Semi-Known Troper:Uggh, reading these has made me realise the potential that these shows could have had if they weren't so totally dependant on selling merchandise.
Anonymous Mc Cartneyfan: Cut this and put it here for now. Is this a legit guess? If yes, we need to remove the justifications, and maybe we should be a little less scathing about Judai/Jaden, since it appears he has fans. If no... <sigh>
All of Jaden's wins are the result of a Nemesis Plot.
There's simply no way a mentally retarded player using a bottom tier deck could beat a tourney pro and everything that was out to destroy the world. Despite having no knowledge of the game whatsoever, failing ANYTHING academically related to Duel Monsters, and showing no ability to strategise, Jaden is nearly undefeated. Since he can regularly counter things he doesn't understand, it must be a sinister plot to sell poor Hero Cards!
- The Hero Cards have had that effect on the Yu Gi Oh collectible card game (that is, allowing dumb players to own opponents with much more skill).
- This troper believes that there is a marked difference between the game in the anime series and the game in reality — it's something that should be taken note of, since by the same logic as above, Yuugi's own Deck should fall in the luck needed category, given that it's next to impossible to pull his wins with it in the real game, due to the structure. As for the subject of Judai not being able to strategize, this troper points out early Season I, where he managed to predict the moves of Hayato's father before the man himself made them. Conversely, in the tag Duel with Sho, against the Labyrinth Brothers, he purposefully allowed himself to lose life-points in order to keep E-Hero Tempester on the field, knowing that Sho would need him in his next move. This troper also kindly requests that blatant character bashing not be used as a basis for entries here, especially when the arguments can be disproved.
