Given the Wind Ring likely needs a lot of energy from whoever's inspiriting it to fire, it probably has to give off a lot of heat. And since the Ring is mostly made of metal, it could possibly heat up enough to burn bare hands. Perhaps after learning this the hard way, Klonoa started to don a pair of heat-resistant gloves to shield his palms from there on out.

In the spinoffs, Joka is quirky and comical, just like he was before his SanitySlippage and MoralEventHorizon in Door to Phantomile. The most likely explanation for this is that his memory has been wiped clean, and he doesn't remember becoming as cruel or monstrous as he was in the first game.

Not much evidence for this except that he does sound like he has CrossdressingVoices, like Klonoa and Popka. It would be very thematically fitting for the King of Sorrow to share Klonoa's VA because he is clearly an EvilCounterpart to Klonoa, possibly even representing [[spoiler:Klonoa's depression from the trauma inflicted on him in the previous game]].
