The Turned About Turnabout is a fan-made work the Ace Attorney series created by Gizmological using the Ace Attorney Online trial editor made for the "No Pressure" Competition hosted by Tiagofvarela.

This fan case provides examples of:

  • And Now for Someone Completely Different: Miles Edgeworth takes Phoenix's place as the playable character for the last legs of the case, taking the position of case prosecutor from Sebastian Debeste.
  • Bait-and-Switch: Just when you think the case is over - Surprise Edgeworth appearance!
  • Big Damn Heroes: Edgeworth's sudden appearance keeps the culprit from getting away.
  • Cassandra Truth: Leigh Vine's accusation against Rich Mann.
  • Chekhov's Gun: The suit of armour mentioned early by Gumshoe was the real murder weapon.
  • Crazy-Prepared: Unlike Phoenix and Sebastian, Edgeworth arrives in court after having ran his own investigation, prepared an updated autopsy report, having ran a blood test on the alleged murder weapon and a luminol test on his suspected murder weapon.
  • Epic Fail: Prosecutor Sebastian Debeste arrives to court completely unprepared, without having done any investigation or even looking at the case file, because he spilled juice on the files. Even worse, he was at the wrong trial all along, and his defendant - later revealed to be Shelly de Killer - was declared not guilty due to his absence.
  • Evil All Along: Rich Mann murdered his wife, impaling her on the sword on the suit of armour and then leaving Leigh Vine to take the blame.
  • Greed: Leigh and Rich's respective motives for their crimes. Leigh was essentially being extorted due to her poverty and low pay, so she tried to steal some valuables before leaving. Rich didn't want to pay alimony for his wife after their divorce.
  • Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: How Stephanie Mann was actually killed, impaled on the suit of armour in her room.
  • I Never Said It Was Poison: Leigh Vine incriminates herself not just once, but twice in this manner. First, she mentions that the knife in the safe belongs to Rich Mann, which she shouldn't know since only he and his wife knew about the safe. This inevitably places her in a position where she gained access to it the day of the murder, since the safe hadn't been broken in earlier. Then she mentions that she didn't call the police since Mrs. Mann already did so, a detail she shouldn't have known at the time had she just come across the corpse like she said she did.
  • Mythology Gag: The "updated autopsy report" from the very first game returns in full force.
Phoenix: OBJECTION! Don't do it, Edgeworth! I know what you're about to say!
    Edgeworth: I'm doing it.
    Phoenix: Don't!
    Edgeworth: Your Honour...
    Phoenix: Edgeworth, no!
Edgeworth: I would like to submit this updated autopsy report!
  • Punny Name:
    • Rich Mann is indeed a very wealthy man, as he mentions several times.
    • Leigh Vine is a live-in servant at the Mann Mansion.
  • Right for the Wrong Reasons: Sebastian's logic on how Rich Mann murdered his wife is actually pretty close to what happened. However, a few details are missing. Namely, the bottle was used by the victim to knock out Leigh Vine, who lunged at her with the knife after being caught red-handed stealing her valuables. Rich entered the room at that time and took the opportunity to impale his wife on the sword on the suit of armour, but she tried to defend herself with the knife - which Leigh had dropped - and stabbed him.
  • Villainous Breakdown:
    • Leigh Vine shakes her head left and right multiple times before admitting to the attempted murder-theft.
    • Rich Mann begins sweating on the stand and Phoenix and Edgeworth close in on him, before letting out a scream.
