Nintendo World Report (formerly known as Planet Gamecube) is a volunteer run news site that focuses mainly on Nintendo. The site has a small community on its forums and a massive backlog of podcasts including the Famicast, Radio Free Nintendo, and Connectivity. They also have a PDF based news magazine that is released once every month.
Examples of tropes found in the podcasts:
- Butt-Monkey: Jon Lindemann has become this due to the sheer number of games he has purchased but not played.
- Entertainingly Wrong: The RFN crew has a well established pattern of making predictions only to have the exact opposite happen.
- It Will Never Catch On: The RFN crew's reaction to the announcement of the Wii. One person proudly stated that you would easily be able to find a Wii during Christmas.
- Noodle Incident: Several pieces of audio were lost during editing, usually forcing the recording to either be scrapped or greatly altered.
