Fabuland Housewives is a Lego photo webcomic hosted on BrickZone.net. Unlike most LEGO webcomics, the characters aren't standard minifigs, but Funny Animal characters from Fabuland, a relatively obscure Lego theme from the 1980s.As far as plot is concerned, Fabuland Housewives, is a spoof on the TV series Desperate Housewives, which means basically people (or animals for that matter) with lots of dark secrets living in a Stepford Suburbia. It can be read here.
Cast Full of Gay - A large chunk of the male cast is gay in the comic.
Cat Scare - Played for laughs: The cat is anthropomorphic.
Cloudcuckoolander - Bianca Lamb, to a lesser extent also Gavin Gorilla.
Coming Out Story - Boris, early on. Though when word gets out through the gossip rags about his homosexuality, the town as a whole is completely accepting, and have no qualms with having a gay chief of police.
Chromatic Arrangement - The four sisters Bianca, Lily, Lila and Lacey Lamb wear green, yellow, blue and red respectively. (Necessary due to Only Six Faces.)
The Danza - Bianca Lamb is supposedly played by Bianca Lamb. Everyone else only shares the Species Surname with his or her actor.
Fantastic Racism - Alluded to, although no characters are really openly racist. Evan Elephant's violent reaction towards mice seems to be more instinctual behavior instead of based on prejudices.
Flashback - Often used to give characters, who have already been killed off, some more screen time. Episode 15 even is a Whole Episode Flashback.
Disgruntled with Governor Cora undermining his authority, Mayor Langston calls her a cow. Guess what species Governor Cora is...
Happily Married: Gavin and Gregor are one of the very few happy committed couples in the series, while they aren't officially married, Gavin does refer to Gregor as his husband.
Interspecies Romance - All over the place. Betsy Bunny and Randy Rabbit are in fact THE EXCEPTION!
Left Hanging - Most if not all the mysteries and cliffhangers in season one get wrapped up by the end. But the first episode of season two opens up a whole can of new mysteries. None of which get answered because a second episode has never been made.
Loads and Loads of Characters - After all, how else can you kill off so many without eventually running out of characters?
Straight Gay: All of the gay men in the story seem to be this. The most flamboyant thing about any of them seems to be that Payton carries a wine glass around alot.
Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome - The baby Bianca finds in season one is a teenager in season two, although in-universe the time gap between the two seasons is only one year. Lampshaded by the explanation that animals grow up much faster than humans.
The Reveal - Doctor Dalton is gay! ... also the killer too, but whatever.
Time Skip - Season two starts with the episode 365 Days Later
Took a Level in Badass - Would you have guessed that out of all people, meek confidenceless Butt Monkey (Butt Mouse??) Marcus Mouse would be the new mayor in season two?
Will They or Won't They?: Through out season one Payton and Boris are constantly skirting around their feelings for each other.
Yaoi Guys: Gavin, Boris, Gregor, Payton, and Fenix. Though Gavin and Gregor seem to be the main official couple out of all them.
