Houkago no Kamishibaibu (Japanese title 放課後の紙芝居部, roughly translates to "After-School Picture Story Show") is a free game for iOS and Android. It is currently only available in Japanese. Developed by Cave as part of its exploration in other genres, it uses a 2-D animation style that gives off an Adobe Flash or Vanillaware feel.The player chooses one of two schoolgirl sisters to narrate a story, accompanied by detailed paintings. The player can zoom on on the background, which appears to be a school stage, as well as the girls and the paintings. The player can also tap parts of the screen which may get responses from the girls.The game comes with part of "The Little Match Girl" for free, but the rest of the story as well as additional stories are only available via in-app purchase.
