''Eddsworld'' is a British slapstick-heavy webtoon and webcomic that has been running [[LongRunner since 2004]] and is arguably one of the most influential online cartoon series on [=YouTube=]. [[http://eddsworld.newgrounds.com/ Originally founded on]] Website/{{Newgrounds}}, its [=YouTube=] channel can be found [[http://www.youtube.com/user/eddsworld here,]] and its [=deviantART=] page containing all of the ''EW'' comics can be found [[http://eddsworld.deviantart.com here.]]

The series follows the lives of four (later just three) characters: the eponymous, cola-obsessed Edd, Matt, the square-chinned vain ginger, Tord, the trigger happy Norwegian (until he was PutOnABus) and Tom, the sarcastic, eyeless alcoholic. "Eddisodes" were released sporadically and follow no real story arc. The characters usually get involved in strange adventures, involving, in no particular order: zombies, [[NinjaPirateZombieRobot evil zombie Santa]], mummies, [[FutureMeScaresMe future counterparts]], talking lemons, [[CloningBlues clones]], [[ArsonMurderandJaywalking Canadians]], among other things. HilarityEnsues.

After a long battle with cancer, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkEvbOsr138 creator Edd Gould passed away on March 25, 2012.]] His friends have confirmed he left half of a two-part episode ("Space Face") completed. His passing sparked a heavy reaction from the community, and many animations have been made in tribute to him, including a [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_jwM7bDIPQ8 collaboration project between]] many major web animators. The [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ts8-ycqCik&feature=g-all-u final Eddisode voiced and animated by Edd]] ("Space Face, Part 1") was released on June 2nd, 2012.

Luckily, the show continued afterwards, produced by Tom's voice actor Thomas "Creator/TomSka" Ridgewell and animated by various artists, most significantly through ''Eddsworld: Legacy'', a successful fundraiser released almost a week after "Space Face, Part 1" with the purpose of continuing production of the series. (Well, successful aside from the controversy that brewed after there was considerable trouble getting perks out due to the overwhelming demand, with some apparently not getting anything after ''a year and a half''.)

The series had some issues picking itself up following Gould's death, and, according to Tom, he stepped down from his title of showrunner following the release of the "The End" (the GrandFinale of ''Legacy'' and possibly ''Eddsworld'' as a whole), and will let Gould's family handle what to do with ''Eddsworld''. Edd Gould's mother confirmed that [[http://cottonserenity.tumblr.com/post/140786434144/quietly-slides-this-here-is-anyone-gonna-talk she will become the new show runner in the future]], possibly meaning that this world will keep on spinning after all.

Has a [[Characters/{{Eddsworld}} Character sheet]].

Not to be confused with another series starring [[WesternAnimation/EdEddNEddy a character named Edd]] (although he usually goes by Double D instead).
----
!!Tropes featured include:
* AuthorAppeal: There are at least six films dealing with zombie apocalypses (Apocali?).
* {{Adorkable}}: Edd can be like this.
* AliensAreBastards: Double subverted in "Space Face"; Matt is at first terrified of [[ToServeMan being eaten by their abductors]], but is reassured by the aliens' seemingly-benevolent nature, with the Commander giving them a full tour of the ship. However, as soon as the aliens get their use out of the boys, they attempt to eject them into space through the garbage disposal.
* AlternateHistory: In "[=WTFuture=]", [[spoiler:Matt goes back in time and makes it so he founds, invents, and rules everything. He even [[OrwellianRetcon edits history in the present,]] so that he ''remains'' the founder, ruler, and inventor of everything]].
* AluminumChristmasTrees: In "Saloonatics", Edward Gold, the ancestor of Edd, manages to gain superpowers by drinking a brand-new product called "cola". Cola as we know it was actually invented in 1886, and became rather popular, meaning it could have feasibly been a brand-new drink in the Western United States by the 1890s, near the tail end of the Wild West period.
* AnachronismStew: For some reason, the British Army uses Kalashnikovs and American helicopters, as seen in "Moving Targets".
