You've gotta make her say "I do" somehow, after all. Two other forms of media in the ''Mario'' universe that involved Bowser trying to marry Peach (''VideoGame/SuperPaperMario'' and ''ComicBook/SuperMarioAdventures'') did feature hypnosis and brainwashing, and with the recent reprinting of the latter, thanks to VizMedia, it would be a great homage.
