The series is All Just a Dream of Monkey's
Well he has a photo of Vert's mom and they are both Gingers and he could have dreamt that he was a racer named Vert who looked like a sexier of himself that would be the ideal version of himself. Lani is his ideal fantasy for a romantic partner but her Love hate tendencies towards him replicates his person shame on not feeling like women are attracted to him. The version you would see of himself is based on how he is in real life and his best friend Porkchop is his friend in real life. The events in World Race were from a previous dream he had with the same people and because people in real life often have dreams with different looking people than they know and even those imaginary people changed throughout the dream itself, which would explain their design changes between the films, the fact that there are alien worlds to drive on and robot racers and drivers wearing spacesuits racing against him means he may have watched to many Science Fiction films and the Cliffhanger where Vert meets his dad? that is where his dream ended and woke up after that out of Deja Vu.
  • Maybe it's a shared dream by everyone.
Had this series continued, the Metal Maniacs would have eventually had a female member too
The reason why Vert went to the Silencerz portal in the Ultimate Race was because a) there were no other portals activate, and b) he had completed the Ultimate Race already.
If the line had continued, we would have gotten The Reveal that all the Silencerz were the previous members that went into the realms.
Not only is this implied with a lot of the Silencerz actions with the drivers, there was an unreleased action figure of Banjee in Silencerz gear.
If the series had continued, Vert and Lani would have become a couple
Had the series continued, it would be revealed that Karma was an amnesiac Racing Drone of similar design to Gelorum
It's noted by Kurt that Karma has a striking resemblance to Gelorum in both looks and commanding presence, specifically noting it after the damaged Racing Drone that would become Sparky responded to her as if she was Gelorum. Karma also has an unexplained ability to sense the Racing Drones, having sensed the one that was outside the Sweeper she was in.

Most notable however is her personality. Karma is characterized as The Perfectionist, repeatedly testing herself and training so as to better herself, and she was the first to actually realize the true purpose behind the Racing Realms: they're meant to teach drivers the skills to surpass the Realm, the Accelechargers being a reward for mastering the skills. She's also regularly the first one to realize what skill is needed to complete a realm, taking Awesome by Analysis to an extreme level.

Now remember exactly what the Racing Drones were designed for. The Accelerons created the Racing Drones to test the tracks they built, designed to be able to master the skills needed to complete the Realms, until they Grew Beyond Their Programming and sought to prove themselves superior. Starting to sound familiar?

So if she was going to be revealed as a Racing Drone, why was she with the Teku? And why specifically does she resemble Gelorum? Well, the obvious idea is that she was damaged at some point, causing her memory banks to be wiped, much like what happened with the Drone that became Sparky. And with only an innate desire to be the best at driving, she joined up with the first group that would let her race: a street gang like the Teku.

As for the resemblance to Gelorum, either she's the same model as her, or she was meant to be a Body Backup Drive should anything happen to Gelorum's current body. It was demonstrated through RD-L1 that memories can be downloaded into new drones should the old one be destroyed, just as RD-L1's body was in the Swamp Realm. In this case, alternatively, instead of losing memories, she didn't have any memories in the first place, instead she just activated on her own.

Had the series continued, Karma would end up learning about her own nature, possibly thanks to Sparky or due to fighting the Silencerz, and become a Good Counterpart to Gelorum.
Galorum based her appearance off Karma.
An alternate take to the theory above. This explains the resemblance and Kurt's strange response of "it really is a remarkable resemblance". He knows, and is being sly about it. Kurt gave Karma's appearance to Galorum and she based her image off of said human.
Had this series continued, there would have been new line-ups for Wave Rippers, Scorchers, Street Breed, Dune Rats, and Road Beasts.
Major Jack Wheeler joined the Silencerz after his visit to Highway 35 at the end of World Race
This was always my headcanon, that he joined after Tezla was already a member (but probably before he left).
