, the very spoiled daughter of a gangster named Ratso. At the very end of the episode as Ratso, his goons, Professor Nimnul, and Buffy are being taken to jail, Ratso laments that his house, criminal enterprise, and fortune are gone. When Buffy whines that she wants a new toy, Ratso yells at her to "[[BigShutUp shut UP!]]", causing his goons to cheer for him.

* LaResistance: Parodied with The Pound Underground in the pilot. The leader is a French poodle, aptly named Frenchie, and a self-proclaimed freedom fighter. By his side is his trusty friend, a small Spanish dog named K. Sera. Mind you, "freedom" refers to freedom from the dog pound, and "underground" refers to the tunnel K. Sera is digging.

In this series, Chip and Dale are no longer mischievous troublemakers but rather amateur crimefighters. Joining them in their adventures are Monterey "Monty" Jack, a tough but lovable [[LandDownUnder Australian]] mouse with a weakness for cheese; Monty's friend Zipper, a small fly who [[TheUnintelligible can not speak understandably]], but has unusual strength for his size; and Gadget Hackwrench, a blonde female mouse who ices a [[WrenchWench skilled inventor and mechanic]] as well as both chipmunks' unrequited love interest. The team, dubbed the "Rescue Rangers," operate out of a tree in a local park and regularly take on a RoguesGallery of unusual villains, such as the feline crime lord Fat Cat (whose owner, a human crime lord, was the target of the team's first mission) and megalomaniacal human inventor Norton Nimnul, along with similar one-shot criminals.