* ArtEvolution: Earlier animations were very blocky, but as time went on, the art style improved to be more smooth. Take a look at this [[http://sgtshadowwalker.deviantart.com/art/Evolution-of-Edd-3-5-429736091 interactive fan-made animation]] to get an idea of the changes made over the years.
* ArtShift:
** After Edd's death the show was animated by various people, each of them with a somewhat different style.
** The show enjoys switching back to the art style of older episodes whenever a past event is shown. It pops up in both "[=WTFuture=]" (when Future Edd travels back in time to an earlier episode) and "The End (Part 1)" (when showing Tord's in-universe departure).
* AuthorAvatar: All the main characters are named after, [[AsHimself voiced by]] (with the exception of Edd as of later episodes, [[spoiler: and Tord in "The End"]]), and vaguely based off the creator and his friends.
%%AuthorExistenceFailure is already in the Trivia tab. Please don't put it here.
* BadFuture: Subverted; the Edd from the future in "[=WTFuture=]" sees it as a bad future because Coke's been banned. Tom and Matt seem just fine with the future.
* BadSanta: Zanta Claws, a zombie Santa. Fortunately, the real Santa also exists. [[spoiler:It turns out that Zanta ''was'' the old Santa, and that after he died, real Santa took his place.]]
* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: In "The End: Part 1", Eduardo, annoyed at Jon, says to him [[spoiler:"I wish you were dead." In Part 2, Jon dies after Tord fires a rocket at Eduardo's house.]] He doesn't take it well.
* BerserkButton: Tom loves Smirnoff, but God help you if you give him '''Diet''' Smirnoff.
* BigOlUnibrow: Tom used to have one.
* TheBlank: In Comic 82: Ignored. Lampshaded when Tom asks how Edd and Matt can breathe.
* BonusStage: Parodied in [[VideoGame/SonicTheHedgehog2 Not-So-Special Stage]], where it's the ''entire game''.
* BreadEggsBreadedEggs: During Tom's house-hunting montage in "The End (Part 2)", he rejects, in order, a room full of ghosts, a room that's on fire, and a room full of ghosts that also is on fire.
* BrickJoke:
** Edd smashes Tom's bass in one episode. It's referenced two times in future episodes that release a good deal later.
** In "Zanta Claws", Edd says he thought the real Santa died years ago, only to meet what is apparently Santa at the end. In "Zanta Claws III", [[spoiler:Zanta offhandedly reveals he was the original Santa when he was alive.]]
* ButtMonkey: Tom and Matt end up on the receiving end of a lot of abuse in the cartoons, although Matt may arguably get it worse because it's obvious Edd and Tom don't like him.
* CallBack:
** In "Space Face Part 2," Tom is seen wielding Future Edd's weapon from "[=WTFuture=]".
** In the flashback in "[=PowerEdd=]", you can see multiple Eddsworld cameos, including the actress from "[=MovieMakers=]", Tord, and Paul.
** The Legacy run of the show overall has a real knack for this, for obvious reasons. Almost everything in [[http://twitter.com/PaulterVoorde/status/647832123513171968 this image]] from "The End" is either some kind of inside joke or reference from a past episode. [[CatchPhrase It's pretty swell.]]
** When Matt is taking his... ''thing'' to his room in "Hammer and Fail", he is heard muttering "It was better being ruler of everything, it was awesome", referring back to "[=WTFuture=]".
* TheCameo:
** Eddsworld Legacy donators were given the opportunity to appear as a cameo in an episode if they contributed over a certain amount.
** [[spoiler:ComicBook/NickFury]], of all people, gets one in {{The Stinger}} of "[=PowerEdd=]".
* CantTakeAnythingWithYou: Referenced and averted in a deleted scene from "[=WTFuture=]".
-->'''Future Edd''': I have ''no'' idea [[Film/TheTerminator what those naked Austrian guys were talking about]]... "Your clothes cannot time travel with you because they are not made of biological matter!" Whatever ''that'' was about...
