"Amy told me about this story of Slenderman, and, um... It sounded weird - I don't know how scared I am of someone named 'Slender Man'-"

TJA Projects was started on April 4th, 2011, with the original intent of parodying the Slenderman Mythos by mixing it with Borat. The heroines, Amy and TJ, did not know what they were messing with.

The first video is here. And there's a twitter. A helpful Unfiction thread can be found here.

The series concluded on September 27th, 2011 with Answers. The End... Or Is It? Actually, it wasn't.

Following the conclusion of TJAP, four more series started within the same universe. These included:

  • Find the Room: A mysterious figure provides a camera feed of a room where a comatose woman sleeps, hinting that she only has a finite amount of food and water available before she dies. The viewer is tasked with finding and freeing her before the time runs out. FtR was active from November 1, 2011 through November 20, 2011, and is now discontinued (although Andrea was successfully rescued by another mysterious benefactor). Due to the time-specific nature of the series, and the hints provided in tweets and emails outside of the videos, Find The Room was more of an Alternate Reality Game. However, events and hints from this series continue to impact the ongoing TJA-verse.
  • Making New Memories: A recovering amnesiac, Andrea Shepard, attempts to reconnect with ordinary everyday life. Meanwhile, she has discovered a curious journal written in an incomprehensible language which hints at clues to her forgotten life. Certain people have an interest in making sure she does not discover the truth. MNM was active from January 20 to June 19, 2012.
  • Turn To Clouds: A young woman, recently relocated to Florida, makes video diaries for her friend in California. She discovers a strange hidden compartment in her home, and begins to have strange fears about events occuring around her. Now discontinued.
  • Turn To Memories: Andrea and her new roommate Aimee post video blogs about their newfound friendship and daily activities, and about getting used to unfamiliar surroundings. Meanwhile, figures on their periphery begin to make plans which bode ill for the two girls.

The unfiction thread for the followup series begins here. NOTE: the unfiction thread on the later series will contain spoilers for TJAP beginning from the first post.

An incomplete wiki for all of these series is available here.

TJA Projects provides examples of:

  • Adults Are Useless: Played with. TJ is doing whatever she can to protect her child, although it's arguable as to how effective she can be against Slender Man. Nearly parental figure mentioned in the series does something, even if it is just babysitting.
  • Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking: The antagonists threaten children, terrorize impoverished women, are responsible for ruining the lives of several families...and stole Amy's guitar.
  • Blood from the Mouth: TJ. Averted as it's not blood but a strange black substance.
  • The Cameo:
    • Evan from Everyman HYBRID in the Our Trip To Jersey vid when the girls go out of state. He's looking at a tank.
    • Also Xakk, Gavin, and others from the "5zer02" vlog, and an appearance from The Outside Agents.
  • Children Are Special: One of the possible reasons why Slenderman and Sight seem interested in Dahlia.
  • Creepy Doll: Dahlia's clown doll.
  • Crossover: With another vlog called 5zer02
  • Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: TJ as the responsible one and her brother as the foolish one.
  • Gainax Ending: With the august happening mostly on Twitter and youtube censoring the ending isn't fully there. A Literal Shoot the Dog was uploaded then removed, reaction video mentioned lost time, next video showing the lost time was censored from youtube because of Self-Harm which caused TJ to revise the ending down to the final answers video.
  • Glamorous Single Mother: Averted with TJ. Motherhood + Slender Man weirdness is not easy.
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners: TJ and Amy.
    • Both in-game and out-of-game. After a viewer reported them to child services, the two purportedly had problems convincing them that they weren't a couple.
  • Humanoid Abomination: Slender Man as always.
  • I Am a Humanitarian: So, Amy finds a dead girl on the lawn and doesn't mention it to TJ. Where did the body go and how did poor broke Amy afford those steaks she served for her and TJ a few days later? You know the ones she made the Soylent Green joke about...
  • Improbable Infant Survival: Tension over whether this trope is played straight or subverted fuels much of the series.
  • Self-Harm:
    • Amy tears out her nose ring and pulls out a pinky nail.
    • Second last video taken down from youtube because of this (see Unfiction for mirror).
  • Shout-Out: Mostly to other works which feature children in peril.
    • Not to mention the obligatory "20 dollars" meme.
    • Xakk makes several references to the protagonists of some other Slenderseries in "More Questions, No Answers". References to other slender series are made by the main characters as well.
    • Xakk does it again in "Searching for the Tripp House" where he mentions Patrick from ML Andersen.
  • Talkative Loon: Amy in Look at the Liar
  • You Killed My Father:
    • Amy to Slenderman.
    • Also, TJ probably killing Jake in his guise as the Plague Doctor.
  • Very Loosely Based on a True Story: Patricia Pearl Tripp (aka Sight) was actually a kidnapping victim in the 20th century rather than the 19th century as in the series. Involvement of Slender Man not actually true. We hope.
