** Ryan, Lewis, and John all love the ''Resident Evil'' series, while Ted has only played 4, which he ordered live at the advice of the others during their retrospective on the series.

* NeverMyFault: The entire crew gets a Game Over in ''VideoGame/KirbysReturnToDreamLand'' several times in level 7-2, with Ryan angrily blaming Ted for the fuck ups. While the entire team did share some parts of the blunders, Ted screwed up the most by rushing blindly into blocks that crush him or his teammates. Ted refused to admit that it was entirely his fault. But he did admit to sharing some of the blame. Important to note this was one of the times the fanbase actually defended Ted.

** Additionally, midway of the BSC Smash 4 Direct impressions video, Amanda had began crying and John immediately turned it around for her by yelling her she has friends who support her.

** Starting in the ''Pokemon Crystal'' commentary, anytime someone is interrupted by a phone call or some other third party (usually happens to Ted), the group (mainly Ryan,) pretends that the Pokemon Fan Club President is harassing him on the phone, rambling about his Rapidash.
** In the ''Symphony of the Night'' commentary, whenever something doesn't make sense, Johnny says it's ok cause "This castle is a creature of chaos, it may take many incarnations."

** Ryan saying "D'oh!" in the style of Wario every time the character he's playing as gets injured or messes up in both ''Kirby's Return to Dreamland'' and ''Mario Party 2''. YMMV, but some might call this one an OverusedRunningGag...though arguably, it's not quite as overused as "[[LetsPlay/{{Chuggaaconroy}} D'oh, I missed!]]".
** During the Final Fantasy VI commentary, they almost always shout a character's name (due to it being in all caps by default). Early in the playthrough, they even state that [[LampshadeHanging it will likely be the running gag for that run]].
** Throughout the playthrough of Resident Evil 4: Wii edition, whenever somebody made a particularly terrible joke, pun or innuendo, Johnny would follow it up with The Fozzie Laugh.

** Ryan unfavourably comparing The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword to pretty much anything throughout recent playthroughs, much to the fanbases anger. The frequency of this happening was even acknowledged and played off as a joke by FTA during the 'Sonic Boom' commentary.

* SanitySlippage: The entire F-Zero GX commentary due to the lack of things to commentate about.
** Before that was the infamous Megaman 3 part 7-8, where, due to Ryan's almost nonexistent editing skills at the time, had Megaman grinding weapon energy for '''''two parts'''''. * ShaggyDogStory: During the crew's round of ''VideoGame/MarioParty 3'' in Momocon 2018, Lews and Ted were beating Ryan and Johnny with Lewis gaining a considerable lead in stars. For years, Ryan would always be the one who won the ''Mario Party'' sessions, but Lewis taking the lead generated a lot of excitement from the viewers. After a few parts, the game suddenly freezes and effectively kills the game for everyone. Some viewers joke that the game glitched out simply because Waluigi (Ryan) was losing and was going against the status quo. What makes the whole thing worse was Ted insisting in the first part that they didn't need to have the game save after every turn.

* ThisIsGonnaSuck: The boys open the ''[[VideoGame/SonicTheHedgehog2006 Sonic '06]]'' Commentary this way. Nearly every part of the commentary has moaning in the description.

* TrueCompanions: John states during the Sonic 06: Very Hard Mission video that he considers the crew the greatest friends he has ever made.

** The entire ''Legend of Zelda'' playthrough becomes this after Johnny [[spoiler:reveals that the bet he made with Ted (that Ted would earn his Month of Pokemon 2 if he beat the first Zelda without savestates) was nothing more than John screwing with Ted; he was going to do a Month of Pokemon 2 ''anyways''.]]

** Ted's reaction to Johnny for revealing that he killed the dog in his personal playthrough of Shantae, and in the sequel, it is in the underworld. Subverted on Ryan, he knew he could do it, but he loves dogs, so he didn't during his time.
* YoureInsane: Everyone's response to Gareth claiming that ''Shadow The Hedgehog's'' [[ThatOneLevel Lost Impact]] is his favorite level in the game.