* CaptainObvious: Captain State the Obvious in "Tom's Tales of Awesome".
* CatSmile: Part of a RunningGag.
** In "Moving Targets":
-->'''Edd''': Sir! Can I call you Hilary, sir! *Cat smile*
** And again in "Hello Hellhole":
-->'''Edd''': May we call you Lucy? *Cat smile*
** And ''[[RuleOfThree yet again]]'' in "Mirror, Mirror":
-->'''[[DistaffCounterpart Ell]]''': Can I call you Daisy? *Cat smile*
* CatchPhrase:
** Tom's "Holy X on a Y!" or "Kitten Shopping!" Lampshaded in "Spares":
-->'''Tom Clone 1''': Holy bumblebees on a body board!
-->'''Tom Clone 2''': Holy carrot cake on a kitten!
-->'''[[RuleOfThree Tom Clone 3]]''': [[BreakingTheFourthWall Holy reused joke on a webtoon!]]
** Matt's "Not the face!", or alternatively, "Indubitably."
* CensoredForComedy: Parodied in [[http://eddsworld.deviantart.com/art/EWCOMIC-No-154-Swearing-199967864 this comic]]:
-->'''Tom''': Have you ever noticed how we hardly ever swear?
-->'''Edd''': That's because it always [censored] comes up as these [censored] blocks.
-->'''Tom''': Well that's just [censored] stupid! Whose [censored] idea was that?
-->'''Edd''': Probably the same [censored] [censored] who thought it would be a good [censored] idea to [censored] [censored] [censored] and give you [censored] [censored] [censored] instead of [censored] [censored] [censored] and stuff.
-->'''Tom''': [censored].
* CharacterOutlivesActor: Sadly, Edd. Also a rare example of the character outliving the inspiration for the character.
* CharacterisationMarchesOn: In early Eddisodes, Matt's catchphrase was "Indubitably!". In "Hammer and Fail 2", Tom is suspicious of Matt using a word with more than two syllables.
* ChristmasEpisode: Many. The more prominent ones:
** The "Zanta Claws" trilogy, dealing with the guys' encounters with a zombie Santa Claus.
** "Xmas Day", a episode narrated like a Christmas story about a particularly bad Christmas.
** "Christmas Eddventure", about Tom attempting to avoid getting roped into standard Christmas plots.
* CompanionCube:
** Tom calls his spiky head of hair "Steve".
** Shoe from "[=MovieMakers=]".
** Susan, Tom's bass guitar.
* CouchGag: The brief intro sequence has been changed several times, such as having characters talk in time with the tune, or by changing the tune to something relevant (for example, reversing it in "Mirror Mirror").
* ContinuityPorn: Both parts of "The End" contain a metric crapload of references to all the previous episodes, up to and including the crew recreating them with [[spoiler:Tord]]
* {{Crossover}}: "Trick of Threat" prominently features Kate Dexter, a character from Creator/{{TomSka}}'s ''Crash Zoom'' webtoon series (both series being run by Thomas Ridgewell at the time). In ''Crash Zoom'' itself, Tom appears in "Orcs & Dorks" (albeit as [[spoiler:the nuclear monster from "[=PowerEdd=]"]]).
* CurseCutShort: Twice during "Hammer and Fail 2".
* CutShort: Averted, despite the creator's death the show still goes on.
* DeadpanSnarker: Tom. Edd can slip into this.
* DeathIsCheap: The cast are constantly killed off in the animations and comics, but are always back by the next episode or comic. It led to a bunch of awkward moments after the real Edd's death.
* DemonicPossession:
** [[spoiler:Matt]] in "Hammer and Fail 2". [[spoiler:Fortunately, he turned out to be too unbearable and was subsequently dumped.]]
** Kate does this to the gang in "Trick or Threat". [[spoiler:Tom is immune because he's already been possessed.]]
* DisproportionateRetribution:
** In "[=PowerEdd=]", [[spoiler:it's revealed the reason Eduardo hates Edd so much is because in Kindergarten, Edd beat Eduardo in a drawing competition and Edd made fun of him for being in second place]].
