This is a "Wild Mass Guess" entry, where we pull out all the sanity stops on theorizing. The regular entry on this topic is elsewhere. Please see this programme note.
Champions
Defender is gay.
In the fifth edition Champions book, James "Defender" Harmon IV is rather awkwardly described as handsome, sociable, and completely uninterested in all the attention that he gets from women. He's obviously gay, and the book's just trying to talk around it. Granted, in Champions Online he and Witchcraft are a couple, but that's just an adaptation.
  • Actually, in canon he hooks up with Witchcraft. see Champions Universe: News Of The World.
  • Maybe he's bi?
  • The books have no need to write around it. There's several other openly gay Champions characters, such as Justicar. (Note however that Cryptic never mentioned this fact in their Bios. Make of this what you will)
