After the events of "Sonic Unleashed", Sonic realized Eggman once again took the Chaos Emeralds for world domination (again) but Sonic was not going to waste anytime with him. He went straight up to space, and defeated his latest creation, whilst re-obtaining the Chaos Emeralds. But the Chaos Emeralds are holding a secret of their own... Will Sonic find out in time before they show it?.
The series is composed of 6 episodes. A sequel named "sonic:shadowed secrets" was made,but it only got three episodes so far.
There was a remake of the series named "sonic split:redux" but it only has done the first episode so far.
Sonic Split contains examples of...
- Apocalypse How: Ultimate fleetway wants to create a class X-4. he's stopped by hyper sonic/master emerald
- Bittersweet Ending: Demon Super Sonic is defeated and resealed back into Sonic for good, but Tails and Knuckles are dead and the master emerald can't bring them back.
- Enemy Without: Demon Super Sonic splits from sonic,much like his comic counterpart.on an twist on the trope,Demon Super Sonic needs to actually rejoin with sonic to adquire his full power
- Hero Killer: Ultimate Fleetway kills Tails and Knuckles
- Ironic Echo:Sonic:I will not allow you to do this.

- Superpowered Evil Side: Demon Super Sonic. Dark Super Sonic also his one as well,but it's different from Demon,through he doesn't do much since he's absorbed by Demon when he first appears,making him stronger
- Villainous Breakdown: Once the master emerald takes over sonic's body, Fleetway get's desperate and tries to destroy the universe right away,when he encounters the master emerald again after thwarting his attempt to destroy the universe,he get's even more scared as he calls himself a god while he's de-powered and sealed back into Sonic.