** In "Trick or Threat" Kate tries to make the guys kill each other after Matt refuses to give her Halloween candy.
* DramaBombFinale: While ultimately a SeriesFauxnale, "The End" counts as one. The moment [[spoiler:Tord gets into his giant robot]] almost all comedy is tossed out of the window.
* DramaticIrony: Despite easily being the most violent and trigger-happy out of the four, Tord actually [[http://uzibazooka.tumblr.com/image/143562611907 has the least amount of confirmed kills]] in the entire series. [[spoiler:What's more, his only kill came at the series finale, thirteen years after the original skits aired.]]
* DrivenToSuicide: Edd's milkman in "Zanta Claws", Future Edd in "[=WTFuture=]".
* EyelessFace: Instead of eyes, Tom only has two black holes in his face (although he can still see... somehow). His mother was a bowling ball and his father was a pineapple, explaining his lack of eyes (and round head shape).
* FunWithSubtitles: in the Flash version of "[=WTFuture=]" and [=YouTube=] version of "[=MovieMakers=]":
--> '''Future Edd''': I am YOU from the far off year of two thousand and [[SoundEffectBleep OH NO A BUS]].
--> '''Future Edd''': Son of a [[SoundEffectBleep BEAGLE]].
--> '''Tom's Brain''': Now he's gonna find a way to read those before-[[ItMakesSenseInContext SPAACE CAATS]].
* GenderFlip: Matt's mirror in "Mirror Mirror" is a portal to a universe where the characters are all of the opposite gender.
* GilliganCut: In "Tom's Tales of Brilliance".
* GoryDiscretionShot: Used in "Zanta Claws", when Zanta bites a kid's head off.
* GreenAesop: "Climate Change". PlayedForLaughs though, as Edd is able to stop a tsunami by unplugging everything.
--> '''Edd''': [[LampshadeHanging Well, that's just silly]].
* HalloweenEpisode: There are several, including "Matt Sucks" (featuring Matt turning into a vampire) and "Trick or Threat" (a MusicalEpisode).
* HehHehYouSaidX: In "Spares", while Bing explains his plan in the chalkboard, he writes "algeBRA". Then an arrow that points to "hee hee"
* {{Hellevator}}: "Hello Hellhole".
* InternetIncorporated: Provides the page picture, as seen in "[=MovieMakers=]".
* KilledOffForReal: [[spoiler:Jon, as of "The End (Part 2)".]]
* LateToThePunchline: In "[=WTFuture=]", it takes Edd '''ten years''' to pick up on a not-so-StealthInsult.
* LotusEaterMachine: Subverted in "Zanta Claws II", where Zanta gives the protagonists "their hearts' desires" (for Tom, a pair of eyes, for Matt, a heap of money, and for Edd a swiming pool filled with Coca Cola). All these gifts were physically real, and the painful side effects (It Burns!) were due largely to the trio's own stupidity.
* MissingStepsPlan: In "Zombeh Nation", Edd's plan to dominate the world using bacon has: step 1: bacon, step 2: bacon with an arrow pointing to the world, step 3: ????, and step 4: world domination.
* MonumentalDamage: Defied. [[spoiler:The demon possessing Matt's body]] in "Hammer and Fail 2" wanted to, but Matt likes monuments and refuses to go along.
* TheMovie: A fan-movie, but a movie nonetheless. [[http://supersmash3ds.tumblr.com It ain't no joke]].
--> '''Marc''': I am not kidding. I am making this happen.
* MusicalEpisode: "Trick or Threat", the 2015 Halloween episode, though it's more of a standard short with a song going along with it.
* TheNeidermeyer: Sgt. Hilarson from "Moving Targets".
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: Eduardo's sole purpose as a supervillain in "[=PowerEdd=]" is to make it clear that he is better than Edd. [[spoiler:Eduardo destroys the city, cuts off the factories that make Edd's favorite things, and nearly kills Edd... because Edd mercilessly taunted him about taking second place back in a primary school art contest.]]
