Malina and Maliq are adopted siblings.
They don't look much alike and it wouldn't be that outrageous for them to have been raised as siblings even without the same biological parents. Gilak just wants to be chief.
He's just putting on an act to sway people who are genuinely upset or paranoid to his side so they can help him take over. He doesn't care about the issues he's talking about at all.- Half-right. He does want to become the new chief because he feels Hakoda isn't taking the issues serious enough!
Aang will be supportive of Hakoda finding new love with Malina
.Because Aang will empathize with Hakoda's desires, as well as know how much falling in love helped him to build a new life of his own. This will cause tension between him and Katara, perhaps.- Katara will ask if Aang would want either of them to find someone else if the other were to die, and Aang will point out that he has died before - as Yangchen, Kyoshi, Roku, etc - often trying to save someone he loved, but it doesn't make her any less special to him. Hey, she's given the Whoopi Epiphany Speech throughout the Gene Yang comics, Aang deserves a turn.
- He certainly seems to get along well with the couple in the final scene.
