WMG / Prince

The song "1999" was a warning about the Y2K problem.
"2000: 00, party over, oops, out of time" Prince used enough electronic instruments that he had a special insight into this problem.

Prince was an African-American version of The Vampire Lestat.
Think about it. Dude lived to be 57, and still looked like he was in his early 20s. He was constantly wooing women with those eyes. He may possibly have been bisexual. He was introspective. He made great rock-and-roll songs. He was also highly religious. Plus his symbol is one of the symbols in Vampire: The Masquerade...

Prince had Asperger's Syndrome.
Rambling monotone? Check. Obsession and notable proficiency in one area? Check. Eccentric habits? Check. Egocentric? Check. Somewhat reclusive? (By pop star standards) Check.

Prince's death was at least partially his own doing.
Not to paint too broad a brush, but it's possible he ignored his obvious health because he didn't want to go too long without performing. He starts having hip pains, so he downs downed a ton of painkillers so he can get back to his tour immediately, then checks into a hospital for flu-like symptoms, but leaves after two days when they tell him to stay a week because, again, it would require him to sit still for longer than he was willing to.