* NoOntologicalInertia: In "Climate Change", when the gang disconnects everything, not only does the tsunami stop, it also goes backwards, restoring all the destroyed buildings.
* NotInTheFace: "Not the face!" is one of Matt's catchphrases.
* TheNthDoctor: The in-universe explanation for Edd's voice change is him being zapped by a voice-changing raygun in "Space Face (Part 2)".
* OhCrap: Edd has a facial version when, in "[=WTFuture=]", he hears the guy from outside the diner say "Ey, Edd!". While Edd ''is still in his booth''.
* OneCurseLimit: In "Trick or Threat", this is the reason why [[spoiler:Kate can't possess Tom]].
* PaperThinDisguise: When Edd, Tom and Matt tried to disguise themselves as fish in "25ft Under the Seat". [[spoiler:It actually worked for a time.]]
** An even more extreme example is when Zanta Claws tries to disguise himself as normal Santa ''by just switching hats''. [[spoiler:It was enough to fool Tom.]]
* PosthumousCollaboration: The real life Edd apparently didn't want the series to end after his death. His friends now carry on his work with a new animator and a new voice actor for Edd's character.
* PowerTrio: As of "25ft Under the Seat".
* TheProblemWithPenIsland: "This is where the '''therapists''' are!" *BeatPanel* "They should really make the space between the E and the R bigger..."
* ProductPlacement:
** Edd is obsessed with Coke and refuses any substitutes. Averted since Edd's death-- Ridgewell stated on Twitter that he wants to avoid being sued for copyright infringement, so Coke became cola.
** Same with Tom and Smirnoff. See BerserkButton.
** Parodied in "Ruined":
--> Tom: What in the name of this delicious bowl of ''Eddsworld'' Cereal happened to my bass!
* PuffOfLogic: In "Zanta Claws II", Edd, Tom, and Matt fly by car to the North Pole by way of the Zed Gear. Matt questions how a car can fly, and their flight is cut short.
* PungeonMaster: Edd is a master of his craft, particularly in the comics:
-->'''Edd''': I can't be'''LEAF''' Matt got stuck in this tree! He was only trying to re'''TREE'''ve our kite!
-->'''Tom''': This is no time to make '''ACORN'''y joke!
-->'''Edd''': Well, I'm '''STUMP'''ed.
-->'''Matt''': Uh, guys, I'm still stuck?
** Alluded to in the [[ThemeTuneRollCall Theme Song]] video.
--> '''Narrator''': Probably due to his linguistic... '''EDD'''-ucation?
--> '''Edd''': That's terrible.
* PutOnABus: Tord was part of their adventures, up until "25ft Under The Seat", where he left. When he found out that Edd died, he decided to make a video giving his reasons for leaving. Unfortunately, Tord deleted his [=YouTube=] account.
* TheRival: EDUARDOOOOO... (Latin guitar strums).
* RuleOfFunny: A lot of the videos rely on this.
* RuleSixtyThree: [[http://paultervoorde.deviantart.com/art/Eddsworld-Girls-373515020 Courtesy of Paul]].
** And then spun off into its [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZNfsB-VacM own episode]].
* RunningGag:
** Matt frequently has gags involving pictures of himself.
** Edd (or, on one occasion, a counterpart of his) giving someone an EmbarrassingNickname while bearing a CatSmile.
** The "[[FlashbackEffects Flaaaaash... baaaaaack]]" jingle and accompanying transition, first appearing in "Hammer & Fail".
** The guitar {{sting}} that plays whenever the guys' {{Evil Counterpart}}s appear in "Hammer & Fail". It's apparently their doorbell sound.
** Tom's house-hunting montage in "The End (Part 2)" features him being attacked by a pack of dogs several times.
* SanityBall: Passed rapidly between Edd and Tom.
* SelfDeprecation: "[=MovieMakers=]" runs on this. Keep in mind both Tom and Matt make [=YouTube=] sketches.
* SeriesFauxnale: The End may turn out to be this, since [[http://cottonserenity.tumblr.com/post/140786434144/quietly-slides-this-here-is-anyone-gonna-talk Edd Gould's mother, Sue Gould, will be taking over as showrunner.]]
* ShmuckBait: [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin Death in a Can]].
--> '''Matt's Grave:''' [[IRegretNothing I REGRET NOTHING]]
* ShoutOut:
** In "[=WTFuture=]" [[Series/DoctorWho the TARDIS]] appears in the background while the gang are being chased, and re-appears during the joyride sequence in "[=Space Face (Part 2)=]". In a later scene of the former episode, the words "Bad Wolf" are also graffitied onto a building.
** In one of the wallpaper designs, Tom, Edd, and Matt are hanging out of the door of the TARDIS as it travels through time. The title? [[{{Pun}} Doctor EW]].
** The room of pilfered alien gadgets in "Space Face Part 1" is absolute ''porn'' for this. In one scene alone, you can see:
*** The heads of [[StarWars R2-D2 and C-3PO, as well as Han Solo's blaster]]
*** A [[Series/DoctorWho Sonic Screwdriver, the head of a Dalek, a Sontaran helmet, and the Tenth Doctor's hand in a jar]]
*** [[Film/RaidersOfTheLostArk The Ark Of The Covenant]]
*** A [[Franchise/StarTrek Starfleet]] RedShirt uniform (complete with blast mark) along with a box marked [[Recap/StarTrekS2E15TheTroubleWithTribbles "Tribbles"]]
*** Another cardboard box labelled [[{{WesternAnimation/Futurama}} "Universe B"]]
*** [[VideoGame/{{Portal}} The Companion Cube]]
*** Franchise/TheHitchhikersGuideToTheGalaxy
*** A sign adorned with the words "[[Film/TheDayTheEarthStoodStill1951 Klattu Verada Nikto]]"
*** A [[Series/RedDwarf Red Dwarf crew space suit, Tension Sheet and the Holly Hop Drive]]
*** The 'How to Cook for Forty Humans' book from the first [[WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons Treehouse of Horror]]
*** The old-school cooker robot from [[Franchise/WallaceAndGromit "A Grand Day Out"]]
*** And of course, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tycx2NJ4evE Tomee Bear]]
** One of the monitors in "Space Face Part 2" reads that the power level is [[DragonBallZ 9001.]]
*** A broken WesternAnimation/WallE unit can also be seen in the garbage disposal unit.
** In "Fun Dead", there's [[WebAnimation/ASDFmovie ASDF Land]]. Also, one of the food stands there says [[VideoGame/ResidentEvil Jill's Sandwiches]]. (Doubles as a shout out to {{VideoGame/Dead Rising}} as well.)
*** Speaking of Resident Evil, during the opening credits (which are a {{Call Back}} to the first Zombeh Attack) you can see a poster for the Umbrella Corporation.
*** One of the background characters is the player character from ''VideoGame/ZombiesAteMyNeighbors''.
*** Yet another cameo in Fun Dead is a zombified version of Simon Pegg from ''Film/ShaunOfTheDead''.
** Near the end of "Saloonatics", Matt's ancestor is seen bragging to two girls that look like human versions of [[VideoGame/{{Undertale}} Catty and Bratty]].
** When [[spoiler:Tom's counterpart Jon]] is seen after the house blows up in "The End (Part 2)", his pose looks exactly like [[Anime/DragonBall Yamcha's]] infamous deathpose when he's killed by a Saibaman.
* {{Snowlems}}: All three versions show up in the winter special, "The Snogre" (get it? Because the ogre is made of snow?)
* TemptingFate:
** Most of the bystanders in "[=WTFuture=]" are killed off or maimed this way. The man who demanded extra crispy chicken gets his hand scorched to the bone via the laser (which also scorches the chicken), a man pushes past an old lady rudely (and is promptly vaporized,) and Superguy and the man with him are vaporized because Superguy is immune to "Everything in the world, except giant lasers."
** Also, in "[=MovieMakers=]":
-->'''Tom''': Even if they don't [like our film], it's not the end of the world. (cut to destroyed London)
* ThatPoorCar: In "Hammer & Fail Part 2", Tom gets flung backwards into his car, setting off the alarm until he turns it off.
* ThemeTune: [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sR2Cbu-5N9Q This one]], used in the full version of "Space Face", uploaded on Website/DeviantArt.
* TokenEvilTeammate:
** Tom tends to be the most sour and hateful out of all of them. Especially around [[BerserkButton Christmas]].
** When he was around, Tord was pretty bad, maybe even ''worse''. For example, in "Zanta Claws I," Edd got yelled at for ignoring his milkman's Christmas Card (mild apathy), Matt got yelled at for stepping on a bug, and Tom got yelled at for eating a pie that he wasn't supposed to eat. Tord got yelled at for ''playing paintball with '''real''' guns.'' (He seems quite proud of himself when reminded of this incident.) [[spoiler: Strongly implied to now genuinely be evil at the end of "The End (Part 1)", and then confirmed to have been evil all along in "The End (Part 2)".]]
* TookALevelInKindness: Matt used to be a complete jerk, but is now a decent guy.
* TookALevelInJerkass: In "The End (Part 2)", Tord returns a little jerkier than before. Not only does he sock Matt in the face for nearly pressing a button, but [[spoiler: it seems his interests now fall into the [[TakeOverTheWorld World Domination]] category.]]
* TriggerHappy: Tord. He brings guns in almost every episode he was in.
* TheUnintelligible: The King of the Fish People from "25ft Under the Seat".
* TheUnreveal:
** Future Edd mentions what year he's from in "[=WTFuture=]", but it's covered up by the sound of a passing bus.
** At the last part of "The End (Part 2)", [[spoiler:Tom tells his friends about why his eyes are black spots... while talking with a mouth full of popcorn]].
* VehicleVanish:
** Played with in "Zanta Claws". Zanta is about to attack the four, until an entourage of Coca-Cola vans blasts by. When they clear, only Matt is left. After an awkward "Oh... um..." a smaller entourage comes along and he too vanishes.
** Played with again in "[=WTFuture=]" where upon looking down an alleyway containing Future Edd, a truck comes along and he vanishes, only to appear next to the trio seconds later. It's also used as a sound effect censor in the same scene.
* VisualPun: A lot of the early comics consist of these.
* WeaksauceWeakness: Edd is saved from death by accidentally discovering the Grim Reapers' one weakness: [[spoiler:gravy. Literally weaksauce!]]
* WhatDoYouMeanItsPhlebotinum: Matt's vanity in "Space Face". Played for laughs when it's shown that the reason the aliens knew this in the first place was thanks to Matt mowing an image of himself into the lawn that was so huge, it could be seen from space.
* WhatDoesThisButtonDo: "The End (Part 1)". When Matt and Edd are pressing buttons in [[spoiler:Tord's secret laboratory]], one of the buttons literally says this. This trope also describes the general mentality of Matt and Edd in this particular scene.
* WhamEpisode: "The End (Part 1)". [[spoiler:[[TheBusCameBack Tord returns after an eight-year absence]] and [[ScrewThisImOuttaHere Tom leaves the house after Tord pushes him too far.]]]]
* WhamLine:
** Meta: "Hey Eddheads. [[{{Understatement}} We have some bad news...]]"
** "The End, Part 1":
--> '''[[spoiler:[[TheBusCameBack Tord]]]]''': Hello, old friend.
** "The End, Part 2":
--> [[spoiler:'''Tord''': Besides, [the hat] goes really well with my giant robot.]]
--> [[spoiler:'''Tom''': I am not! your! friend! *fires harpoon gun*]]
* ZombieApocalypse: Five videos: "Zombeh Attack" 1-3, "Zombeh Nation", and "Fun Dead". The first three form a complete story, whilst the latter two are mostly unrelated. ''Fun Dead'' is technically the only one to operate within the series' loose continuity, since the main cast actually survive its events.
